Background
This course is part of an education initiative of twelve European universities, supported by the European
Commission (ICP-92-B- 1071/12), aiming at the implementation of a standard course for the EC.
The students are evaluated at the end of the courses and the Erasmus certificate is awarded to those who have
successfully completed the entire series of courses within a three year period. The Erasmus Program is now
incorporated in the SOCRATES program.
Course objectives
This course focuses on teaching of clinical applications of MR imaging of the heart and vascular system, with
CT correlation. Issues relevant to daily clinical practice will be discussed in plenary sessions. More extensive
individual teaching is provided by experts in the field using selected case material, displayed on workstations.
Participants are assumed to have a basic working knowledge of MRI. The course is accessible for 50 part
