Beachten Sie die Sicherheitshinweise in den Gerätehandbüchern!
Hinweis!

Die Gerätehandbücher befinden sich auf der
CD-Rom "DiX Dokumente".
1. Legen Sie die CD-Rom in das CD-Rom-Laufwerk ein.
Die CD startet automatisch.
2. Klicken Sie auf Ihre Sprache.
3. Klicken auf das gewünschte Dokument.
Sie benötigen zum Lesen der Dokumente den Acrobat
Reader ®. Der Acrobat Reader ® kann von der CD
"DiX Dokumente" installiert werden.
Achtung!
Verwenden Sie nur das mitgelieferte Netzkabel mit Schutzleiter!
Schließen Sie das Netzkabel nur an eine geerdete
Schukosteckdose an!
Achtung!
Angeschlossene Geräte, die Spannungen größer 50 V AC
oder 75 V DC verwenden, müssen den Forderungen der
Niederspannungsrichtlinie 73 / 23 / EW erfüllen!
Achtung!
Um Forderungen der Richtlinien 89 / 336 / EWG „Elektromagnetische
Verträglichkeit“ zu erfüllen, dürfen ausschließlich geschirmte Kabel
mit entsprechend geschirmten Steckverbindern verwendet werden!
Netzverbindungen mit Normsteckern und im Einzelfall angeführte
Ausnahmen brauchen nicht geschirmt zu werden!
Achtung!
Achten Sie beim Kontaktieren der OBD bzw. Diagnose Fahrzeugdose
mit dem AVL DiOBD 880 auf festen und guten Sitz des Steckers!

Alle angeschlossenen Module müssen ausgeschaltet sein
(AVL DiLink 480 Hauptschalter auf der Rückseite auf „0“ stellen),
da zum Zeitpunkt der Installation die aktuellen Treiber noch nicht
zur Verfügung stehen.
Sie müssen bei der Installation über Administratorrechte verfügen.
DVD "AVL DiX 2.X BO7340" ins DVD-Laufwerk einlegen.
Es erscheint die Maske „AVL DIX SETUP“.
(Sollte die Maske nicht erscheinen,
so starten Sie den Windows-Explorer,
klicken mit der rechten Maustaste auf Ihr DVD Laufwerk
und klicken auf „Autoplay“ (WIN XP) bzw. „Programm installieren oder
ausführen“ (Win Vista)).
Klicken Sie auf „Deutsch“ und dann auf „AVL DiX Installation“.
Falls noch nicht vorhanden: Installieren Sie für Ihr Betriebssystem
(Vista oder XP) „Windows Installer 4.5“.
Starten Sie den AVL DiX-PC neu.
Wiederholen Sie die Punkte 4 und 5.
Falls noch nicht vorhanden: Installieren Sie „.NET Framework 3.5“.
Wiederholen Sie die Punkte 4 und 5.
Klicken Sie auf „DiX Installation“.
Akzeptieren Sie die Lizenzvereinbarung.
Wählen Sie Ihre Ländervariante aus.
Wählen Sie die zu installierende Anwendung aus.
Bestätigen Sie die Abfragen mit „Weiter“ bzw. „OK“.
Nach abgeschlossener Installation schalten Sie alle
AVL DiX Module ein.
(Netzschalter auf der Rückseite des AVL DiLink 480 auf „1“ stellen).
Stecken Sie den AVL DiX Dongle (silber) an einen USB Steckplatz.
Das Betriebssystem erkennt die neue Hardware und installiert die
entsprechenden Treiber automatisch.
Die Installation von unsignierten Treibern bestätigen Sie mit „OK“.
Beim Update der Firmware AVL DiSmoke 480 geben Sie Ihren Namen ein.
Die Soft- und Hardwareinstallation ist nun abgeschlossen.

