JAQUELINE QUIROS KUBAT DRAGONFLY (RA)
Jacqueline iniziò ad esporre il suo primo cane quando
aveva 8 anni. Dieci anni dopo, ma in Giappone, divenne
uno dei fondatori del SPCA giapponese. Ritornata negli
Stati Uniti, Jacqueline incontrò molto successo nell’allevamento di Whippet, Weimaraner e Greyhound ed ottenne anche la sua licenza AKC di handler per tutte le razze. Verso la fine del 1973, Jacqueline ha anche ottenuto l’abilitazione a giudice FCA
-FCI. E’ qualificata come giudice specialista in parecchie razze. Nel 1972 Jacqueline
era stata invitata a giudicare la sua prima esposizione, un raduno Boxer a Buenos
Aires, dopo del quale l’Hound Show (una combinazione di razze dei Gruppi FCI IV,
VI e X), quindi Dogo Argentino, Cani da Compagnia e un Raduno di Airedale. In seguito è stata nominate giudice specialista nelle seguenti razze: Cocker Americano e
Spaniel, Siberian Husky, Chow-Chow, Bassotti, Yorkshire Terrier, Maltese, Chihuahua, tutte le varietà di Pastore Belga e Schnauzer e per gradi divenne un "all rounder". Ha allevato Whippet, Greyhound, Afghani, Saluki, Piccoli Levrieri Italiani, Doberman, Schipperkes e Barboni Nani. Parla fluentemente Inglese, Francese, Spagnolo e Portoghese. Jacqueline ha giudicato in tutto il Sud America, Panama, Guatemala, Messico, Stati Uniti, Canada, Sud Africa, Nuova Zelanda, Australia (Sydney,
Perth, Launceston, Melbourne Royal – quattro volte, l’ultima nel 2006 -) e Finlandia.
Negli Stati Uniti ha giudicato in numerose esposizioni aperte a tutte le razze, ma
anche l’Akita National ed i seguenti raduni: Schnauzer Standard, Keeshonden, Afghani, Boston Terrier.
Jacqueline began showing her first dog at the age of 8 years. A decade later, while
in Japan, she became one of the founders of the Japan SPCA. On returning to the
US, Jacqueline experienced much success breeding Whippets, Weimaraners and
Greyhounds, as well as obtaining her all-breed AKC handler's licence. By the end of
1973, Jacqueline had also obtained her FCA-FCI All-Breed judging licence. She is
licensed as a specialist in several breeds. In 1972 Jacqueline was invited to judge
her first show, the Boxer Specialty in Buenos Aires, after that the Hound Show which
then was a combination of FCI Groups IV, VI and X plus Dogos Argentinos, the Toy
Group and Airedale Specialty. Later she was appointed a specialty judge in the following breeds: American Cocker Spaniels, Siberian Husky, Chows, Dachshunds,
Yorkshire Terriers, Maltese, Chihuahuas, all varieties of Belgium Sheepdogs and
Schnauzers and gradually became an "all rounder". She has bred Whippets, Grey-
hounds, Afghans, Salukis, Italian Greyhound, Doberman, Schipperkes and Toy Poodles. Fluent in English, French, Spanish and Portuguese, Jacqueline has judged all
over South America, Panama, Guatemala, Mexico, U.S., Canada, South Africa, New
Zealand, Australia (Sydney, Perth, Launceston, Melbourne Royal - four times, latest
being 2006 -), and Finland. In the U.S. she has judged at numerous all breed shows
as well as the Akita National and the following Specialties: St. Schnauzer, Keeshonden, Afghan, Boston Terriers.
SADE HOHTERI - SFINKSIN (FIN)
In tutta la mia vita ho sempre avuto dei cani. Quando ero una
bambina la mia famiglia aveva un Cocker Spaniel Inglese, un
Rottweiler e un Pinscher Nano. Poi, crescendo, ho avuto
Saluki fin dal 1969. Sono una dei più vecchi appassionati ed
esperti di Saluki in Finlandia e nei Paesi Nordici.
Ho allevato 7 cucciolate di Saluki fra il 1973 ed il 1983 (affisso Sfinksin). La femmina
fondatrice, Int Ch Kirman Rumba, aveva un background Britannico degli allevamenti
Burydown e Asphodel e fu accoppiata con Int Ch Mazuri Jacimus, importato dal
Regno Unito. L’allevamento delle 7 cucciolate produsse 19 Campioni Finlandesi (su
un totale di 38 cuccioli) e 2 Campioni Internazionali. Si può ritrovare ancor oggi la
mia linea di sangue nei pedigree.
