Angelo Nardinocchi
Bass-Baritone
Angelo Nardinocchi studies at St. Cecilia Conservatory,
under the guidance of Jolanda Magnoni. He debuts in
Spoleto, playing the role of Marcello in La Bohème,
which meets great critical acclaim. In the following year,
he is invited to play Rigoletto, which, since then,
becomes the opera that he performs the most.
Later, on advice of Sesto Bruscantini, with whom he
completes his training, he specialises in character roles,
by performing “Il maestro di cappella”, “Il Signor
Bruschino”, Fra Melitone in “La Forza del destino” in
Netherlands, Germany, UK; Leporello in Mozart’s “Don
Giovanni” in Brasil, the Sacristan in La Tosca,
Spinelloccio in “Gianni Schicchi” etc.
Since then, he has been performing, always with great
success, the “operine” of the Eighteenth century by
Pergolesi, Salieri, Scarlatti, Fioravanti.
After his debut, he has always sang in all the major
Italian theatres, accompanying the greatest interpreters,
such as Pavarotti at San Carlo theatre of Naples (“A
masked ball”), Placido Domingo (”Othello”) at the Arena
of Verona and Mirella Freni (“Fedora”) at the Teatro
dell’Opera of Rome and at the Teatro Comunale of
Bologna.
He toured in Japan and in Germany with the Teatro
dell’Opera of Rome, performing “Tosca” and “Traviata”.
He took part in the production of “Carmen”, directed by
Zeffirelli at the Arena of Verona, where he often
performs; he opened ‘96-’97 season of San Carlo theatre
with La Tosca together with Luciano Pavarotti, he sang
in Genoa, Turin, Bologna, Palermo, Florence, Trieste,
Catania, Verona under the baton of the greatest
conductors, such as Mehta, Riccardo Muti, Daniel Oren,
Maurizio Arena.
He has also worked extensively abroad, as for example
in Florida, Korea, Japan, Israel, China, United States (at
the Every Fisher Hall of New York).