Schalten Sie Ihren AVL DiX-PC ein und warten Sie bis die
Windows-Oberfläche erscheint.
Legen Sie die CD "AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS“ in das DVD-Laufwerk ein.
Das Setup Programm startet automatisch.
(Sie können auch im Unterverzeichnis \DISK1\SETUP.EXE anklicken um das
Setup manuell zu starten).
Klicken auf „Weiter“, „OK“ und „Ja“ um den Installation durchzuführen.
Folgen Sie den Anweisungen am Bildschirm bis die Installation
(der Update) beendet ist.
Nur bei einer Erstinstallation:
- Stecken Sie den AVL Diagnose-Dongle (blau) an einen
USB Steckplatz.
- Das Betriebssystem erkennt die neue Hardware und installiert die

Nach dem erstmaligen Starten der AVL DiX ECU
DIAGNOSTICS
Automatische Schnittstellensuche:
- Klicken Sie auf: „Service“, „Setup“, „AutoCom“, „OK“ und
„Übernehmen“.
Aktualisieren der AVL DiOBD 880 Firmware:
a) AVL DiOBD 880 ohne Bluetooth:
- Schließen Sie die AVL DiOBD 880 an die Diagnosebuchse des
Fahrzeuges an.
Falls an der AVL DiOBD 880 nicht die blaue LED leuchtet, so schalten Sie
die Fahrzeug-Zündung ein. (AVL DiOBD 880 muss spannungsversorgt sein).
- Klicken Sie auf: „Service“, „DiOBD Update“ und auf „Ja“.
b) AVL DiOBD 880 mit Bluetooth:
- Verbinden Sie den AVL DiX-PC und AVL DiOBD 880 mit dem USB-Kabel.
- Schließen Sie die AVL DiOBD 880 an die Diagnosebuchse des Fahrzeuges

an. Falls an der AVL DiOBD 880 nicht die blaue LED leuchtet, so schalten
Sie die Fahrzeug-Zündung ein. (AVL DiOBD 880 muss spannungsversorgt
sein).
Klicken Sie auf „Service“, „Setup“, „AutoCom“ und (nachdem die
Schnittstelle gefunden wurde) auf „Übernehmen“.
Klicken Sie auf: „Service“, „DiOBD Update“ und auf „Ja“.
Nach dem Update trennen Sie die USB-Verbindung
AVL DiOBD 880 – PC.
Machen Sie die AVL DiOBD 880 kurzzeitig stromlos (Verbindung AVL DiOBD
880 – Fahrzeug trennen).
Klicken Sie auf „Service“, „Setup“, „AutoCom“ und (nachdem die
Schnittstelle gefunden wurde) auf „Übernehmen“.
Bluetooth-Anbindung
Beachten Sie hierzu das Dokument AT 7193 Bluetooth-Anbindung auf der CD
„Dokumente“.

Lizenzdatei auf Dongle übertragen
Wenn Sie eine neue Funktion von AVL DiX (z. B. Scope- oder Diagnosefunktion)
erworben haben, müssen Sie nach einem Software-Update eine neue Lizenzdatei
laden, um diese neue Funktion benutzen zu können.
a) mit Betreuungsvertrag:

Nach abgeschlossener Installation erfolgt eine automatische
Systemaktualisierung.
Bitte folgen Sie den Anweisungen am Bildschirm.
b) ohne Betreuungsvertrag:

Sie haben von der AVL DiTEST ein neues Lizenzfile erhalten
(Email, CD, …).
Legen Sie den Datenträger auf welchem sich die neue Lizenz befindet
(CD „Lizenzen“, USB Stick, …) ein.
Klicken Sie auf „Extras“, „System aktualisieren“, „Lizenz“ und wählen
Sie den Ordner auf den sich die Lizenz befindet.
Klicken Sie auf die Lizenzdatei.
Klicken Sie auf „Weiter“.

USB-Hardwareschutz - Dongle
Es gibt mehrere Möglichkeiten, wo dieser AVL DiX USB- Hardware-schutz oder
kurz „USB Dongle“ (silber) angebracht wird.
AVL DiX AU Station
(Mobil oder Stationär - inkl. AVL DiLink 480):
Sitz des USB Dongles an der Rückseite Ihres AVL DiLink 480 Moduls. Sicherung
gegen Verlust über eine Kugelkette.
AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS Station (Slimeline PC oder
Laptop):
Sitz des USB Dongles an der Rückseite Ihres AVL DiX PC’s oder auf einem USB
HUB.
AVL DiX Drive Pocket (ohne AVL DiLink 480):
Sitz des USB Dongles im Inneren des AVL DiX Drive Pocket
AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS
Für die AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS gibt es einen weiteren, blauen USB
Dongle, welcher an einem freien USB-Anschluss aufgesteckt sein muss.
Der USB Dongle (silber) erfordert mind. die Installation der AVL DiX
Produktversion V.1.4.1.6.
Mit diesem USB Dongle (silber) werden alle aktuellen aber auch künftigen
Softwarefunktionen, welche in der AVL DiX Software integriert sind überwacht
und lizensiert (=freigeschaltet).
Ein Verlust des USB Dongles bedeutet auch den Verlust aller Softwarefunktionen,
da ohne USB Dongle bzw. ohne gültige Lizenz die AVL DiX Software nicht
einsatzfähig ist.
Wichtige Information im Servicefall:
Im Falle eines Gerätedefekts möchten wir Sie darauf hinweisen, den AVL DiX
Dongle (silber) und den AVL Diagnose Dongle (blau) vor dem Versand des
defekten Geräts von diesem abzuziehen und an Ihr neues AVL DiX Modul (z.B.
AVL DiLink 480) wieder aufzustecken.
Die AVL DiX Software ist nach Einstecken der USB Dongles sofort wieder
einsatzbereit.

