New Pastoral assignment
As of June 30, 2010, Fr. Vito Marziliano will be pastor of both St.
Clare’s Church and St. Nicholas’ Church, on St. Clair Ave. W. This
pastoral assignment was to begin last Summer, but for pastoral
reasons it was delayed until now. Father Vittorio Boria, the
present pastor of St. Nicholas’ Parish will continue to minister to
the Eritrean community there. A Pastoral Associate will also be
assigned to help Fr. Vito in serving both St. Clare’s and St.
Nicholas. His name is Rev. Carlos AndresTroya Acosta,
ordained last year for the Archdiocese of Toronto. He will join us
at the end of June. We pray that both St. Clare’s & St. Nicholas’
communities will continue their journey of faith and Christian
commitment. Let us all support this journey through our prayers.

Sharelife Total
Thanks to your generosity, our total so far is $39,166.50! This
year, Sharelife will also benefit from the matched donations made
by a generous donor who has pledged to match all “new”
donations collected from parishes within the Archdiocese of
Toronto. In this case, a new donation means a donation made
from someone who either has not donated before or did not
donate last year! Since the Sharelife Campaign does not officially
end until the 31st of July, you may still have any last minute
donation count towards this year’s total. Thank you once again
for giving your vital support to the many agencies that make up
Sharelife!
CHILDREN’S LITURGY
During the summer months of July & August,
we will be taking a bit of a break and will not
be having Children’s Liturgy. The Liturgy will
resume on Sunday, September 12th at both
the 9:15 a.m. and the 12 Noon Masses.
Pilgrimage to Martyr’s Shrine in Midland
Our parish will be going on Pilgrimage to the Martyrs’
Shrine in Midland, Ontario on Tuesday, July 6th. We will be
leaving St. Clare’s Church at 7 a.m. and will be back in
Toronto by 7 p.m. that evening. Tickets are $30 each and
may be purchased in the parish office during weekends,
anytime from 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Update on our Insurance Collection
Just a reminder that we still have an outstanding balance on last
year’s Insurance bill. The bill is in the amount of $18,000, but
we’ve only raised $13,000 to date. We ask that you please do
your best with this, as pretty soon we will be receiving this year’s
bill! Envelopes are available at the entrance of the church.

WORLD YOUTH DAYS 2011
World Youth Days 2011 will take place in Madrid, Spain, August
15-21. Young people 18 to 35 from all over the world will join in
prayer and celebration. If interested, please call the office and
leave your name and phone number. We will call you to set up a
meeting in the near future.
CARPET CLEANING
Please note that on Monday, June 28th right after the 9 a.m.
Mass, the church will be closed for the day, so that the carpeting
can be cleaned.
Meeting for those going on
Pilgrimage to the Holy Land
All those who are going to the Holy Land with Fr. Vito are asked
to come to a meeting on Monday, June 28th at 7:30 p.m., in the
Hall.
There will be a meeting for all ushers and anyone interested in
being an usher on Tuesday, June 29th at 7:30 p.m. in the church.
Thursday, July 1st is Canada Day. We will
have Mass at 9 a.m. and the office will be closed.
Holy Hour for Vocations
Holy Hour takes place in the church from 6 – 7 p.m. this 1st
Friday, July 2nd following the 5:30 p.m. Mass. We will have
Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, Meditation, Confessions and
ending with Benediction. This is to pray for an increase in
Vocations to the priesthood and religious life. Please come pray
with us.

Pulizia dei Tappeti

In pellegrinaggio alla Terra Santa
Lunedì, 28 giugno alle 7:30 p.m. nella sala parrocchiale, ci sarà
una riunione per tutti coloro che andranno in pellegrinaggio con
P. Vito in Terra Santa.
RIUNIONE PER GLI USCIERI
Martedì, 29 giugno, si terrà una riunione per tutti gli uscieri e
anche per chi fosse interessato/a a fare l’usciere. L’incontro
sarà in chiesa alle 7:30 p.m.
Giovedì, 1 luglio è Canada Day. Vi sarà soltanto la
Messa delle 9 a.m. e l’ufficio sarà chiuso.
ORA SANTA PER LE VOCAZIONI
Il 2 luglio è primo Venerdì. Avremo le Messe alle 9 a.m. e alle
5:30 p.m. Dalle 6 alle 7 p.m., vi sarà un’ora di esposizione del SS.
Sacramento, con meditazione, confessioni e preghiere in silenzio a
favore delle Vocazioni sacerdotali e religiose. Si concluderà con la
benedizione eucaristica.
Radio Maria
Domenica, 4 luglio Radio Maria sarà qui a S. Chiara per la Messa
delle 10:30 a.m., la quale sarà trasmessa sulla radio.
Pellegrinaggio al Santuario dei
Martiri a Midland
Andremo in pellegrinaggio al Santuario dei Martiri a Midland,
martedì, 6 luglio. Partiremo dalla chiesa alle 7 a.m. con
ritorno a Toronto per le 7 p.m. la stessa sera. Il prezzo dei
biglietti è $30 e possono essere prelevati dall’ufficio durante i
giorni feriali dalle 9 a.m. alle 5 p.m.

Vi ricordiamo che il pagamento per l’assicurazione dell’anno

scorso non e’ ancora stata completamente pagata. La bolletta
era di $18,000, e fin’ora abbiamo raccolto $13,000. Vi
preghiamo di fare il vostro meglio per aiutarci a raggiungere la
cifra.

quest’anno. Le buste si trovano all’entrata. Grazie!