Per molti anni sono stata membro del Comitato di Allevamento del Club del Levriero
Finlandese e dell’Irish Wolfhound Club di Finlandia. In tutto questo periodo sono
stata anche giudice formatore con riferimento alla maggior parte delle razze levriere.
Al momento faccio parte di tre comitati del Kennel Club Finlandese: Comitato per gli
Standard di Razza, Comitato d’Allevamento e Comitato per l’Informatizzazione.
Sono abilitata a giudicare con assegnazione di CC i Saluki ed i Pharaoh Hound fin
dal 1986. Oggi posso giudicare tutte le razze levriere (del gruppo 10 e quelle
comprese nel gruppo 5), i Basenji ed inoltre alcune altre razze del gruppo 5. Ho
giudicato levrieri in 10 Paesi Europei (inclusa la Gran Bretagna) ed anche negli USA
ed in Australia, specialmente in occasione di Raduni.
Mi sono interessata anche di corse e coursing di levrieri e sono stata abilitata quale
giudice di prove di lavoro dal 1981 e per una decina d’anni. Sfortunatamente non ho
poi più avuto tempo di coltivare anche questo hobby. Una delle esperienze più
interessanti è stata nel 1981 quando sono stata in Scozia per assistere ad un
Meeting di Coursing per Saluki e Deerhound, dove il coursing si correva con la
preda viva.

I’ve lived with dogs all my life. When I was a little girl my family had an English Cocker
Spaniel, a Rottweiler and a Miniature Pinscher. During my grownup life I’ve had
Salukis since 1969. I’m one of the oldest Saluki enthusiasts and experts in Finland and
in the Northern countries.
I’ve bred 7 Saluki litters in 1973 – 1983 (prefix Sfinksin). My foundation bitch Int Ch
Kirman Rumba had British Burydown and Asphodel background and was mated to the
British import Int Ch Mazuri Jacimus. The breeding of 7 litters produced 19 Finnish
Champions (out of 38 puppies) including 2 International Champions. My line is still to
be found in the pedigrees.
I used to be a member in the Breeding Committee of the Finnish Sighthound Club and
the Finnish Irish Wolfhound Club for many years. During this time I also educated new
judges for most of the sighthound breeds. At this moment I’m a member of three
committees in the Finnish Kennel Club: Breed Standard Committee, Breeding
Committee and IT Committee.
I’ve been allowed to award CC’s in Salukis and Pharaoh Hounds since 1986. At this
moment I’m allowed to award CC’s in all the sighthound breeds (group 10 and
sighthounds in group 5) and in Basenjis and some other breeds in group 5. I’ve judged
sighthounds in 10 European countries (including Great Britain) and also in the USA
and Australia, mainly at specialties.
I’ve always been interested also in sighthound racing and in lure coursing and was
allowed to judge the races since 1981 for about ten years. Unfortunately I didn’t have
time to continue that hobby. One of the most interesting experiences was in 1981
when I was to Scotland to watch the alive coursing at a Saluki and Deerhound
Coursing Meeting.
I very much look forward to my visit to the beautiful Garda Show. Quite a many years
have passed since my last visit. Thank you for inviting me.
KATRIN RAIE - DRAGONHUNTER (EST)
Ho sempre amato i cani, fin da quando io mi possa ricordare. Sfortunatamente la mia famiglia non condivideva lo
stesso interesse ed in tal modo ho dovuto attendere il
compimento dei miei 18 anni per poter avere il mio primo
cane di razza. Da quel momento ho condiviso la mia vita
con varie razze, come Pastore Tedesco, Doberman, Labrador Retriever ed un Barbone. Ma solo dopo aver incontrato il mio Afghano nel
1995, il mio distino fu segnato. Fu subito chiaro che il mio vero amore erano i levrieri.
Nel 1997 ho comperato in Finlandia il mio primo Piccolo Levriero Italiano e nel 1999
un Greyhound in Norvegia.