1. Insert the CD-ROM into the CD-ROM drive.
The CD starts automatically.
2. Click on your language.
3. Click on the desired document.
You will need Acrobat Reader® to be able to read the documents.
Acrobat Reader® can be installed from the CD “DiX Documents”.
Warning!
Only use the supplied power cord with protective conductor!
Only connect the power cord to a grounded earthing contact
socket outlet!
Warning!
Connected devices using voltages of 50 V AC or 75 V DC and higher
must meet the requirements of the low voltage directive 73 / 23 / EEC!
Warning!
To meet the requirements of directive 89 / 336 / ECC “Electromagnetic
compatibility” only shielded cables with shielded connectors may be
used.
Mains connections with standard connectors and exceptions which
will be stated individually need not be shielded.
Warning!
Make sure that the plug is firmly and properly seated in the socket
when connecting the OBD or vehicle diagnostic jack with the
AVL DiOBD 880.

All connected modules must be turned off
(turn AVL DiLink 480 main switch on rear to “0”)
as the current drivers are not yet available during the installation.
You need to have administrator rights for the installation.
Insert the DVD "AVL DiX 2.0 BO7340" into the DVD drive.
The “AVL DIX SETUP” mask is displayed.
(Should the mask not be displayed, start Windows Explorer, with the right
mouse button click on your DVD drive and click on “Autoplay” (XP) or
“Install or execute program” (Vista), respectively).
Click on “English” and then on “AVL DiX Installation”.
If not installed yet: install “Windows Installer 4.5” for your operating system
(Vista or XP).
Restart the AVL DiX PC.
Repeat points 4 and 5.
If not installed yet: install “.NET Framework 3.5”.
Click on “DiX Installation“.
Accept the license agreement.
Select your country.
Select the application to be installed.
Confirm the queries by choosing "Proceed" or "OK".
Re-start the AVL DiX PC.
After the installation is completed, turn on all AVL DiX modules
(turn power switch on the rear of AVL DiLink 480 to “1”).
Plug the AVL DiX dongle (silver) into a USB slot.
The operating system automatically detects the new hardware and installs the
required drivers.
Confirm the installation of unsigned drivers by choosing “OK”.
On updating the firmware AVL DIGas 480 and AVL DiSmoke 480 entering
your name is requested.
The software and hardware installation is now completed.

Turn on your AVL DiX PC and wait until the Windows screen appears.
Insert the CD "AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS“ into the CD drive.
The setup program starts automatically.
(You can also click on \DISK1\SETUP.EXE in the subdirectory to manually
start the setup).
Click on “Proceed”, “OK” and “Yes” to start the installation.
Follow the instructions on the screen until the installation (the update) has been
completed.
Only when first installing the AVL diagnostic software
- Plug the AVL diagnostic dongle (blue) into a USB slot.
- The operating system automatically detects the new hardware and
installs the required drivers.
- Confirm the installation of unsigned drivers by choosing “OK”.
a) AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS with AVL DiX:
Import the license file to the dongle.
Proceed as described in chapter 6 Import of license file to dongle.
b) AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS without AVL DiX
When the diagnostic software is started for the first time an input mask
appears.

Enter the activation code and click on “Enter code”.
The activation code is only validly entered if the button
“Enter code” is selected!
Please make sure to type in all minus signs!
It is not relevant whether upper or lower case letters are used!

