Area Gestione Didattica Servizio Formazione Superiore Ufficio Master e Formazione Permanente Robotics and Automation Prof. Marina Indri ECTS credits: 5 The course introduces the fundamental principles and methods that are used to model and control an industrial robotic system, as well as the main topics related to mobile robots. The first part of the course includes the foundational topics of robotics, such as kinematics, dynamics, trajectory planning, and motion control, and some insights into specific aspects both from the control point of view (e.g., interaction control, friction compensation approaches, visual serving) and from the hardware and software architectural one, for a rapid prototyping of the control solutions. The second part is devoted to mobile robotics topics, with a particular attention to localization and mapping issues, as well as to the peculiar advantages and problems related to the multirobot case. Lessons may be integrated by simulation and practical experiments at the Robotics Laboratory, and by seminars on selected topics given by experts operating in the field.
