UNA MACCHIA D’OLIO IN PISTA BEFFA LA BMS
Tutte le speranze della BMS Scuderia Italia di concludere la prestigiosa
24 Ore di Le Mans in una buona posizione sono svanite dopo soli 4 giri
quando la BMS n. 69 si è girata su una macchia d’olio alla “S” du
Karting.
I gravi danni subiti dalla vettura (sospensione anteriore sinistra, radiatore
dell’acqua e carrozzeria posteriore) non avrebbero comunque
permesso alla squadra di rientrare in gara.

“Sono molto deluso e dispiaciuto. Quando ho urtato con la vettura non ci
volevo credere. In quel momento ho pensato a tutti i ragazzi del team
BMS, a quelli Pirelli e al grandissimo lavoro che hanno fatto in queste
ultime due settimane. Purtroppo ho preso una macchia d’olio e mi sono
girato proprio in un punto in cui non ci sono vie di fuga.”

“Eravamo certi di fare una buona gara, nei test la macchina funzionava
perfettamente, le gomme Pirelli davano ottimi riscontri e i piloti erano in
forma, ma contro il fato anche la squadra più preparata si deve
arrendere. E’ però molto deludente aver lavorato tanto per 15 minuti di
gara.”

OIL SPOT OBSTRUCTS BMS LE MANS ASSAULT
All BMS Scuderia Italia hopes to finish in a good position the prestigious
24 Hours Le Mans dropped today when BMS car n.69 spun on an oil spot
at “S” du Karting at lap 4.
The damages at the car: entire front left suspension, water radiator and
rear bodywork, didn’t allow the team to repair the Aston Martin and
rejoin the track.

“I’m very disappointed. When I crashed I couldn’t believe it. I thought to
all the guys of the team, to Pirelli, many people that did a great job for the
entire week. Unfortunately I found an oil spot on my way and I couldn’t do
anything to prevent the crash as in “S” su Karting there isn’t any space.”

“We were sure we could do well in this long race as during the test the car
was perfect, the Pirelli tyres gave us good results and the drivers were
ready to face the race, but nothing is possible against the fate. Everything
went well during the pre-qualifying and all the weekend: not a mistake,
not a failure, not a problem on the tyres. It is disappointed to have worked
so hard and run only 15 minutes.”