After having started the AVL DiX ECU
DIAGNOSTICS software for the first time
Automatic interface detection:
- Click on: “Service”, “Setup”, “AutoCom”, “OK” and “Enter”.
Updating of AVL DiOBD 880 firmware:
a) AVL DiOBD 880 without Bluetooth:
- Connect the AVL DiOBD 880 to the diagnostic jack of the vehicle.
If the blue LED on the AVL DiOBD 880 is not illuminated, turn on the ignition
of the vehicle.
- Click on: “Service”, “DiOBD Update” and on “Yes”.
b) AVL DiOBD 880 with Bluetooth:
- Connect the AVL DiX-PC to the AVL DiOBD 880 using the
USB cable in this case.
- Connect the AVL DiOBD 880 to the diagnostic jack of the vehicle.

If the blue LED on the AVL DiOBD 880 is not illuminated, turn on the ignition
of the vehicle.
Click on: “Service”, “Setup”, “Autocom” and after an interface is found, on
“Submit”.
Click on: “Service”, “DiOBD Update” and on “Yes”.
After update completed, please disconnect USB cable.
Disconnect temporary AVL DiOBD 880 from power supply (unplug AVL
DiOBD 880 from vehicle).
Click on: “Service”, “Setup”, “Autocom” and after an interface is found, on
“Submit”.
Bluetooth Connection
Please note the document AT 7193 Bluetooth Connection on the CD
“documents”.

USB hardware protection - dongle
There are several possibilities where this AVL DiX USB hardware protection or in
short “USB dongle” (silver) can be attached.
AVL DiX exhaust emission testing station
(mobile or stationary - including AVL DiLink 480):
USB dongle is attached to the rear of your AVL DiLink 480 module. Protected
from loss by a ball chain.
AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS (slim line PC or laptop):
USB dongle is attached to the rear of your AVL DiX PC or to a USB HUB.
AVL DiX Drive Pocket (without AVL DiLink 480):
USB dongle is attached in the interior of the AVL DiX Drive Pocket.
An additional, blue USB dongle is provided for the AVL diagnostic software which
has to be plugged into a free USB port.
The USB dongle (silver) requires the installation of AVL DiX product version V.
1.4.1.6 or higher.
This USB dongle (silver) is used to control and license (activate) all current but
also future software features, which are integrated in the AVL DiX software.
If you loose the USB dongle, you also loose all software features since the AVL
DiX software cannot be operated without the USB dongles i.e. a valid license.
Important information in case of service requirement:
Please note that in case of a device defect the AVL DiX dongle (silver) and the
AVL diagnostic software dongle (blue) have to be removed from the faulty
device before sending it to us and the dongles should then be attached to your
new AVL DiX module (e.g. AVL DiLink 480). The AVL DiX software is immediately
ready for operation after the USB dongles have been plugged in.

N’utilisez le câble d’alimentation livré qu’avec un conducteur de
protection ! Branchez le câble d’alimentation uniquement à une prise
de courant à contact de protection qui est mise à la terre !
Attention !
Les appareils connectés qui utilisent des tensions supérieures
à 50 V AC ou 75 V DC doivent répondre aux exigences de la
directive Basse tension 73 / 23 / CEE !
Attention !
Afin de répondre aux exigences des directives 89 / 336 / CEE
« Compatibilité électromagnétique », seuls des câbles
blindés, associés à des connecteurs blindés de façon appropriée,
peuvent être utilisés !
Les connexions électriques effectuées avec des fiches standard ainsi
que certaines exceptions désignées au cas par cas ne nécessitent
aucun blindage !

Tous les modules connectés doivent être éteints (positionner l’interrupteur

Au moment de l'installation, vous devez disposer de droits

Entrez votre nom à la mise à jour de la Firmware AVL DiGas 480 / AVL

Allumez votre PC AVL DiX et attendez que l’interface utilisateur Windows
apparaisse.
Insérez le CD « AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS » dans le lecteur de CDROM.
Le programme de configuration démarre automatiquement.
(Vous pouvez également cliquer sur \DISK1\SETUP.EXE, dans le sousrépertoire, pour démarrer l’installation manuellement.)
Cliquez sur « Continuer », « OK » et « Oui » pour procéder à
l’installation.
Suivez les instructions affichées à l’écran jusqu’à ce que l’installation (la mise
à jour) soit finie.
En cas de première installation uniquement :
- insérez la clé matérielle de diagnostic AVL (bleue) dans un poste
d’enfichage USB
- le système d’exploitation reconnaît le nouveau matériel informatique
et installe automatiquement les driveurs correspondants
- confirmez l’installation de driveurs non signés à l’aide d’« OK ».
L’installation du logiciel et du matériel est à présent achevée.
a) AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS L avec AVL DiX:
Transférez le fichier de licence vers la clé matérielle.
Procédez comme décrit au chap. 6 Transférer le fichier de licence vers
la clé matérielle.
b) AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS sans AVL DiX
Lors du premier démarrage du logiciel de diagnostic, il apparaît un masque
de saisie.

