HomePort™ SD Card Installation Instructions
Install the Garmin® HomePort program on your computer according to the
following instructions. After installing the HomePort program, refer to the Help file
in the program for usage instructions.
Installing HomePort
1. Insert the HomePort SD card into the SD-card reader on your computer.
2. Complete an action:
• If the autoplay menu appears, select the option to run the setup program
and click OK.
• If the autoplay menu does not appear, click Start > Run. The Run dialog
box appears. Type in the letter of your SD-card drive followed by “setup”
(example: “e:\setup”).
3. Click OK. The Installation Wizard appears.
4. Follow the directions in the Installation Wizard.

Uninstalling HomePort
1. Click Start > Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs. The “Add or
Remove Programs” dialog box appears.
2. Select HomePort, and click Remove. The Installation Wizard appears.
3. Select the Remove option, and then click Next.
4. Click Finish.
Using the Built-in BlueChart® g2 Charts from a
Compatible Chartplotter with HomePort
If you use a chartplotter that contains built-in BlueChart g2 charts and an SD card
slot (such as a GPSMAP® 5212), you can load the BlueChart g2 charts onto the
included HomePort SD card for use with the HomePort program on your computer.
note: You can load the charts from your compatible chartplotter onto any 2 GB or
larger SD card. The included 2 GB card is for your convenience.
To load charts from your chartplotter to the SD card:
1. Insert the SD card into the SD-card slot on your chartplotter.
2. From the Home screen, select Information > User Data > Data Transfer >
Card > Copy Built-In Map > Begin Copy.
Note: Your chartplotter may use a different path to copy the charts to the SD
card. Consult the owner’s manual for your chartplotter, if necessary.
3. When the copying process is complete, remove the SD card from the
chartplotter.

To view the charts loaded onto the SD card in HomePort:
1. Insert the SD card in your computer.
Note: Install the HomePort program only once. When you place the SD card
in your computer after you have transferred the charts from your chartplotter,
the autoplay option to run the setup program may appear.
2. Cancel autoplay, if it appears.
3. Launch HomePort from Start > All Programs > Garmin > HomePort.
The charts pre-loaded on your chartplotter are now available on your computer.
Refer to the HomePort help file for information on selecting and viewing the charts
on your SD card.
Using Optional BlueChart, BlueChart g2 and BlueChart
g2 Vision Cards with HomePort
1. Insert your optional BlueChart, BlueChart g2 or BlueChart g2 Vision card into
the card reader on your computer.
2. Launch HomePort from Start > All Programs > Garmin > HomePort.
Your optional BlueChart, BlueChart g2 or BlueChart g2 Vision charts are now
available on your computer. Refer to the HomePort help file for information on
selecting and viewing the charts on your card.

lettre de votre lecteur de carte SD suivie de « setup » (exemple : e:\setup).
3. Cliquez sur OK. L’assistant d’installation s’affiche.
4. Suivez les indications de l’assistant d’installation.
Désinstallation de HomePort
1. Cliquez sur Démarrer > Panneau de configuration > Ajouter ou supprimer
des programmes. La boîte de dialogue Ajouter ou supprimer des programmes
s’affiche.

2. Sélectionnez HomePort, puis cliquez sur Supprimer. L’assistant d’installation
s’affiche.
3. Sélectionnez l’option Supprimer, puis cliquez sur Suivant.
4. Cliquez sur Terminer.
Utilisation des cartes BlueChart® g2 intégrées d’un
traceur compatible avec HomePort
Si vous utilisez un traceur contenant des cartes BlueChart g2 intégrées et
un lecteur de carte SD (tel qu’un GPSMAP® 5212), vous pouvez charger les
cartes BlueChart g2 sur la carte SD HomePort incluse pour les utiliser avec le
programme HomePort de votre ordinateur.
Remarque : vous pouvez charger les cartes à partir de votre traceur compatible
sur n’importe quelle carte SD de 2 Go ou plus. La carte de 2 Go incluse vous est
fournie pour des raisons de commodité.
Pour charger des cartes depuis votre traceur sur la carte SD :
1. Insérez la carte SD dans le lecteur de carte SD de votre traceur.
2. Sur l’écran d’accueil, sélectionnez Informations > Données utilisateur >
Transfert de données > Carte > Copier la carte intégrée > Lancer la copie.
Remarque : il est possible que votre traceur utilise un autre chemin
pour copier les cartes sur la carte SD. Si nécessaire, consultez le manuel
d’utilisation de votre traceur.
3. A l’issue de la copie, retirez la carte SD du traceur.

