La calibrazione del monitor PTS Diagnostics A1CNow+ è eseguita tramite un set di campioni di sangue a cui è stato assegnato un valore da un laboratorio certificato del National Glycohemoglobin Standardization Program (NGSP), mediante un metodo di riferimento NGSP. I valori di calibrazione dell’emoglobina totale si ottengono con un analizzatore di emoglobina totale (HemoCue Hemoglobin Test System, HemoCue, Inc., Lake Forest, CA). La calibrazione del test A1CNow+ è quindi attribuibile all’NGSP e a un metodo di riferimento della rete certificata NGSP. Raccolta e conservazione del campione Nota: non è necessario che il paziente sia a digiuno o abbia seguito una dieta particolare. Puntura del dito Per il test A1CNow+ di PTS Diagnostics sono necessari 5 microlitri (μl) di sangue intero (1 goccia grande). Il sangue da puntura di dito si ottiene mediante tecniche standard con un sistema con lancette multipaziente. Se per la pulizia si utilizza alcol, verificare che il dito sia completamente asciutto prima di eseguire la puntura con la lancetta. Prelievo venoso di sangue Il sangue venoso deve essere raccolto in provette contenenti eparina (di sodio o di litio, “tappo verde”). Nota bene: non utilizzare EDTA come conservante. I campioni di sangue devono essere miscelati accuratamente e analizzati a temperatura ambiente. I campioni di sangue venoso sono stabili per un massimo di 8 ore a temperatura ambiente e per un massimo di 14 giorni se conservati in frigorifero. Avvertenze e precauzioni 1. Esclusivamente per uso diagnostico in vitro. 2. Leggere attentamente e seguire la Guida alla procedura di utilizzo per uso professionale per assicurare che il test sia eseguito correttamente. 3. In caso di conservazione in frigorifero, mantenere le buste sigillate a temperatura ambiente per almeno un’ora prima dell’uso. 4. Rimuovere le batterie separando le due metà del monitor ed avviarle alle raccolte differenziate. 10. La cartuccia analitica, il campionatore e il dispositivo di prelievo del sangue usati, rappresentano un rischio biologico. Smaltire come rifi uti contaminati/sanitari. Il monitor, se non utilizzato secondo le procedure indicate, o incidentalmente, potrebbe avere residui di materiale biologico, in questo caso va considerato rifiuto contaminato/ sanitario. Non utilizzare monitor con cartucee e kit di diluizione del campione provenienti da lotti diversi. Conservazione e stabilità del kit • I monitor, le cartucce analitiche e i kit di diluizione del campione possono essere utilizzati fino alla data di scadenza riportata sulla confezione e sulle buste se conservati in frigorifero (2-8˚C). I monitor, le cartucce analitiche e i kit di diluizione del campione conservati in frigorifero devono essere eliminati se non vengono utilizzati entro la data di scadenza . • Le cartucce analitiche in busta, i monitor A1CNow+ e i kit di diluizione del campione possono essere conservati a temperatura ambiente (18-28˚C) per un massimo di quattro mesi prima della data di scadenza (SCAD.).