Le code de validation ne peut être accepté que par le biais du bouton

Mise à jour du firmware AVL DiOBD 880 :
a) AVL DiOBD 880 sans Bluetooth :
- Raccordez l'AVL DiOBD 880 à la prise de diagnostic du véhicule.
Si la LED bleue de l'AVL DiOBD 880 ne s'allume pas, mettez le
contact (l'AVL DiOBD 880 doit être alimenté).
- Cliquez sur : « Service », sur « Mise à jour DiOBD » et sur « Oui ».
b) AVL DiOBD 880 avec Bluetooth :
- Raccordez l'AVL DiX-PC et l'AVL DiOBD 880 avec le câble USB.
- Raccordez l'AVL DiOBD 880 à la prise de diagnostic du véhicule.

Si la LED bleue de l'AVL DiOBD 880 ne s'allume pas, mettez le
contact (l'AVL DiOBD 880 doit être alimenté).
Cliquez sur «Service », « Setup », « AutoCom » puis
(une fois le port trouvé) sur « Reprise ».
Cliquez sur : «Service », « Mise à jour DiOBD » et « Oui ».
Après la mise à jour, débranchez le câble USB assurant la liaison
AVL DiOBD 880 – PC.
Mettez l'AVL DiOBD 880 hors tension pendant un court instant
(débranchez le câble assurant la liaison AVL DiOBD 880 –
véhicule).
Cliquez sur «Service », « Setup », « AutoCom »
puis (une fois le port trouvé) sur « Reprise ».

Veuillez respecter le document AT 7193 Liaison Bluetooth sur le CD

Transférer le fichier de licence vers la
clé matérielle
Si vous avez acquis une nouvelle fonction de AVL DiX (par ex. la fonction de
scope ou la fonction de diagnostic), vous devez, après avoir effectué une mise à
jour du logiciel, charger un nouveau fichier de licence pour pouvoir utiliser cette
nouvelle fonction.
a) avec contrat d’assistance :

Une fois l’installation terminée, le système est actualisé
automatiquement.
Veuillez suivre les instructions à l’écran.
b) sans contrat d’assistance :

Clé USB de protection par le matériel
informatique
Il existe plusieurs endroits où cette protection par le matériel AVL DiX ou, plus
court, « Clé matérielle USB » (argentée) peut être placée.
Poste AVL DiX AU
(mobile ou fixe, y compris AVL DiLink 480) :
Emplacement pour la clé matérielle USB au dos de votre module AVL DiLink 480.
Protection contre la perte au moyen d’une chaîne à billes.
Poste de AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS
(PC ou ordinateur portable Slimline) :
Emplacement pour la clé matérielle USB au dos de votre PC AVL DiX ou sur un
HUB USB.
AVL DiX Drive Pocket (sans AVL DiLink 480):
Emplacement pour la clé matérielle USB à l’intérieur d’AVL DiX Drive Pocket.
Pour le logiciel de diagnostic AVL, il existe une autre clé matérielle USB, bleue,
qui doit être enfichée dans une prise USB non occupée.
La clé matérielle USB (argentée) nécessite au moins l’installation de la version
V.1.4.1.6 d’AVL DiX.
A l’aide de cette clé matérielle USB (argentée), toutes les fonctions logicielles,
non seulement actuelles mais aussi futures, qui sont intégrées dans le logiciel
AVL DiX, sont surveillées et possèdent une licence (=sont activées).
Comme sans clé matérielle USB, ou sans licence valide, le logiciel AVL DiX n’est
pas utilisable, la perte de la clé matérielle USB entraîne aussi la perte de toutes
les fonctions logicielles.
Information importante en cas de recours en garantie :
Nous souhaitons vous faire remarquer que, en cas de défaut de l’appareil, la clé
matérielle AVL DiX (argentée) et la clé matérielle du logiciel de diagnostic
AVL (bleue) doivent être retirées de l’appareil défectueux avant d'envoyer ce
dernier et être de nouveau enfichées sur votre nouveau module AVL DiX (par ex.
AVL DiLink 480).
Après l’enfichage de la clé matérielle USB, le logiciel AVL DiX fonctionne à
nouveau immédiatement.

