CASTALDI LIGHTING
CASTALDI LIGHTING nasce nel 2011 dalla fusione di Ing. Castaldi Illuminazione e Norlight due aziende storiche del
settore illuminazione e che nel tempo sono riuscite a conquistare una solida e riconosciuta posizione rispettivamente nel
segmento Outdoor (con il marchio Castaldi) e nel segmento Indoor (con il marchio Norlight) con particolare riferimento
all’Office Building, alle aree pubbliche e alle applicazioni specialties (ad es. sistemi d’illuminazione per le clean rooms,
sistemi per ospedali, ecc.).
I prodotti Castaldi e Norlight sono il risultato del continuo impegno di Ricerca e Sviluppo, Lighting Design, della sezione
dedicata al controllo dei processi produttivi e di Quality Assurance che consentono di soddisfare anche le richieste di
prodotti “custom made” dei clienti più esigenti. L’Azienda produce esclusivamente in Italia, negli stabilimenti di Cassano
Magnano e Gallarate, grazie al suo sistema produttivo totalmente integrato e ai laboratori interni di controllo e testing dei
prodotti che consentono di sostenere gli standard più elevati.
Castaldi Lighting opera in tutto il mondo: esporta oltre il 70% della sua produzione con significative presenze in USA,
Francia, Scandinavia e Medio Oriente. Inoltre, l’Azienda da sempre è fortemente attiva nel segmento dei prodotti custom
made dove realizza quasi metà del suo fatturato.
I prodotti Castaldi Lighting sono installati in tutto il mondo nei luoghi più esclusivi e ricercati: ad Abu Dhabi nel Ferrari World
Park, nella Sky Tower Shams e nella Cleveland Clinics, a Londra nell’Università Westminster, a Milano nelle Residenze City
Life, a Roma nell’Agenzia Spaziale Italiana, a Parigi nell’Atelier Renault Champs-Elysées e in molti altri luoghi dell’architettura
contemporanea.
La continua attenzione per il design è un carattere forte e sempre presente nei prodotti di Castaldi Lighting che da tempo
collabora con designer di livello internazionale quali Piero Castiglioni, Claudio Bellini, Alfonso Femia, Gianluca Peluffo.
L’azienda ha sede a Cassano Magnano (VA) e opera secondo le Norme ISO 9001:2000 “Quality Management System”.
CASTALDI LIGHTING was founded in 2011 from the merging of “Ing. Castaldi Illuminazione” and “Norlight”, two wellestablished companies in the lighting sector, which over the years had successfully acquired a well-established and
recognised position respectively in the Outdoor and Indoor segments, with a particular focus on Office Buildings, public
areas etc. and specialised applications (e.g. clean rooms for pharmaceutical production, hospital systems etc.).
Castaldi and Norlight products are the result of the ongoing commitment towards Research & Development, Lighting Design,
control over production processes and Quality Assurance, which means that even the “Custom made” requirements of the
most demanding customers can be always met. The Company manufactures its products solely in Italy, in the Cassano
Magnago and Gallarate plants, thanks to its fully integrated production system and the in-house, product control and
testing laboratories which allow the highest standards to be maintained.
Castaldi Lighting operates all over the world: exports 70% of its production with a significant presence in the USA, France,
Scandinavia and the Middle East. In addition, the Company has always been very active in the segment of custom made
products which generates almost half of its turnover.
Castaldi Lighting products are installed throughout the world in the most exclusive and sophisticated sites: in Abu Dhabi at
the Ferrari World Park, in the Sky Tower Shams and at the Cleveland Clinics, at Westminster University in London, in Zaha
Hadid’s City Life residences in Milan, at the Italian Space Agency in Rome, at the Atelier Renault Champs-Elysées in Paris
and in many other contemporary architectural sites.
The ceaseless attention to Design is an unfailing strength of Castaldi Lighting products; certain top Designers such as Piero
Castiglioni, Claudio Bellini, Alfonso Femia, Gianluca Peluffo have worked with the Company for many years.
The company is located in the surroundings of Cassano Magnano (VA) and operates with a “Quality Management System”
certified ISO 9001:2000.

Aperio rappresenta il più moderno contributo all’illuminazione d’interni. Il suo alto contenuto tecnologico, l’importanza
delle sue dimensioni (oltre 2,6 m di altezza), la sua caratteristica di essere al tempo stesso luce e movimento, lo rendono
il modo più nuovo di rappresentare il segno della luce nell’ambiente. Nato dalla collaborazione di Castaldi Lighting con lo
Studio A++, è un progetto innovativo e al tempo stesso capace di fornire emozioni e suggestioni. Quando viene acceso,
Aperio dispiega progressivamente la sua luce uscendo dalla parete, sulla quale lascia la sua traccia luminosa; spegnendosi,
si ripiega e scompare nella parete stessa.
Aperio represents the most modern contribution to interior lighting. Thanks to its high technological content, its large
size (over 2.6 m high), its ability to convey both light and movement at the same time, it stands out as the newest way of
representing light indoors. The result of a collaboration between Castaldi Lighting and Studio A++, this innovative project
is a source of emotion and excitement. When switched on, Aperio progressively spreads out its light as it comes out of the
wall, leaving a trail of light behind. When switched off, it folds away and disappears into the wall.

