Do you believe in divine
providence?
This past week, I have
had time to relax, reflect,
meditate, and exercise.
These gifts and my
personal disposition,
that of an idealist and
romantic in the truest
sense of the word, have
given me the opportunity
to reflect in which
direction to take my life
as I approach retirement
in approximately 90 days.
With a body 69 years
of age, and a youthful
mind, I have feared the
word ‘retirement’. Many
men and women simply
enter the chronological
sunset of their lives in
dedicating their lives in
completing one task, the
task of what is ‘fun and
recreational’. Somehow,
I have always known
that this was not going to
be sufficient for me. So,
what road would I travel?
Then, September 2015
arrived, and I debated
whether to re-enroll
in the Dante’s Italian
classes at Centro Caboto.
I contemplated not
returning and enjoy
the evenings of Fall.
However, I eventually
did return and to this day
I do not know why I did
it. To my astonishment,
upon returning, my
former teacher, Rosaria,
was not at the center of
the classroom. She had
assumed a new role and
she had been replaced by
Mafalda.
Mafalda, a person with
unique perspectives and
life experiences beyond
her years, entered my
scholarly life. Life offers
many roads upon which
one can travel. Luckily
our roads intersected; this
was the beginning of the
divine providence.
It continued with
grammar lessons,
readings and her life
stories and experiences.
Each week I was amazed
by what this lady reawakened in me, and how
she stirred my thoughts in
reminding me about what
life truly ought to be.
Then “la pièce de
résistance” made its
entrance, and the
intervention continued.
Mafalda recommended
that we read “The
Little Prince”, a choice,
I am sure, because
of her philosophical
inclinations. Here I
was forced to reflect
upon how a child sees
the world in all of its
simplicity and innocence
– a perspective that goes
dormant in all of us. The
cycle of life eventually
denies us all the innocent
views of a child. Mafalda
followed the reading of
The Prince with various
discussions which were
most helpful in seeing
the world in its simplest
form, id est the way
a child sees it Three
weeks later, Mafalda
recommended reading
“The Seagull Jonathan
Livingstone”, a novel
about pursuing one’s
dreams and true nature, in
preparation for the Italian
Book Club. After rereading The Seagull, my
mind was flooded with
thoughts and reminders
of how idealistic I was in
my youth. However, the
idealism became buried
by life’s responsibilities
and commitment to other
loves such as family;
and, the restrictions of
‘finding food for those
who required it and in
helping those dear to me
in pursuing their dreams’.
But, as the circle of life
has unfolded for me,
my two boys are now
adults and independent,
and with my wife’s early
and premature return to
the Creator, I am, once
again, at the age of 69,
Jonathan Livingstone and
The Little Prince. Life
wanted what it wanted,
and now, I am a man
with the perspectives
of Jonathan and The
Little Prince and with
the opportunity to act
accordingly.
Mafalda, your classes,
unique experiences,
discussions and readings
of The Little Prince, and
The Seagull Jonanathan
Livingstone (along with
all the groundwork
Rosaria cultivated),
have not only made my
knowledge of Italian
soar like Jonathan, but
have given me a fresh
perspective on life and
my future as I venture
into retirement I have
the opportunity to
be The Little Prince,
without the suicide, and
Jonathan Livingstone,
id est, the selfish pursuit
of acting according to
my true nature. This
new adventure is made
possible because of your
appearance in my life and
your very nature.
To a 69 year old man this
is a rare gift. This gift is
the direct result of life’s
intersections and divine
intervention. How divine
it is that our lives have
intersected? How divine
that you introduced me
to The Little Prince and
re-introduced me to The
Seagull in all of us? How
divine that you have
presented me with the
gift and opportunity to reassess my life through the
eyes of The Little Prince
and The Seagull?
Thank you Rosaria, thank
you Mafalda! Thank you
for allowing me to see
what my future life ought
to be.
And all of this wrapped
into one of the world’s
greatest languages – the
language of Dante, the
Italian language, and
the ultimate language
of music and romance.