Cliquee en „Continuar“, „OK“ y „Si“ para realizar la instalación.

- Conecte el dongle de AVL Diagnose (azul) en un puerto USB.
- El sistema operativo reconoce el nuevo hardware e instala

Actualice el Firmware de AVL DiOBD 880:
a) AVL DiOBD 880 sin Bluetooth:
- Conecte la AVL DiOBD 880 al casquillo de diagnóstico del
vehículo. Si el LED azul de la AVL DiOBD 880 no está iluminado,
conecte el encendido del vehículo.

Si el LED azul de la AVL DiOBD 880 no está iluminado, conecte
el encendido del vehículo. (La AVL DiOBD 880 debe disponer de
alimentación de tensión).
Haga clic en “Servicio”, “Setup”, “AutoCom” y (tras localizarse la
interfaz) en “Aceptar”.
Haga clic en: “Servicio”, “Actualización DiOBD” y en “Sí”.
Una vez realizada la actualización, desenchufe la conexión
USB entre la AVL DiOBD 880 y el PC.
Deje brevemente la AVL DiOBD 880 sin corriente (desenchufar la
conexión entre la AVL DiOBD 880 y el vehículo).
Haga clic en “Servicio”, “Setup”, “AutoCom” y (tras localizarse la
interfaz) en “Aceptar”.

Transferir el archivo de licencia al
dongle
Si ha adquirido una nueva función de AVL DiX (p. ej. Scope o Diagnóstico),
después de actualizar el software debe cargar un nuevo archivo de licencia para
poder utilizar esta función.
a) con contrato de asistencia:

Después de terminar la instalación, se realiza una actualización
automática del sistema.
Siga las instrucciones en la pantalla.
b) sin contrato de asistencia:

Usted ha obtenido un nuevo archivo de licencia de la empresa AVL
DiTEST (correo electrónico (e-mail, CD, etc.).
Coloque el disco donde se encuentra la licencia nueva (CD „licencias“,
USB Stick, etc.).
Haga clic en "Herramientas“, „Actualizar el sistema“, "Licencia“ y
seleccione la carpeta donde se encuentra la licencia.
Haga clic en el archivo de licencia.
Haga clic en „Siguiente“.

Dongle - Protección de hardware USB
Hay varias posibilidades donde puede colocarse esta protección de hardware
AVL DiX USB o brevemente „dongle USB “ (plata).
Unidad AVL DiX
(Móvil o fija - incl. AVL DiLink 480):
Asiento del dongle USB en el lado posterior de su módulo AVL DiLink 480.
Protegido frente a pérdidas mediante una cadena.
Unidad AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS (Slimeline PC o
portátil):
Asiento del dongle USB en el lado posterior de su AVL DiX PC o en un USB
HUB.
AVL DiX Drive Pocket (sin AVL DiLink 480):
Asiento del dongle USB en el interior del AVL DiX Drive Pocket.
Para AVL Diagnóstico existe otro dongle USB azul, que debe conectarse a un
puerto USB libre.
El dongle USB (plata) requiere al menos la instalación de la versión del producto
V.1.4.1.6 del AVL DiX.
Con este dongle USB (plata) se controlan y licencian (= autorizan) todas las
funciones actuales y también futuras de software que van integradas en el
software de AVL DiX.
La pérdida del dongle USB significa también la pérdida de todas als funciones de
software, ya que sin dongle USB o sin las licencia válida no puede utilizarse el
software de AVL DiX.
Información importante en caso de servicio:
En caso de un defecto del aparato, le avisamos que antes de enviar el aparato
defectuoso retire el dongle AVL DiX (plata) y el dongle AVL Diagnose (azul) y
los conecte de nuevo a su módulo AVL DiX (p.ej. AVL DiLink 480).
Tras colocar el dongle USB, puede utilizarse de inmediato el software AVL DiX.

Nota bene!

