I guanti sono un equipaggiamento protettivo con le seguenti funzioni:
•durante la guida, fanno da schermo in caso di impatto con eventuale pietrisco proveniente dall’asfalto o insetti che possono
essere molto dolorosi anche a basse velocità
•in caso di caduta, proteggono mani, dita e articolazioni di polso e avambraccio da abrasioni, distorsioni e colpi
•proteggono dall’aria e dal freddo. Per la posizione frontale che hanno in assetto di guida, le mani del pilota sono particolarmente
esposte al vento. Anche il passeggero ne ha bisogno, sia per proteggersi dall’aria che per afferrare saldamente le eventuali
maniglie di sostegno apposte sul retro della moto
•assicurano la giusta presa e sensibilità sulle manopole durante la guida
Gloves are a protective gear with the following functions:
•while riding, they act as protection in case of impact with small stones from the tarmac or insects that can be very painful even
at low speeds
•in case of a crash they protect the hands, fingers, wrist joints and forearms from abrasions, strains and blows
•they protect against the air and the cold. The rider’s hands, due to their position while riding, are particularly exposed to the wind.
The passenger also needs them for protection from the air as well as to better grip the grab handles on the back of the bike
•they ensure correct handlebar grip and sensitivity while riding
Modelli / Models
Il guanto, come il resto dell’abbigliamento tecnico, è strettamente associato all’uso che ne fa il cliente della moto. Nel proporre un
determinato paio di guanti al cliente bisogna quindi valutare che sia coerente con gli altri elementi dell’abbigliamento che possiede
o che sta acquistando. Esistono svariate tipologie di guanti creati con volumi, materiali e tecnologie molto diversi tra loro: come ad
esempio modelli estivi, invernali, in pelle, in tessuto, con membrana, corti, lunghi, per uso sportivo, cittadino o turistico.
The glove, as with the rest of the technical clothing, is closely linked to the customer’s use of the bike. In order to suggest a
particular pair of gloves to the customer, you need to evaluate whether it is consistent with the other apparel items that he/she
owns or is purchasing. There are various types of gloves produced with very different volumes, materials and technologies: for
example summer and winter models, leather, fabric, with a membrane, short, long, for sports, urban or touring purposes.

Lunghezza / Length
Un guanto lungo protegge meglio dal freddo e dal vento mentre un guanto corto è più ventilato e più veloce da mettere/sfilare.
A long glove provides better protection from the cold and the wind while a short glove offers better ventilation and can be put on/
removed more quickly.
Vestibilità / Fitting
Qualsiasi modello di guanto deve calzare bene in posizione di guida, a mano chiusa. Deve essere sempre morbido e confortevole. Il
metodo “di prova” classico è far indossare un guanto al cliente e poi fargli impugnare l’indice e il medio dell’altra mano e viceversa,
simulando una manopola della moto.

The classic ‘test method’ is to let the customer put on try the glove and then make him / her grip the index and the middle fingers

In Europa è in vigore la norma EN 13594/2002 (attualmente in fase di revisione) che garantisce al cliente che i guanti abbiano
superato una serie di test relativi a:
- Atossicità dei materiali e dei trattamenti utilizzati
- Resistenza allo strappo
- Resistenza delle cuciture
- Performance delle protezioni nocche
- Dimensionamento e lunghezza del manicotto
- Trattenuta del polso
Il simbolo CE su un’etichetta cucita all’interno del guanto testimonia l’avvenuta certificazione.
In Europe the EN 13594/2002 standard (currently under review) certifies that the gloves have passed a series of tests relating to:
- Non-toxicity of materials and treatments used
- Tear resistance
- Resistance of the stitching
- Performance of knuckle protectors
- Dimension and length of the sleeve
- Support of the wrist
The CE symbol on the label sewn onto the inside of the glove proves that it has been certified.

Ecco alcune situazioni segnalate durante gli incontri con i fornitori e la rete di vendita:
- Il guanto è un articolo che si usura facilmente perché è sottoposto ad importanti sollecitazioni: un cliente in media acquista un paio
di guanti ogni anno/anno e mezzo mentre acquista il giubbino ogni 3-4 anni
- Il motociclista solitamente ha un paio guanti per uso estivo e un paio per uso invernale
- La durata dipende dall’uso e dalla frequenza di utilizzo, non c’è un periodo “di scadenza” da consigliare
- I guanti per il passeggero costituiscono circa il 20% delle vendite totali
- Il 5% degli acquirenti ricompra i guanti perché li ha persi

•Nel magazzino di un concessionario i guanti non possono mai mancare: sono un articolo ad elevata rotazione di cui occorre essere
sempre provvisti
•Per avere un buon assortimento in negozio, serve almeno un modello, declinato nelle taglie più vendute, per ciascuna tipologia
d’uso
•Per poter proporre al cliente un paio di guanti in linea con l’abbigliamento che acquista, bisogna avere un assortimento di guanti
coerente per tipologia e colori con i capi spalla che sono nel negozio (es. guanti racing con le tute o i giubbini più tecnici, guanti
tour da abbinare al relativo completo giacca + pantaloni)
•In vetrina o in caso di eventi, proporre sempre il total look di cui i guanti sono parte integrante
•Ciò che si espone male si vende poco. Nel negozio sarebbe bene dedicare un’area apposita al display dei guanti per:
-- Dare immediatamente l’idea di gamma
-- Fornire subito il colpo d’occhio al cliente per fargli individuare il modello che gli serve
-- Dare al cliente la possibilità di provare gli articoli anche in modo autonomo esponendo le taglie centrali dei modelli.
Soprattutto per gli articoli con un prezzo più contenuto, l’acquisto può avvenire d’impulso
-- Si consiglia di esporre i guanti in appeso. A tal proposito è in fase di studio un apposito supporto che permette di esporre
i guanti in modo gradevole e fruibile all’interno dell’arredamento corporate
Ricordiamo che, come per i capi spalla, i guanti più complessi e costosi richiedono comunque una spiegazione approfondita per far
comprendere al cliente il contenuto tecnico e quindi il valore di ciò che sta acquistando.

Manufactured by Dainese this new glove introduces a combination of Dainese
soft cowhide leather with Pittards® reinforced goatskin leather with Kevlar®

The Ducati glove style by Spidi features a combination of cowhide leather with
Clarino® microfiber and high strength Keramide® fabric reinforcements and
inserts. The Clarino® palm reinforcements provide leatherlike tensile strength
and tear resistance at one third the thickness of leather. This provides the rider
with great sensitivity and feel without compromising on grip or safety. The
Clarino® as the added advantage of being moisture resistant and breathable,
resulting in a glove that stays soft and supple. These gloves also feature Spidi’s
trademarked carbon fiber knuckle protection for improved shock absorption and
aerodynamics.

normally found in a gauntlet and sport styles with the shorter wrist length of a
street glove. Constructed from a durable and lightweight goatskin leather with
reinforced palms in high grip synthetic leather. Knuckle armor is provided in a
thermoformed TPU backed Carbon Fiber. This glove offers a higher level of
protection than a textile based summer glove without compromising on comfort.