Centro Update

Centro - based fundraiser very succesful
On Friday, April 15th,
the Centro Caboto
Centre hosted its second
« Pescata », an all-fish
dinner in the pleasant
surroundings of Café 13.
Back by popular demand,
the event sold out within
a few days. The menu
featured antipasti, two
types of pasta, and a
vast array of seafood
and fish, including
baccalà con le patate.
After dinner, the “Vito
De Stefano con Amici”
band, also featuring guest
performances by Tino
D’Antonio and Carmine
La Rosa, provided just
the right type of music
which was much enjoyed
and appreciated by all
guests, particularly the
dancers.
A big thank you goes to
organizer Maria Pepé and
Executive Chef Roberto
Borrelli, as well as the
many volunteers who
assisted with set-up and
service.
Thank you to all the
guests whose presence,
participation and
generosity contributed to
the great success of this
special event!

Devon Clunis inspired

Helping Hands
History in the making
The BUY-A-TILE is an ongoing fund-raiser for children that will
continue as our community continues to grow. For a contribution of
$50, a child has the opportunity to have their handprint become a
permanent piece of the Italian Canadian Centre of Manitoba.
The child will have their handprint and name glazed on a “6x6”
ceramic tile which will be displayed on a
feature wall within the Caboto Centre.

The word “Opera”
doesn’t come from the
Greek , as Mr. Gus
Portokalos would say,
but from the Latin, and
it means “works” in the
sense of the labour done
and the results produced.
The “Opera” is by far
the most complex of all
the performing arts; it
encompasses music,
singing, passions, drama,
acting and dancing , and
all these elements have
to be in perfect harmony
with each other to be able
to offer the audience a
total sense of pleasure.
Music is the food for
the soul, and when you
combine such pleasure
with a gourmet dinner,
food for the body, it
means you have attended
our 18th Evening of Light
Opera on Sunday April
10, 2016. I can tell you,
because I was there and I
can still feel the passion
in the young voices of the
tenors and sopranos as
they delivered their arias.
Passion was the key
word of the evening: the
passion for Opera that
prompted the evening’s
Honoree, the late Justice
A. Kerr Twaddle to
found the Manitoba
Opera Association in
1973; the passion in his
daughter Katherine, as
she shared many touching
and amusing episodes of
her father’s life; and the
passion for music that
prompted a star such as
Tracy Dahl to gift us with
an amazing impromptu
rendition of the aria
“Caro Nome” from
Verdi’s Rigoletto.
There was passion in
the kitchen, where our
beloved Chef Roberto
Borrelli created for
us a delicious gourmet
dinner, passion in Rick
Mayhew’s work of
decorating , and the
passion for music that
the appreciative audience
have shared. Thank you !
There was also the
passion for singing that
we, the members of the
“Viva l’Italia” Choir,
shared, together with our
music teacher, singer and
conductor Julie Biggs,
our pianist Michèle
Barr, our accordionist
Luciano Armenti and
last, but not least, our

Canadian Foundation ,

Following a well
proven tradition, the
dinner started with
a fresh and tasty
“Antipasto Italiano”, a
selection of marinated
vegetables, cheeses and
cold cuts, enriched by
a bocconcino and a
cherry tomato to make
it mini Caprese Salad.
Followed by the Puntilli,
a traditional home made
pasta with a delicious
house tomato sauce.
At this perfect point,
when the audience’s
basic necessity have
been fulfilled , the pianist
Rachel Dyck played
the introductory notes
of a very famous aria
from Verdi’s ( who else!
) Rigoletto’s and an
elegant and self assured
Duke of Mantua, alias
Adam Sperry, walked
on stage and delivered
a perfect “La donna
è mobile” romanza .
Congratulations Adam,
though we ladies may not
agree to what you sang
: Woman is flighty. Like
a feather in the wind,
she changes in voice
and in thought! Always
miserable is he who trusts
her, he who confides in
her his unwary heart!.
But we loved the way
you sang it.
I must say that I was
impressed with the
elegance and stage
manners of all the
performers, and I am
sure the audience shared
the same feeling as
I heard nothing but
great comments and
congratulations for these
promising and talented
young singers. A warm
thank you to Katherine
Twaddle for her precious
help in coordinating the
evening and finding the
artists for us.