Pour afficher les cartes chargées sur la carte SD dans HomePort :
1. Insérez la carte SD dans votre ordinateur.
Remarque : vous n’avez besoin d’installer le programme HomePort qu’une
seule fois. Lorsque vous insérez la carte SD dans votre ordinateur une fois
les cartes transférées depuis le traceur, il est possible que l’option d’exécution
automatique permettant d’exécuter le programme de configuration s’affiche.
2. Dans ce cas, annulez l’exécution automatique.
3. Lancez HomePort depuis Démarrer > Tous les programmes > Garmin > 
HomePort.
Les cartes préchargées sur votre traceur sont maintenant disponibles sur votre
ordinateur. Reportez-vous au fichier d’aide de HomePort pour plus d’informations
sur la sélection et l’affichage des cartes disponibles sur votre carte SD.

BlueChart g2 Vision en option avec HomePort
1. Insérez votre carte BlueChart, BlueChart g2 ou BlueChart g2 Vision en option

Installare il programma Garmin® HomePort sul computer attenendosi alle istruzioni

Installazione di HomePort

Disinstallazione di HomePort
1. Fare clic su Start > Pannello di controllo > Installazione applicazioni.
Viene visualizzata la finestra di dialogo “Installazione applicazioni”.
2. Selezionare HomePort e fare clic su Rimuovi. Viene visualizzata la procedura
guidata di installazione.

3. Selezionare l’opzione Rimuovi, quindi fare clic su Avanti.
4. Fare clic su Fine.
Utilizzo delle mappe BlueChart® g2 integrate da un
chartplotter compatibile con HomePort
Se si utilizza un chartplotter che contiene mappe BlueChart g2 integrate e un
alloggiamento per scheda SD (ad esempio GPSMAP® 5212), è possibile caricare
le mappe BlueChart g2 nella scheda SD HomePort inclusa per utilizzarle con il
programma HomePort sul computer.
nota: è possibile caricare le mappe dal chartplotter compatibile in qualsiasi
scheda SD da 2 GB o più grande. La scheda da 2 GB è inclusa per motivi di
praticità.
Per caricare mappe dal chartplotter nella scheda SD:
1. Inserire la scheda SD nell’apposito alloggiamento sul chartplotter.
2. Dalla schermata principale, selezionare Informazioni > Dati utente >
Trasferimento dati > Scheda > Copia mappa integrata > Inizia copia.
Nota: è possibile che il chartplotter utilizzi un percorso differente per copiare
le mappe nella scheda SD. Consultare il Manuale dell’utente per il chartplotter,
se necessario.
3. Al termine del processo di copia, rimuovere la scheda SD dal chartplotter.
Per visualizzare le mappe caricate nella scheda SD in HomePort:
1. Inserire la scheda SD nel computer.

Nota: installare il programma HomePort solo una volta. Quando si inserisce
la scheda SD nel computer dopo aver trasferito le mappe dal chartplotter,
è possibile che venga visualizzata l’opzione Automatico per eseguire il
programma di installazione.
2. Annullare tale opzione, se viene visualizzata.
3. Avviare HomePort da Start > Tutti i programmi > Garmin > HomePort.
Le mappe precaricate sul chartplotter ora sono disponibili sul computer. Per

Installieren von HomePort

• Wenn das AutoPlay-Menü nicht angezeigt wird, wählen Sie Start >
Ausführen. Das Dialogfeld Ausführen wird angezeigt. Geben Sie den
Buchstaben des SD-Speicherkartenlaufwerks und anschließend setup ein
(z. B. e:\setup).
3. Klicken Sie auf OK. Der Installationsassistent wird angezeigt.
4. Folgen Sie den Anweisungen des Installationsassistenten.