Dopo di che non sono più tornata sui miei passi e, quale membro dell’Unione Estone
dei Levrieri, ho collaborato per definire le regole del coursing ed in tal modo nacque
in Estonia un nuovo tipo di attività sportiva per cani. Ottenere la mia licenza di giudice di prove di coursing fu il naturale passo conseguente. Sono stata capitano della
squadra Estone di Lure Coursing per molti anni e giudicato in Lettonia, Finlandia,
Russia e Norvegia.
Nel 2004 l’FCI ha riconosciuto il mio allevamento con il nome di „Dragonhunter“ e
nacque la prima cucciolata di Piccoli Levrieri Italiani. Da quel momento ho allevato
16 cucciolate ed importato cani dalla Finlandia, Russia, Norvegia e Gran Bretagna.
Nel 2010 ho ottenuto l’abilitazione a giudicare i Piccoli Levrieri Italiani e nel 2014 la
possibilità di giudicare l’intero Gruppo 10. Oggi sono qualificata per giudicare anche
gli Alani nel Gruppo 2, tutti i Bassotti nel Gruppo 4, le Razze Mediterranee ed i Laika
nel Gruppo 5 ed i Chihuahua nel Gruppo 9. Ho giudicato in Estonia, Lettonia, Finlandia e Svezia.
Sono membro dell’Assemblea del Kennel Union Estone, membro del Direttivo dell’Unione Estone del Levriero, la Presidente dell’Assemblea dei giudici Estoni di Lure
Coursing.
Condivido la mia casa con 10 Piccoli Levrieri Italiani, 1 Greyhound, 1 Pointer Inglese
e 1 Papillon. Perciò mi pare sufficientemente chiaro quanto io ami i cani
I have loved dogs as long as I remember. Unfortunately my family didn’t share my
interest so I had to wait until I was 18 when I got my first purebred dog. Since then I
have shared my life with various breeds like German Shepard, Doberman, Labrador
retriever and a Poodle. But only after meeting with my Afghan hound in 1995, my fate
was sealed. It was clear that my true love were the sighthounds. In 1997 I bought my
first Italian greyhound from Finland and in 1999 a Greyhound from Norway.
After that there was no turning back – being a member of the Estonian Sighthound
Union, we made the regulations for lure coursing and a new type of dog-sport got
started in Estonia. Getting my lure coursing judge’s license was a natural next step.
Have been the team leader for the Estonian Lure Coursing Team for many years and
judged in Latvia, Finland, Russia and Norway.
In 2004 FCI approved my kennel name „Dragonhunter“ and the first litter of Italian
greyhounds was born. Since then I have bred 16 litters and imported dogs from Finland, Russia, Norway and Great Britain.
In 2010 I got my dogshow judges license for Italian greyhounds and in 2014 got the
right to judge the whole group 10. At the moment I’m qualified to judge also Great
Danes from Group 2, all Dachshunds Group 4, Mediterranean breeds and laikas
from group 5 and Chihuahuas from Group 9. I have judged in Estonia, Latvia, Finland, and Sweden.

I am a Council Member in the Estonian Kennel Union, a Board Member in the Estonian Sighthound Union, a Chairman of the Estonian Lure Coursing judges Assembly.
I share my home with 10 Italian greyhounds, 1 English greyhound, 1 English pointer
and 1 Papillon. So it is quite clear that I love dogs .
whole FCI Group 10 (All Sighthounds). As a judge, I had assignments at Sighthound
Club Specialty Shows in Italy and abroad all over Europe (Finland, France, Switzerland, Germany, Spain, Denmark, Ireland, Sweden) including the most important
Specialty Shows as the Nationale d’Elevage (F), National/Monografica(E), Donaueschingen (D), Skokloster (S). I also judged in Australia and in the States.

Sono nata con nei miei geni il destino di amare i Levrieri Afgani, giacché i miei genitori sono stati i primi allevatori di questa
razza in Italia, avendo ottenuto dall’ENCI la registrazione del
loro affisso già negli anni ’50. Da studente ho partecipato ad
uno stage di due anni presso l’Università di Veterinaria di Torino, grazie al quale ho ottenuto la qualifica di allevatore professionale. Ho studiato anche alla Facoltà di Letteratura Moderna, nel corso di uno stage
di altri due anni. Sono stata collaboratrice free-lance per riviste cinofile ed opere enciclopediche. Ho scritto articoli e studi tecnici sui cani e sui levrieri, ho lavorato a studi
sui Levrieri Afgani e sullo Standard del Borzoi per l’AIALA e per l’ENCI. Questi lavori
sono stati pubblicati in enciclopedie ed in pubblicazioni a cura dell’ENCI.
