BROCHURE ACQUARIO DI
ILPERCORSO
THE ROUTE
GENOVA
Il percorso dura circa 2 ore e 30 minuti e comprende 45 vasche
più le 4 a cielo aperto del Padiglione Cetacei. Le vasche
ospitano circa 15.000 pesci di 400 specie diverse che
comprendono uccelli, rettili, anfibi e invertebrati; in questo
padiglione non ci sono solo specie marine, ma anche animali di
foreste pluviali o di acqua dolce.
In particolare, il “nostro” percorso s’incentra su 6 delle 49
vasche dell’Acquario.
The route lasts 2 hours and 30 minutes. During the way you can
see 45 tanks plus the 4 open-sky Cetacean Pavilion tanks. The
tasks host 15,000 types of fish of 4,000 different species as
well as birds, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates since in this
pavilion there are also animals that inhabit the pluvial forest or
fresh water. In particular our route is focused in 6 of the 49
tanks of the Aquarium.
MOLO ANTICO:
La prima sala, chiamata Molo Antico, ospita i pesci del molo di
Ponte Spinola, dove si trova l’Acquario. In questa vasca si
possono osservare specie di organismi marini comuni, come le
stelle marine rosse, la spigola e alcune anemoni. Ci sono, inoltre,
altre specie meno conosciute come il sarago e la donzella
zingarella.
OLD DOCK:
Un grande Padiglione Cetacei, 70
vasche, 400 diverse specie animali per
più di 15.000 animali. Questi sono i
numeri dell’Acquario di Genova.
Conosciuto in tutta Italia e motivo di
orgoglio per la città, l’Acquario è il più
importante in Europa e il quarto al
Mondo.
A pavilion of the Cetaceans is very large. 70 tanks , 400
different animal species for more than 15,000 animals . These
are the numbers of Aquarium of Genoa ; known throughout
Italy and a source of pride for the city , the Aquarium of
Genoa is the most important in Europe and fourth in the
world.

PADIGLIONE CETACEI:
Continuando il nostro percorso, si arriva ad un reparto costruito
recentemente, nel 2013: il padiglione Cetacei. Questo è il
padiglione più grande, anche considerando le enormi
dimensioni degli animali ospitati: ci sono graziosi delfini e
predatori più grandi come gli squali.
È possibile osservarli attraverso una parete vetrata oppure
attraversando un tunnel subacqueo.

TACTILE TANK:
FORESTA DEL MADAGASCAR:
La foresta del Madagascar ospita incredibili esemplari come il
camaleonte di Parson, uno dei più rari con lunghezza di 60 cm;
all’interno vi si trova anche il coccodrillo del Nilo e la simpatica
rana rossa, detta anche rana pomodoro.

FORESTA CENTRO-AFRICA:
La foresta del centro-America ospita varie e fantastiche
specie di tartarughe come la tartaruga Matamata,

Le acque del Mar Tirreno sono trasparenti, molto calde e salate;
per questi motivi rappresentano l’ambiente ideale per la
crescita dei coralli costruttori. Questi coralli danno origine a
scogliere generalmente parallele alla costa. Solo per dare
un’idea delle dimensioni di queste scogliere, basti pensare che in
alcuni punti si sono espanse fino a superare il chilometro di
larghezza! In queste acque calde i pesci sono vari: Anthias dalle
pinne a squama, Domino, Coralli molli, Tridacna.

VASCA TATTILE:
Accessibile grazie ad ascensori e scivoli,

CORAL RED SEA:
The waters of the “Tirreno” sea are transparent
and mostly hot and salty. For these reasons it is
an ideal habitat for coral. Just to give you an
idea of the size of the barrier, just think that
in some places it expands to over a kilometer
wide!. In these waters the fish are various and

CURIOSITÀ
NOTTE CON GLI SQUALI
Una notte fantastica con gli squali: dormire davanti alla loro
vasca e scoprire come si trasforma l’Acquario di Genova al
calar del sole. Un’avventura riservata ai bambini dai 7 ai 13
anni alla scoperta dei comportamenti notturni degli animali.
VASCA TATTILE A DISPOSIZIONE DELL’ OSPEDALE “GASNELLI”:
Lo scopo è offrire ai piccoli pazienti un momento di
svago attraverso la conoscenza del mondo marino, la scoperta
di ciò che si nasconde dietro le vasche e di tutte le curiosità dei
pesci ospiti della struttura.

A NIGHT WITH SHARK
A fantastic night with sharks: sleeping in front of the shark tank
and discover how the Aquarium transfers as the sun goes down.
It is an adventure reserved for children from 7 to 15 years old,
to discover how the acquarium’s animals behave at night.
TACTLE TANK AT THE SERVICE OF “GRASSELLINI” HOSPITAL
One objective is offering to a small patient a moment of fun
through the knowledge of the marine world as well as the
discovery of what is behind the tanks and all of peculiarities of
the aquarium animals.
