PIEMONTE DOC CHARDONNAY
The 2006 Coppo Chardonnay 'Riserva
della Famiglia' offers enticing aromas
of ripe pear, vanilla, toasted oak,
smoke and flinty minerals which leap
from the glass. This is well balanced
and begins to gain character and
depth with extended air contact. The
finish is clean and mineral driven, but
gets cut short. This was aged 20
months in French oak barrels with
regular stirring of lees and will be at its
best over the next few years.
