The topic of the post-doc is the study of the performance of radio access technology as UMTS-HSDPA and IEEE 802.11. Internship in VTT (Espoo, Finland) September 2005 - October 2005 working in the research group led by Dr. Ilkka Norros. The topic of the internship is the study of real Internet traffic of users with UMTS/GPRS access. The internship is funded by CNR (The Italian National Research Council). Internship in France Télécom R&D (Issy-Les-Moulineaux, France) June 2004 - December 2004 working in the research group led by Dr. James Roberts on scalability issues of fair queueing for the QoS in the Internet architecture (see referred pubblications for more details). Research Collaborator in CNIT (Turin, Italy) December 2002 - December 2005 working on the italian FIRB project ”Traffic models and Algorithm for New Generation IP Networks Optimization” (TANGO), supervisor of the project: Prof. Marco Ajmone Marsan.
