Il coro misto L’Echo d'Onex, fondato nel 1904 dalla Société de jeunesse
d'Onex alla periferia di Ginevra, riuniva 20 giovani appassionati di canto e
teatro. Dopo aver attraversato le turbolenze della prima metà del
Novecento, la Società trova nuovo slancio dalla fine degli anni 50,
incontrando un crescente successo grazie alla qualità dei suoi direttori
(Georges Deshusses, Didier Godel, Michel Dumonthey, Jean Mermoud) e
delle opere che interpreta a Ginevra, in Svizzera o all'estero (Vichy, Verona,
Salisburgo, Bruxelles, Praga, San Pietroburgo). L'Echo d'Onex partecipa a
feste cantonali e concorsi vari. Quasi ogni anno presenta un concerto di
Natale in istituti per anziani e chiese ginevrine. Dal 1995 il coro,
attualmente composto da circa sessanta membri, è diretto da Franz
Josefovski che ha dato nuovo slancio facendo ben interpretare opere
impegnative. Annualmente viene presentato anche un concerto di musica
classica, sacra e profana e arie di commedie musicali e operette adattate
per coro. Nel 2009 l'Echo d'Onex ha collaborato con altri due cori ginevrini
per interpretare Carmina Burana di Carl Orff al Victoria Hall di Ginevra e nel
2014, per il suo concerto annuale, ha presentato due opere sacre per
soprano, coro ed orchestra: Miserere in do minore, ZWV 57 di Jan Dismas
Zelenka e Magnificat di Baldassarre Galuppi.
Ars Nova è il coro di Montils, un piccolo paese nella Valle della Loira,
vicinissimo ai prestigiosi castelli di Chaumont, Chambord, Cheverny, Blois,
Amboise e Chenonceau. Il coro, nato nel 1981, comprende circa 40
membri di ogni età provenienti dal paese o dai dintorni. Il loro repertorio è
composto da musica corale a cappella, sacra e profana, classica e
contemporanea. Il direttore del coro, Raphaël Terreau, è anche
compositore e quindi numerosi sono gli arrangiamenti di musica
tradizionale di vari paesi. Il coro ha partecipato a progetti originali come
ballate cantate, spettacoli, il "Festival Excentrique" in Francia e incontra
regolarmente cori locali o provenienti da altre regioni francesi. Questa è la
loro prima esibizione all’estero.
Raphaël Terreau, compositore, direttore di coro, cantante, pedagogo e
musicoterapeuta, ha studiato all’università di Tours. Esercita le sue
molteplici attività professionali con tutte le generazioni, dai neonati agli
anziani. Affascinato dalla voce in tutte le sue dimensioni e in tutte le sue
espressioni, compone essenzialmente per coro a cappella, lavorando sul
rapporto tra poesia e musica.
The mixed choir L'Echo d'Onex, founded in 1904 by the Société de
jeunesse d'Onex on the outskirts of Geneva, brought together twenty
young people who were fond of singing and theatre. After going through
the turbulence of the first half of the 20th century, they have found new
enthusiasm since the late 50s, winning widespread acclaim thanks to the
quality of their directors (Georges Deshusses, Didier Godel, Dumonthey
Michel, Jean Mermoud) and the performed works, in Geneva, in
Switzerland and abroad (Vichy, Verona, Salzburg, Brussels, Prague, St.
Petersburg). L'Echo d'Onex has the opportunity to sing during the
cantonal celebrations, the Festival of Music and in several competitions.
Almost every year they present a Christmas concert. Franz Josefovski who
was able to give it new momentum has directed the choir, now with about
sixty singers, since 1995. Annually they present a concert of classical,
sacred and secular music, musicals and operettas adapted for choir. In
2009 they collaborated with two other choirs of Geneva to interpret
Carmina Burana by Carl Orff at the Victoria Hall in Geneva. In 2014, for the
annual concert, L'Echo d'Onex presented two sacred works for soprano,
chorus and orchestra: Miserere, ZWV 57 by Jan Dismas Zelenka and
Magnificat by Baldassare Galuppi.
Ars Nova is the chorus of Montils, a small town in the Loire Valley, close to
the prestigious castles of Chaumont, Chambord, Cheverny, Blois,
Amboise and Chenonceau. The choir has existed since 1981 and has

or coming from other French regions.This is their first performance abroad.
Raphaël Terreau, composer, choir director, singer, educator and music
therapist, studied at the University of Tours. He works with people of all
ages, from infants to the elderly. Fascinated by the voice in all its
dimensions and in all its forms, he essentially composes for a cappella
choir, working on the relationship between poetry and music.