Deinstallieren von HomePort
1. Wählen Sie Start > Systemsteuerung > Software. Das Dialogfeld Software
wird angezeigt.
2. Wählen Sie HomePort, und klicken Sie auf Entfernen. Der
Installationsassistent wird angezeigt.
3. Wählen Sie die Option Entfernen, und klicken Sie auf Weiter.
4. Klicken Sie auf Fertig stellen.
Verwenden der integrierten BlueChart® g2-Karten eines
kompatiblen Plotters mit HomePort
Wenn Sie einen Plotter verwenden, der über integrierte BlueChart g2-Karten und
einen SD-Kartensteckplatz verfügt (z. B. einen GPSMAP® 5212), können Sie die
BlueChart g2-Karten auf die mitgelieferte HomePort-SD-Speicherkarte laden und
mit HomePort auf dem Computer verwenden.
Hinweis: Sie können die Karten von einem kompatiblen Plotter auf eine SDSpeicherkarte mit 2 GB oder mehr Speicherplatz laden. Eine 2-GB-Speicherkarte
ist im Lieferumfang enthalten.
So laden Sie Karten vom Plotter auf die SD-Speicherkarte:
1. Legen Sie die SD-Speicherkarte in den SD-Kartensteckplatz des Plotters ein.
2. Wählen Sie im Hauptmenü die Option Informationen > Benutzerdaten >
Datenübertragung > Karte > Interne Karte kopieren > Kopieren starten.

Hinweis: Abhängig vom jeweiligen Plotter kann der Befehl zum Kopieren der
Karten auf die SD-Speicherkarte vom hier angegebenen Befehl abweichen.

Plotters.
3. Wenn der Kopiervorgang abgeschlossen ist, entfernen Sie die SDSpeicherkarte aus dem Plotter.
So zeigen Sie die auf die SD-Speicherkarte geladenen Karten in
HomePort an:
1. Legen Sie die SD-Speicherkarte in den Computer ein.
Hinweis: Installieren Sie HomePort nur einmal. Wenn Sie die SDSpeicherkarte nach der Übertragung der Karten vom Plotter in den Computer
einlegen, wird möglicherweise die AutoPlay-Option zum Ausführen des
Einrichtungsprogramms angezeigt.
2. Brechen Sie die AutoPlay-Funktion ab, wenn sie angezeigt wird.
3. Starten Sie HomePort, indem Sie Start > Alle Programme > Garmin >
HomePort wählen.
Die auf dem Plotter vorinstallierten Karten sind jetzt auf dem Computer verfügbar.

HomePort™ en tarjeta SD
Instala el programa Garmin® HomePort en el ordenador siguiendo las
instrucciones que se detallan a continuación. Después de instalar el programa
HomePort, puedes consultar las instrucciones de uso en el archivo de ayuda del
mismo.
Instalación de HomePort
1. Inserta la tarjeta SD de HomePort en el lector de tarjetas SD de tu ordenador.

• Si aparece el menú de reproducción automática, selecciona la opción de
ejecutar el programa de instalación y pulsa Aceptar.
• Si el menú de reproducción automática no aparece, haz clic en Inicio
> Ejecutar. Aparecerá el cuadro de diálogo Ejecutar. A continuación,
introduce la letra de la unidad de tarjetas SD seguida de “setup” (por
ejemplo, “e:\setup”).
3. Haz clic en Aceptar. Aparecerá el asistente de instalación.
4. Sigue las instrucciones del asistente de instalación.
Desinstalación de HomePort
1. Haz clic en Inicio > Panel de control > Agregar o quitar programas.
Aparecerá el cuadro de diálogo de “Agregar o quitar programas”.
2. Selecciona HomePort y haz clic en Quitar. Aparecerá el asistente de
instalación.

Uso de las cartas BlueChart® g2 incorporadas desde un
plotter compatible con HomePort
Si usas un plotter que contenga cartas BlueChart g2 incorporadas y una ranura
para tarjeta SD (como el GPSMAP® 5212), podrás cargar las cartas de BlueChart
g2 en la tarjeta SD de HomePort incluida para poder usarlas con el programa
HomePort de tu ordenador.

NOTA: instala el programa HomePort sólo una vez. Cuando coloques la
tarjeta SD en tu ordenador después de transferir las cartas desde el plotter,
podría aparecer la opción de reproducción automática de ejecutar el programa
de instalación.
2. Si aparece, cancela la reproducción automática.
3. Ejecuta HomePort en Inicio > Todos los programas > Garmin > HomePort.
Las cartas precargadas en tu plotter están ahora disponibles en tu ordenador.