I manuali dell’apparecchio si trovano sul CD-Rom
"DiX Dokumente".
1. Inserire il CD-Rom nell’apposito lettore.
Il CD si avvia automaticamente.
2. Fare clic sulla lingua desiderata.
3. Fare clic sul documento desiderato.
Per leggere i documenti è necessario il programma Acrobat
Reader ®. Acrobat Reader ® può essere installato dal CD
"DiX Dokumente".
Attenzione!
Utilizzare esclusivamente il cavo di rete fornito con il conduttore di
protezione! Collegare il cavo di rete esclusivamente ad una presa
provvista di messa a terra!
Attenzione!
Gli apparecchi collegati che utilizzano tensioni superiori a 50 V CA o
75 V CC devono soddisfare i requisiti della direttiva 73 / 23 / CE sulla
bassa tensione!
Attenzione!
Per soddisfare i requisiti della direttiva 89 / 336 / CEE “Compatibilità
Elettromagnetica” devono essere impiegati esclusivamente cavi
schermati con relativi connettori schermati!
Non è necessario schermare i collegamenti di rete con spine a
norma e le eventuali eccezioni dei singoli casi!
Attenzione!
Durante il collegamento del OBD o del connettore diagnostico del
veicolo con l’AVL DiOBD 880, assicurarsi che la spina sia ben salda!

Tutti i moduli collegati devono essere spenti
(posizionare su “0” l‘interruttore principale nella parte posteriore del AVL
DiLink 480), poiché al momento dell’installazione i driver aggiornati non sono
ancora disponibili.
Per l’installazione è necessario disporre dei diritti da amministratore.
Inserire il DVD "AVL DiX 2.0 BO7340" nel lettore.
Appare la finestra “AVL DIX SETUP”.
(Se la finestra non appare, avviare Windows Explorer, cliccare con il tasto
destro del mouse sul drive DVD e cliccare su “Autoplay” (XP) oppure
“Installare o eseguire il programma” (Vista)).
Fare clic su “Italiano”, e quindi su “Installa AVL DiX”.
Se ancora non appare: installare “Windows Installer 4.5” sul proprio sistema
operativo (Vista oppure XP).
Riavviare il AVL DiX-PC.
Ripetere le operazioni dei punti 4 e 5.
Se ancora non appare: installare “.NET Framework 3.5”.
Riavviare il PC AVL DiX.
Fare clic su “Installa DiX”.
Accettare l’accordo di licenza.
Scegliere la versione del proprio paese.
Scegliere l’applicazione da installare.
Confermare le richieste con “Avanti” oppure “OK”.
Una volta completata l’installazione, accendere tutti i moduli
AVL DiX.
(posizionare su “1” l’interruttore di rete nella parte posteriore del
AVL DiLink 480).
Inserire il chiavetta AVL DiX (argento) in una porta USB.
Il sistema operativo riconosce il nuovo hardware e installa automaticamente i
relativi driver.
Confermare con “OK” l’installazione di driver senza firma.
Inserire il proprio nome durante l’aggiornamento del firmware AVL DiGas /
AVL DiSmoke 480.
L’installazione di hardware e software è completata.

Accendere il PC AVL DiX e attendere l’avvio di Windows.
Inserire il CD "AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS“ nel lettore CD-ROM.
Il programma Setup si avvia automaticamente.
(È anche possibile cliccare sulla sotto directory \DISK1\SETUP.EXE per
avviare il Setup manualmente).
Cliccare su “Avanti”, “OK” e “Sì’” per eseguire l’installazione.
Seguire le istruzioni sullo schermo fino al completamento dell’installazione (o
dell’aggiornamento).
Solo alla prima installazione:
- Inserire la chiavetta del sistema diagnostico AVL (blu) in una porta
USB.
- Il sistema operativo riconosce il nuovo hardware ed installa
automaticamente i relativi driver.
- Confermare con “OK” l’installazione di driver senza firma.
L’installazione di hardware e software è stata completata.
a) AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS con AVL DiX:
Copiare il file di licenza sulla chiavetta.
Procedere come descritto nel cap. 6 Copia del file di licenza sulla
chiavetta.
b) AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS AVL senza AVL DiX
Al primo avvio del sistema diagnostico appare la finestra di inserimento.

Inserire il codice di sblocco e cliccare su “Conferma codice”.
Il codice solo viene salvato solo se si clicca su “Conferma
codice”.
Fare attenzione al segno meno!
È possibile scrivere sia in maiuscolo che in minuscolo!