Cosa c’è dietro il muro?
Si possono disegnare oggetti in maniera compiuta, e anche la luce può arrivare a definirsi in maniera compiuta con una
forma o con una volontà precisa.
Non riusciamo a pensare la luce come qualcosa che non sia in grado di creare delle reazioni spaziali, al luogo dove si
inserisce, alle persone che la vivono e che sempre possono trovarla un po’ sorprendente. Allora dopo avere fatto librare in
aria anelli di luce a geometria variabile, oggi l’anello sembra uscire da una materia solida, opaca, affermando come la luce
sia la cosa più magica per cambiare la percezione di uno spazio. E ne basta metà! Half.

We cannot think of light as something unable to create spatial reactions, the place where it fits, the people who experience
it and find it surprising.
So after having rised in the air light rings with variable geometry, today seems like the ring is coming out of a solid and

H25 dal design leggero e sottile, prende il nome dall’altezza di soli 25 mm della cornice perimetrale. Creato per l’ambiente
ufficio, H25 soddisfa pienamente gli standard luminosi delle postazioni di lavoro, anche con videoterminali fissi, coniugando
perfettamente efficienza luminosa e comfort visivo. Accoglie differenti tipi di sorgenti, LED o fluorescenti lineari ed è
disponibile nella versione singola o aggregata a sospensione oppure singola a parete. Tre sistemi ottici per ogni esigenza
progettuale: PMMA satinato, PC texturizzato e CDP prismatizzato. Apparecchio di colore bianco goffrato di serie, mentre a
richiesta in grigio alluminio semilucido.

With its light and slim design, H25 takes its name from the height of its perimeter frame: only 25 mm. Designed for office
environments, H25 fully satisfies the lighting standards for work stations, even those with permanent video terminals,
creating a perfect balance between lighting efficiency and visual comfort. It accepts LED or linear fluorescent lamps, and is
available as an individual or continuous suspension fixture or as an individual wall-mounted fixture. Three different optical
systems to satisfy every design requirement: satin-finish PMMA, textured PC and prismatic CDP. The fixture is available in
embossed white as standard, or semi-glossy aluminium grey on request.

Suitable for installation in Grade B and A areas according to EU cGMP, NET has a flush-type design and ensure planarity of
any single elements of the grid, no re-entrant angles on seams, joints or screws that may hinder elimination of particles by
the flow of air and are difficult to clean.
High-grade materials and careful workmanship allow NET to resist to cleaning agents and fumigation cycles based on VHP

The Box series offers versatile solutions for lighting designers and architects. The design is a study in clean lines and

Il segno lineare calpestabile che interpreta lo spazio ed il volume. ICE esprime luce lineare a led omogenea e di grande
effetto. Una gamma di quattro elementi con finitura cristallo perimetrale, lineari aggregabili che completi di gusci
contenitori permettono di alimentare in loop in soli 5 secondi mantenendo l’IP67 , in soli 55 mm di spessore e 30 mm. di
larghezza. Di semplice e veloce installabilità , ampia gamma di accessori , utilizzo a pavimento parete e soffitto ne fanno un
riferimento per il mercato di competenza.

The walkable line which interprets space and volume. ICE expresses great effect LED homogeneous linear light. A range of
four crystal perimeter-finished elements, aggregable linear fixtures complete with housings that can be loop-powered in

Il progetto di bollard da esterni, Float, utilizza per la prima volta la grammatica dell’architettura contemporanea:
- nei materiali, vetro e metallo,
- nel codice estetico, leggerezza e trasparenza,
- nella tecnologia, ibridazione della meccanica con elettronica
Il nome descrive la sospensione del corpo illuminante, un parallelepipedo nero, che è incastonato in due lastre di vetro.
Le lastre emergono direttamente dal piano di calpestio, sostegno il parallelepipedo e sono atte alla conduzione elettrica.
La composizione offre un senso di meraviglia.

The design project of the outdoor bollard, Float, uses for the first time the grammar of contemporary architecture:
- in the materials, glass and metal;
- in the aesthetic code, lightness and transparency;
- in the technology, hybridization of the mechanics with electronics.
The name describes the housing of the luminaire, a black parallelepiped, which is embedded in two glass plates.
These glass plates emerge directly from the floor, supporting the parallelepiped and transmitting the electrical conduction.
This composition provides a sense of wonder.

TEMA riscrive il modo di illuminare la città. È un sistema di corpi illuminanti da palo e applique dal design essenziale,
studiato per l’illuminazione urbana. Grazie alle sue forme pure e minimali, si integra con efficacia sia in contesti storici
che contemporanei. TEMA risponde alle molteplici esigenze del paesaggio urbano, grazie alla sua miniaturizzazione e
flessibilità applicativa: su pali studiati appositamente per garantire un total design o su pali esistenti, in versione singola
o multipla. Nella sua costruzione risiede la sua versatilità, capace di cogliere i benefici della modularità dell’innovativo
sistema brevettato Sled. Dove il flusso e le ottiche necessarie modellano il prodotto, TEMA risponde al progetto.
TEMA rebuilts the way of lighting up a city. The system is made of pole-mounted and wall light fixtures with an essential
design, studied for urban lighting. Thanks to its pure and minimal forms, integrates itself effectively in either historical
and contemporary landscapes. TEMA complies with the multiple needs of urban landscapes, thanks to its miniaturization
and applicative flexibility: either on poles specifically conceived to provide a total design, either on existing poles, in both
single or multiple versions. In its construction lies its versatility, capable of taking advantage of the patented innovative Sled
system modularity. Wherever required luminous flux and optics model the product, TEMA is the answer.