everyone enjoyed also in
anticipation for the rest
of this truly beautiful
program.
Three very talented
sopranos entertained
us: Jayne Hammond
and Jillian Bonner in
Lakme’ by Delibes,
Jayne Hammond in Si,
mi chiamano Mimi ,by
Puccini, and Rebecca
Mc Intosh in Come in
quest’ora bruna by Verdi.
The Foundation’s
President Mario Audino’
presented to Mrs. Susan
Twaddle the donation
for the Manitoba Opera
Association in honor
of her late husband,
preceded by a very witty,
moving and amusing
speech lovingly
delivered by Justice
Twaddle’s daughter
Katherine. She mentioned
that in the final days she
would ask her father if
he needed anything and
the answer was “Give me
some Verdi”… and his
memory magic happened:
Verdi came alive in Tracy
Dahl delightful voice as
Gilda in the aria Caro
Nome from Verdi’s
Rigoletto.
No one really knew she
was in the audience, and
that was her gift to the
Twaddle family and to us.
She got a well-deserved
standing ovation.
This amazing evening
evolved with more
spectacular singing.

I have to confess that
when I walked on
stage with my friends
of the Viva l’Italia

my heart was pounding,
it was an honour to
sing after such talented
people, but also quite
a responsibility….

and our accordionist

directed by our wonderful
Julie Biggs, we sang
Ciribiribin , a cheerful
old Italian folk song; Non
ti scordar di me ( forget
me not) which was one of
Justice Twaddle’s favorite
song and it’s also the
motto of the “Memorial”
part of the Foundation
, and Mattinata by
Leoncavallo. In the
evening’s grand finale,
Verdi’s Va pensiero, we
were joined by all the
students and that was a
great feeling.
An evening to remember
indeed. Waiting for the
“same time, next year”
event , I leave you with a

Seniors Corner
L’Angolo Degli Anziani
Connecting Communities - Phase Two
Seniors from the communities of Pilot Mound
and Crystal City Manitoba made a much anticipated visit to the Seniors
of the 55+ Program of the
Centro Caboto Centre in
Winnipeg on April 20,
2016. Their bus pulled
up to the front doors of
the Centro at 11:15 a.m.
Led by Carol Simpson of
the Louise Community
Support Services, they
were enthusiastically
welcomed by the Centro
Seniors, Staff of the 55+
Program and members
of the Committee of
Italian/Canadians of the
Third Age. The group of
approximately 85 people
made its way into the
Mauro Hall where they
sat down to a lunch prepared by Chef Roberto
of the Centro. Prior to
eating, our visitors were
formally welcomed to the
Centro by Mario Audino
the Acting Executive
Director. In his welcoming remarks Mario
referred to the positive
and developing relationship between the seniors
of the Centro Caboto and
the seniors of the Pilot
Mound, Crystal City and
Clearwater communities.
For the luncheon Chef
Roberto prepared - especially for the seniors
- Spezzatino di Miale.
Everyone enjoyed the
spezzetino made from
meat donated by Clinton
and Pam Cavers of Har-
borside Farms in the Pilot
Mound district making
every effort to provide
food products as free
from chemicals as possible. Thank you Clinton
and Pam. Accompanying the Spezzatino were
dishes of pasta, grilled
zucchini, salad and, of
course, Chef Roberto’s
wonderful bread. For desert, the seniors enjoyed
Tiramisu and coffee.
Roberto and his staff
outdid themselves on this
occasion and their skills
and service are much appreciated.
While they were relaxing
with coffee and desert,
the seniors were serenaded by the two strolling
minstrels – Mario Audino
and Cam Hartley. As they
visited each of the table,
Mario and Cam sang a
medley of Italians songs
and invited us to join in.
It was a bravura performance and even though this
is the first time Mario and
Cam performed together
one gets a sense that we
at the Centro will see
Cam again.
After lunch and entertainment all of the seniors
organized themselves
into groups and took part
in a variety of activities – some went off to
experience and learn the
game of Bocce; others
settled themselves in the
Resource Room for a
lively game of Bingo and
still others got together
for a satisfying game of
“7 Up and 7 Down”. By
2:15 p.m. we were all
back in the Mauro Hall
for coffee and a midafternoon snack and more
visiting. The group of 85
then gathered together
for a group photo. After
a protracted leave taking,
our guests boarded their
bus for the drive home.
It was a great and cordial
visit and we look forward
to more of these kinds of
exchanges in the future.

