Città-simbolo della rivoluzione industriale e ora centro culturale di una certa rilevanza, Manchester ospita
due università.
L’accordo stipulato con la Manchester Metropolitan University, che è un’istituzione molto grande seppure
relativamente giovane, offre la possibilità di accedere a corsi di vario livello in svariate lingue straniere,
oltre all’inglese (sono attivati francese, tedesco, spagnolo, e, a livelli più elementari, cinese).
Il percorso formativo è particolarmente idoneo a perfezionare l’ambito dei cultural studies e
sociologico/antropologico.

Gli insegnamenti di carattere economico-giuridico non sono attivati o
comunque non nel modo in cui essi esistono a MED e LIN, mentre gli
insegnamenti linguistici, eccezion fatta per il cinese, sono
abbastanza buoni e del livello giusto.
C’è spesso l’opportunità di fare da tutor a studenti inglesi che
studiano italiano, esperienza che poi viene riconosciuta come stage.
