Il celebre, affascinante e seducente itineraio del mitico treno di lusso Orient-Express. Attraverso sei

Dopo aver lasciato Istanbul il viaggio attraversa la Turchia e la Bulgaria, con arrivo il giorno dopo
a Bucarest, per un soggiorno di una notte in un hotel a 5 stelle. Continuerete il vostro viaggio a
Budapest, dove trascorrerete la notte, di nuovo in un grand hotel. Il giorno dopo fermata a Vienna
per un tour pomeridiano. Poi, di nuovo a bordo dell' Orient-Express, per una cena elegante di
addio per raggiungere la favolosa Venezia dove il viaggio si conclude. Ma altre mete ed itinerari Vi

Itinerary
Day 1
•Check in at Istanbul’s Sirecki station in the afternoon to board the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express.
•As the train leaves the station you glimpse magnificent views of the Sea of Marmara.
•Dinner and overnight on board the train.
Day 2
•Continental breakfast is served in your cabin as the train travels through Bulgaria and on into
Romania.
•After lunch onboard, VSOE arrives in Bucharest. Enjoy an early afternoon tour of the city.
•Dinner and overnight in Bucharest at the Athenée Palace Hilton Hotel.
Day 3
•This morning rejoin the train for the short journey to the mountain town of Sinaia.
•On arrival transfer to a local restaurant for lunch and then on to Peles Castle, the summer home of
the former King Carol.
•Return to the station late afternoon and your journey continues towards Hungary.
•Dinner and overnight on board.
Day 4
•Arrive in Budapest this morning and enjoy a sightseeing tour of this city split into two parts by the
Danube river.
•Lunch is provided before transferring to the Sofitel Hotel for an overnight stay.
•Dinner and overnight in Budapest.
Day 5
•Transfer to the station mid morning to rejoin the train.
•Lunch is served as the train crosses into Austria, arriving in Vienna late afternoon, where you
disembark for a visit to this beautiful city.
•Rejoin the train for dinner and your final night on board.
Day 6
•After breakfast on board, whilst travelling through Italy, arrive in Venice mid morning and
disembark into the sparkling city.
Il percorso originale, effettuato per la prima volta il 4 ottobre 1883, era da Parigi a Giurgiu in
Romania, via Monaco di Baviera e Vienna. A Giurgiu, i passeggeri venivano imbarcati sulla
nave che viaggiava lungo il Danubio per giungere a Ruse, in Bulgaria, per prendere un altro treno
per Varna, da dove completavano il viaggio per l'antica Costantinopoli via traghetto. Un altro
percorso cominciò ad essere usato nel 1885 per raggiungere Istanbul con la ferrovia da Vienna a
Belgrado.
Il 1889 vide il completamento della linea ferroviaria diretta per Istanbul. L'Orient Express era allora
un servizio quotidiano da Parigi a Budapest, trisettimanale da qui per Belgrado e Istanbul, e
settimanale per Bucarest e Costanza, sul Mar Nero.
Nello stesso anno, il capolinea est della linea divenne Varna, in Bulgaria, dove i passeggeri si
potevano imbarcare per Istanbul, che però divenne presto raggiungibile direttamente col treno,
rimanendo il capolinea fino alla fine del servizio il 19 maggio 1977...
...Nel 1982, il Venezia-Simplon Orient Express è diventato
un' impresa privata che percorre la tratta da Londra a Venezia. Il
servizio viene eseguito in genere da marzo a novembre,
ed esclusivamente per scopi turistici, con i biglietti che costano più di
$ 3200 per persona pasti compresi. A partire da ottobre 2009
l'azienda offre, una volta l'anno, il servizio da Parigi a Istanbul nel
mese di agosto e da Istanbul a Parigi nel mese di settembre. Tra