Dopo il primo avvio del AVL DiX ECU
DIAGNOSTICS
Ricerca automatica interfaccia:
- Fare clic su: ”Service”, “Setup”,"AutoCom”, “OK” und “Applica”.
Aggiornamento firmware del AVL DiOBD 880:
a) AVL DiOBD 880 senza Bluetooth:
- Collegare il AVL DiOBD 880 alla presa diagnostica del veicolo.
Se sul AVL DiOBD 880 il LED blu non si illumina, attivare l’accensione del
veicolo. (l'AVL DiOBD 880 deve essere collegato all'alimentazione di
tensione).
- Fare clic su: “Service”, “DIOBD aggiornamento” e su “Sì”.
b) AVL DiOBD 880 con Bluetooth:
- Collegare l'AVL DiX-PC al AVL DiOBD 880 con il cavo USB.
- Collegare l'AVL DiOBD 880 alla presa di diagnosi del veicolo.

Se sull'AVL DiOBD 880 non si accende il LED blu, inserire l'accensione del
veicolo. (l'AVL DiOBD 880 deve essere collegato all'alimentazione di
tensione).
Fare clic su "Service", "Setup", "AutoCom" e (dopo che è stata trovata
l'interfaccia) su "Applica".
Fare clic su: "Service", "DiOBD aggiornamento" e su "Sì".
Dopo l'aggiornamento eliminare il collegamento USB tra
AVL DiOBD 880 e PC.
Scollegare l'AVL DiOBD 880 dall'alimentazione di corrente per un breve
periodo (rimuovere il collegamento AVL DiOBD 880 - veicolo).
Fare clic su "Service", "Setup", "AutoCom" e (dopo che è stata trovata
l'interfaccia) su "Applica".
Collegamento Bluetooth
Al proposito si veda il documento AT 7193 Collegamento Bluetooth sul CD
“Dokumente”.

Copia del file di licenza sulla chiavetta
Se è stata acquistata una nuova funzione di AVL DiX (ad es. funzione di
scansione o di diagnosi), dopo un aggiornamento del software è necessario
caricare un nuovo file di licenza per poter utilizzare la nuova funzione.
a) con Contratto assistenza:

Al termine dell’installazione il sistema si aggiorna in automatico.
Seguire le istruzioni sullo schermo.
b) senza Contratto assistenza:

Avete ricevuto un nuovo file di licenza da AVL DiTEST (E-mail, CD, …).
Inserire il supporto dati che contiene la nuova licenza (CD “Licenze”,
chiavetta USB, …).
Cliccare su “Extra” / “Aggiorna sistema” / “Licenza” e selezionare la
cartella che contiene la licenza.
Cliccare su File licenza.
Cliccare su “Avanti”.

Protezione hardware, chiavetta USB
La protezione hardware USB AVL DiX, in breve “Chiavetta USB” (argentata) trova
numerose applicazioni.
Stazione analisi gas di scarico AVL DiX
(Mobile o fissa - con AVL DiLink 480):
La porta della chiavetta USB si trova nel lato posteriore del modulo
AVL DiLink 480. Legare la chiavetta ad una catenina per non perderla.
AVL DiX ECU DIAGNOSTICS DiX (PC Slimeline o portatile):
La porta della chiavetta USB si trova nel lato posteriore dell’AVL DiX PC oppure
su un hub USB.
AVL DiX Handheld (senza AVL DiLink 480):
La sede della chiavetta USB si trova all’interno dell’AVL DiX Handheld Scantool.
Per il sistema diagnostico AVL esiste un’altra chiavetta USB blu, che deve essere
collegata ad una porta USB libera.
La chiavetta USB (argentata) prevede come requisito minimo l’installazione
dell’AVL DiX versione V.1.4.1.6.
Con questa chiavetta USB (argentata) vengono monitorate e licenziate
(sbloccate) tutte le funzioni software attuali e future integrate nel software AVL
DiX.
La perdita della chiavetta USB equivale alla perdita di tutte le funzioni del
software, dal momento che non è possibile utilizzare il software AVL DiX senza
chiavetta USB o una licenza valida.
Informazioni importanti in caso d’assistenza:
In caso di difetti all’apparecchio, si consiglia di scollegare la chiavetta AVL DiX
(argentata) e la chiavetta del sistema diagnostico AVL (blu) prima di spedire
l’apparecchio difettoso e di ricollegarle al nuovo modulo AVL DiX (ad es. AVL
DiLink 480). Il software AVL DiX è di nuovo pronto all’uso subito dopo il
collegamento delle chiavette USB.