Hartley hanno offerto una
serenata agli anziani con
melodie italiane a cui
tutti sono stati invitati a
partecipare. Mario e Cam
si sono subito trovati
bene insieme anche se
hanno dovuto improvvisare e non sarebbe da
meravigliarsi se dovessimo rivedere presto
Cam al Centro.
Dopo pranzo gli Anziani
hanno avuto modo di
scegliere diverse attivitá:
un gruppo ha imparato a
giocare a bocce, un altro
ha preferito il bingo nella
biblioteca ed un terzo si é
divertito a giocare a carte
nel bar 13.
Verso le 2.15 ci siamo
di nuovo tutti riuniti
nella sala Mauro per
caffé, merendina ed allegre chiacchere. Foto
di gruppo, scambio di
saluti, finché il gruppo si
é preparato per il viaggio
di ritorno.
E' stata una bella e piacevole visita e non vediamo
l'ora di avere altri scambi
di questo genere nel
futuro.

The 55+ Seniors Program Centro Caboto Centre began its Spring 2016 session on April 13, 2016. It will meet every Wednesday from now
until June meet at the Centro Caboto Centre, 1055 Wilkes Avenue, Winnipeg, Manitoba. This session promises to be very active and
plans are being made for a line dancing session, a visit to Fort Whyte, a trip on the Prairie Dog Central and, of course, our Annual Picnic
in June. One of the most important things in healthy aging is to be with others as part of a community.
The program this spring promises to be active and interesting. So get up, shake of the winter mood, get out of the house and come be
with us on each Wednesday of the week.

Italy – Second Healthiest Country in the World

in the Italian Tribune)
Italy has one of the
most efficient healthcare
systems in the world
and the Italian universal
healthcare system has
actually been getting
better and better from
year to year. This is great
news for Italy’s health
care system. This past
February, Bloomberg
Rankings rated Italy the
second healthiest country
in the world and the top
ranked country for health
in all of Europe. This
health score is based on
several factors including,
mortality rates, number
of people smoking, the
percentage of immunizations, the percentage of population with
healthcare, healthcare
efficiency, healthcare
satisfaction and life expectancy.
The Bloomberg rankings
are based on countries
that have a population
of at least 1 million and
provide a health score
and a health-risk score.
Each country’s place was
calculated by subtracting
their risk score from their
health score. The health
score is based on such
factors as life expectancy
and causes of death,
while health-risk is based
on factors which could
negatively impact health,
such as the proportion
of young people who
smoke, the number of
people with high cholesterol and the number of
immunizations.
Singapore has been
named the world’s health-
iest country, using data
from the United Nations,
the World Bank and the
World Health Organization, with an overall score
of 89.45 percent. Italy
ranked second healthiest with 89.07 percent.
Australia came third with
a score of 88.33 percent.
Canada overall ranking
was 14th with a score of
82.46 percent.
As good as the Italian
healthcare system is, the
most common complaint
are long lines and waiting
times for special tests
and for seeing specialists.
Most of the population
was very satisfied with
the medical care that they
receive from their doctors
and also the universal
aspect of the system.
Healthcare spending in
Italy accounted for 9.2
percent of GDP in 2012
(about $3,200 US per
capita) of which about 77
percent is public, slightly
lower than the average
of 9.3 percent in the top
20 industrialized nations
in the world. Healthcare
spending in Canada is 11
percent of GDP (about
$4,500 US per capita).
One of the main reasons
for Italians staying so
healthy is the way they
eat. There is the Mediterranean diet itself, fish,
fresh vegetables, fruit
and the use of olive oil
in cooking. Meats in
Italy are not eaten in
the same portions as
one will find in the U.S.
and the amount of fat in
the meats they prefer is
also less. Meat is eaten
as a separate course in
smaller quantities, if at
all. Lean pork is popular.
In general, the Mediterranean Diet, especially
with its use of olive oil
over butter. Olive oil is
considered to be a much
better choice for your
arteries. People who use
olive oil tend to have a
lower risk factor of both
heart attacks and strokes.
Another healthy component in the Italian diet is
garlic, which lowers the
chance of heart disease,
lowers blood pressure
and helps to prevent
strokes. It also is very
high in antioxidants and
is considered to aide in
the prevention of Alzheimer’s disease.
Even some of the
traditional dishes that
we associate with the
Italian diet are consumed
differently than you will
find in North America.
Pasta and pizza are
prime examples. Italians
eat simple pizzas with
healthier toppings, rather
than slices overloaded
with fatty or greasy toppings. Additionally, you
will find that although
pasta is often one of the
dishes during dinner, it is
not served in large servings. Another attribute
of the Italian manner
of eating is the way the
family comes together at
dinnertime. Most families
in Italy eat the family
meal together and at
the same time. This is a
feature that is important
for relieving stress in life
and assists in promoting
a feeling of well-being,
affording a sense of comfort to la famiglia.

is double that of Italy.

