Summary II - ipRGCs, expressing melanopsin, are responsible for the nonimage-forming vision. - ipRGCs fibres project directly to the SCN, modulating physiology and behaviour - Ablation of ipRGCs abolish photoentrainment in mice. - Melanopsin is the photopigment responsible of the signal transduction to the SCN.