Ho iniziato la mia carriera di giudice negli anni ’80, quando ebbi l’autorizzazione a giudicare a manifestazioni minori. Nel 1987 ho ricevuto dall’ENCI la mia prima licenza di
giudice internazionale ed ora sono giudice specialista per le razze Levriero Afgano,
Borzoi, Saluki, Whippet, Piccolo Levriero Italiano. Posso giudicare l’intero Gruppo 10
FCI. Ho avuto esperienze in qualità di giudice ad esposizioni in Italia ed all’estero in
tutta Europa (Finlandia, Francia, Svizzera, Germania, Spagna, Danimarca, Irlanda,
Svezia), inclusi i più importanti raduni come la Nationale d’Elevage (F), la National/
Monografica (E), Donaueschingen (D), Skokloster (S). Ho giudicato anche in Australia
e negli Stati Uniti.
I was born with a destiny to love Afghan Hounds written in my genes, as my parents
had been the first Afghan Hound breeders in Italy, getting their kennel prefix registered
by It. K.C. (ENCI) and F.C.I. in the 50's. I have bred Afghans since I was a child. When
I was a student I studied at the Turin Veterinary University for a stage of two years,
and afterwards I got a Kennel Manager licence state. I studied at the University of
Modern Literature for a two years stage too. I have been a co-operator ("independent"
writer) for dogs' magazines and encyclopaedic works. I wrote articles and technical
studies about dogs and sighthounds. I worked on the Afghan Hound Study and on the
Borzoi Standard Study for our A.H. Club and for E.N.C.I. (It. K.C.) that are published in
some encyclopaedias and some ENCI publications.
I started my judging career in the 80's, when I was approved to judge Open Show. I
got my first International Licence in 1987 by ENCI and I'm a specialist judge for Afghan Hound, Borzoi, Saluki, Whippet, Italian Greyhound. I'm authorized to judge the

Vi sono stati Levrieri Afgani nella mia famiglia fin dal 1968. A
fondare l’allevamento con affisso Xciting è stata mia madre. Io
mi sono affiancata a lei più avanti, quando sono stata grande
abbastanza.
L’allevamento è avvenuto su scala piuttosto limitata, ma con un
buon successo, con parecchi vincitori di BIS/SBIS e molti campioni. Per ricordarne
alcuni, i SBIS BIS CH Xciting So Far So Good, SBIS BIS CH Xciting Xtravagant Creation e SBIS BIS CH Xciting Rattle N’ Hum.
I cani hanno sempre avuto una gran parte nella mia vita, ho lavorato come toelettatrice, mentre oggi lavoro presso il Kennel Club Svedese nel reparto registrazioni.
Nel 2010 ho ricevuto l’abilitazione a giudice FCI. Sono autorizzata per le razze Levriero Afgano, Saluki, Irish Wolfhound, Chihuahua e Russkiy Toy. Sto lavorando per
poter ottenere di giudicare altre razze del gruppo dei Levrieri.
Nell’aprile dello scorso anno sono stata invitata in California a giudicare Afgani e
Saluki. E’ stata un’esperienza fantastica, ma adesso non vedo l’ora di venire a giudicare gli Afgani a Padenghe.
Afghan Hounds has been in the family since 1968. My mother is the founder of the
kennel with the prefix Xciting. I joined in later when I was old enough.
The breeding have been in a very small scale but quite successful with several
SBIS, BIS-winners and many champions. To mention some of them are SBIS BIS
CH Xciting So Far So Good, SBIS BIS CH Xciting Xtravagant Creation and SBIS
BIS CH Xciting Rattle N’ Hum.
Dogs have always been a big part of my life, I have worked as a groomer but today I
work at the Swedish Kennel Club in the register department.
In 2010 I became a licensed FCI judge. I am authorizes on Afghan Hounds, Saluki,
Irish Wolfhounds, Chihuahua and Russkiy Toy. Now I'm in the process to get more
breeds in the Sighthound group.
In April last year I was invited to judge Afghan Hounds and Salukis in California. It
was a great experience and now I look forward to come and judge Afghans in
Padenghe.