Services Department
expects that the health
expense percent of GDP
will continue its historical
upward trend, reaching
19.5 percent of GDP
by 2017. As far as how
long we live in North
America, the overall life
expectancy in Canada is
82 years and in the U.S.,
their life expectancy is 79
years—34th in the world.
Pastette da inzuppo fatti in casa
Ingredienti:
3 Uova,
80g di Latte,
150g di Olio di semi di girasole, (olio EVO si puo` sostituire)
200g di Zucchero,
1 bustina di Vanillina,
1 Bustina di Ammoniaca per Biscotti (8 a 10 grammi),
600g circa di Farina
Zucchero a piacere per guarnire.
Procedimento:
Impastare bene tutti gli ingredienti. L’impasto deve avere una consistenza morbida e leggermente appiccicosa
Prendere con le mani dei pezzetti di pasta della grandezza desiderata. Fare le forme, passiamoli nello zucchero e mettiamoli in teglia
Infornare a 180 C per 15 a 20 minuti
Prima di gustarli lasciamoli raffreddare completamente.
Tenendoli chiusi in una scatola rimarrannno fragranti per oltre 10 giorni
Per questa ricetta l’ammoniaca (che poi sarebbe un particolare agente lievitante) ha la funzione di far lievitare ed asciugare i biscotti rendendoli leggeri e
friabili inoltre ne allunga la durata (si conservano infatti per molto tempo anche più di un mese). L’ammoniaca agisce durante la cottura ed evapora completamente, quindi non bisogna preoccuparsi dell’odore che si sente mentre stanno cuocendo, dopo il completo raffreddamento non si sentirà nessun odore

in cui brillano i colori
della tv led sintonizzata
su un film in 4k; dalle
prime lavatrici a cestello
con comando manuale
nell’unico bagno di
famiglia, a lavatrici piccole e silenziose, tanto da
essere ospitate nel bagno
“en suite”. Come si sono
trasformate le nostre case
dagli anni ’50 ad oggi,
e che ruolo ha giocato
la tecnologia in questa
evoluzione? La risposta
arriva da una analisi
condotta da Casa.it e
da LG, in occasione del
Fuorisalone di Milano, da
cui emerge il ruolo dominante della zona living,
più ampia in media del
45% e che accoglie la cucina. La cucina, da locale
considerato “di servizio”,
con il passare del tempo
è cresciuta per importanza e dimensioni, fino a
diventare parte integrante
della zona living. Questa
tendenza, già in atto
dagli anni ’90, si è ormai
consolidata soprattutto in
appartamenti di metratura
inferiore ai 90mq. Se
nelle abitazioni costruite
negli anni ’60, nel 95%
dei casi la cucina era un
locale a sé stante, negli
ultimi 10 anni il locale
dedicato è scomparso andandosi ad integrare con
il soggiorno. E’ questa
oggi l’area degli appartamenti moderni che
si può considerare più
importante, se non altro
in termini di metratura.
In un immobile di 100
mq, l’area living oggi è
circa il 40/45% del totale
nel caso di cucina open
space e 35% nel caso di
cucina separata. Minore
spazio per le camere
da letto mentre cresce
l’esigenza di più bagni
anche in ambienti piccoli.
Negli anni ’60 la camera
da letto era considerata
un ambiente più centrale
nella vita domestica e
la sua superficie poteva
arrivare a misurare fino
a 20mq all’interno di un
appartamento di 100mq.
Oggi, in appartamenti
delle stesse dimensioni,
la camera da letto misura
in media circa 13mq.
Questa tendenza è andata
sempre di più affermandosi con la moda
della “cabina armadio”,
ricavata in appartamenti
a partire dai 95/100mq.
Anche il bagno ha quindi
subito una trasformazione in termini di spazi
occupati. Tra gli anni
’50 e ’70, all’interno
degli appartamenti ne
era presente solo uno,
generalmente di ampie
dimensioni (superiori
ai 12mq). Oggi, invece,
anche in appartamenti
più piccoli (70 mq), si
tende a progettare interni
che abbiano almeno due
bagni, ma di dimensioni
minori. La nuova tendenza? Il bagno “en suite”,
accessibile e ricavato
direttamente dalla camera
da letto. Allo stesso
tempo l’innovazione tecnologica anticipa questo
mutamento proponendo
soluzioni di design e di
arredo: se da un lato aumentano le dimensioni di
TV e frigorifero, per altri
elettrodomestici, come
la lavatrice, aumenta la

When people ask me
what is the best time to
visit Italy, my answer is
invariably the same, any
time! Italy is a country
for all seasons and for
all the seasons of life.
No one is too young or
too old to enjoy it! And
I say this out of my own
experience, as I lived in
Italy a good part of my
life and travelled from
tip to toe all year round.
Not only, since I moved
to Canada and began my
career as a travel agent
and tour organizer, I have
escorted many tours with
guests of all ages.
Didn’t Vivaldi immortalize the beautiful “Four
Seasons” with his marvellous violins concerto?
Let’s start with spring:
ideal season for those
who like the blooming
nature returning to life,
the flowers, the first
sunny but not too hot
days, the fresh fruits
and vegetables and the
wines that have matured
to perfection during the
winter. In addition to the
classic art cities (Rome,
Florence and Venice and
the small towns that are a
work of art of their own,
such as San Gimignano,
Spoleto and Positano),
Spring is a good time
to visit the lakes area,
quaint little towns
reflected in the waters of
lake Como, Maggiore or
Garda, and perhaps combine an Opera evening
at the Arena in Verona.
You could also take the
children to the Gardaland
Amusement Park, the
largest in Italy, located in
Castelnuovo del Garda
. There is also the new
Gardaland Sea Life Park

where you will encounter
everything from shrimp
and star fish to seahorses
and tropical sharks. Or
you can take them to the
famous Minitalia Fantasy
World Amusement Park,
where they can admire
all the famous sites of

with children and you
would like to pamper
yourself, you could stay

Garda’s typical wines,

ancient Romans were
already producing wine
in those villas whose remains you can see if you
take a boat tour around
the peninsula of Sirmione. The Lake Garda
is truly one of the most
beautiful and fascinating
places in Italy (and not
only in the spring!), full
of history, art and traditions. Not many people
know that Garda is
actually the largest Italian
lake (not the Maggiore,
in spite of the name
meaning the largest), and
its huge amount of water
mitigates the climate of
the regions, so that they
can grow olive trees (
most northern area in
Europe), and enjoy the
Mediterranean flora with
palm and lemon trees.
Amazing!
The extra virgin olive oil
produced here is mild and
delicate, with a fruity and
artichoke taste, ideal for
dishes of local cuisine,
such as risotto and polenta.
In Tuscany, if you like
music, don’t miss the
Maggio Musicale Fiorentino, the annual arts
festival held in Florence
between April, May and
June. Music has always
played an important
part in the city artistic
scene, the first opera was
performed here at the end
of the 16 century. The
Maggio is now performed in the new Teatro
Dell’Opera, inaugurated
on December 21st, 2011
with Beethoven’s “Ninth
Symphony” directed by
Zubin Mehta. Located in
the western outskirts of
Florence’s historic center,
next to the Cascine Park,
this strikingly contemporary theater complex with
the horseshoe-shaped
main auditorium can seat
1,800 people.
One last spring destination I can recommend :
Sardinia! To those that
want to witness something truly local, put on
for the Sardinians over
the last 360 years, and
plan to attend the Sagra
di Sant’ Efisio, one
of the most important
single event of traditional
culture in the island
of Sardinia. The Sagra
takes place every year
on May 1-4 to celebrate
the legendary intervention of the Saint to rescue
the citizens of Cagliari
from the plague in 1652.
And because the plague
ceased in 1656, the
people of Sardinia, wearing their ever so beautiful traditional costumes,
parade through the city
in memory of the Saint
who is brought out on a
golden carriage held by 4
men walking on a bed or
rose petals. It started with
just a few citizens in their
costumes and today more
than five thousand people
in their lavish costumes,
and more than spectacular traccas , the agricultural carts beautifully
ornate and decorated with
all the local products of
the area where they come
from, not to mention the
gorgeous and smiling
girls in the traditional
costumes of the area of
origins. The city built
temporary viewing
platforms where you can
seat and enjoy this parade
that can be seen only in
Sardinia. Don’t wait too
long to visit the almost
unspoiled island of
