Notre excursion guidé e comprend une visite à
La Valette-capitale de Malte, qui est un site du
patrimoine mondial de l’UNESCO et qui serala
capitale européenne de la culture en 2018.

De La Valette nous procédons à visiter
la cité médiéval e fortifiée de Mdina,
l’ancienne capitale de Malte. Différents
styles d’architecture abondent,

importance historique, reflétant l’histoire
mouvementée de Mdina. Unevue

bastions imposantes de Mdina.
En entrant dans la ville, nous sommes
immédiatement impressionnés parla beauté de
l’édifice du Parlement ultra-moderne -un joy au
architectural conçu par l’architecte génois de
renommée internationale, Renzo Piano.
ITINERARIO
Nous procédons à visiter la co-cathédrale Saint-Jean
pour admirer l’une des plus belles églises baroques
dans le monde dans toute sa splendeur. Lacocathédrale abrite l’un des plus beaux planchers de
marbre marquetés dans le monde. C’est à l’Oratoire
de cette église que l’on peut admirer deux des chefsd’œuvre du Caravage: la Décollation de saint JeanBaptiste, la plus grande et la seule peinture qui est
signé par le grand maître italien, et le Saint Jérôme,
qui a été commandé pour la chapelle de la Langue
d’Italie.

Unser Ausflug führt uns nach Valletta - Maltas
Hauptstadt, die ein UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe ist,
und die im Jahre 2018 Kulturhauptstadt Europas
sein wird.
An der Kreuzung des Mittelmeers gelegen, ist die
gesamte Stadt Valletta Zeugnis für die Größe
der Johanniterritter, die sie gegründet und
verschönert haben.
Beim Betreten der Stadt sind wir sofort
von der Schönheit des hochmodernen
Parlamentsgebäudes beeindruckt - ein
architektonisches Juwel, das von dem
international anerkannten Genueser Architekten
Renzo Piano entworfen wurde.
Danach besuchen wir die St. Johannes
Konkathedrale, um eine der schönsten
Barockkirchen in der Welt in ihrer ganzen Pracht
zu sehen. Die Konkathedrale verfügt über einen
mit Marmor eingelegten Fußboden, einzigartig
in der ganzen Welt. Es ist im Oratorium dieser
Kirche, dass man zwei von Caravaggios
Meisterwerken bewundern kann: die
Enthauptung Johannes des Täufers, das größte
und einzige Gemälde, das von dem großen
italienischen Meister unterzeichnet wurde und
der heilige Hieronymus, das für die Kapelle der
Langue von Italien in Auftrag gegeben wurde.

Nach dem Mittagessen genießen wir einen
herrlichen Blick auf den Grand Harbour von
dem oberen Barracca-Garten aus, um in vollem
Umfang die komplexen Befestigungen rund um
den Hafen zu bewundern, die Maltas Geschichte
geprägt haben.
Von Valletta fahren wir später nach Mdina,
Maltas ehemaliger Hauptstadt, für den Besuch
dieser befestigten mittelalterlichen Stadt.
Hier bewundern wir verschiedene Arten der
Architektur, von Siculo-normannischen Palästen
zu Barockbauten von großer historischer
Bedeutung, die Mdinas wechselvolle Geschichte
widerspiegeln. Einen atemberaubenden Blick
über einen Großteil von Malta kann man von
den imposanten Bastionen Mdinas genießen.

Situata strategicamente nel cuore del Mar
Mediterraneo, la citta’ di La Valletta e’ la
testimonianza tangibile della grandezza
e della storia ultracentenaria dei cavalieri
di San Giovanni, i quali la fondarono e
abbellirono.
Appena entrati in citta’, si e’ subito catturati
dalla maestosita’ del palazzo del Parlamento,
un gioello architettonico contemporaneo
progettato dall’illustre architetto italiano
Renzo Piano.
Procedendo per le vie della capitale maltese,
catturati da un fascino coinvolgente , il
tour prevede la visita della Co-Cattedrale
di San Giovanni, una della chiese Barocche
piu’ importanti al mondo ove, oltre a poter
ammirare un pavimento in pregiato e
antico marmo intarsiato con eccezionale
manufattura, si puo’ godere dello splendore
di due tra le piu’ gloriose opere del
Caravaggio:
La decollazione di San Giovanni Battista che
e’ il piu’ grande dipinto firmato dal famoso
artista Italiano e il San Gerolamo, un quadro
dipinto e commissionato dai cavalieri per la
Cappella Italiana interna alla cattedrale tra
le otto presenti di differenti paesi.
Tempo libero e quindi disponibile
per il pranzo (non incluso nel
prezzo). La Valletta offre una vasta
gamma di ristoranti tra cui scegliere.
Dopo la sosta ci si dirige ai giardini
dell’Upper Barracca, da cui si puo’
ammirare una vista mozzafiato del
Grande Porto e delle sue maestose
fortificazioni che hanno avuto un
ruolo importantissimo nella storia
maltese.
Da Valletta ci dirigiamo a visitare la
citta’ medievale di Mdina, vecchia
capitale di Malta.
Passeggiando per le vie della citta’,
si viene catturati dai differenti stili
architettonici dei palazzi che le
circondano. Dagli edifici siculonormanni passando per per opere
barocche fino ad arrivare ai bastioni
conquistati dal panorama fantastico
da cui si puo’ scorgere la gran parte
dell’Isola.

Our guided tour includes a visit to Valletta – Malta’s
Capital City which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site
and which will be European Capital of Culture in
2018.
which is signed by the great Italian master and the
St Jerome which was commissioned for the Chapel
of the Langue of Italy.
Free time is then available for lunch, which is not
included in the price of the excursion. (Valletta
offers a wide array of eateries to choose from).
Situated at the crossroads of the Mediterranean the
entire city of Valletta is testimony to the grandeur
of the Knights of St. John who founded and
embellished it.
After lunch we enjoy a stunning view of the Grand
Harbour from the Upper Barracca Gardens to fully
understand the intricate fortifications around the
harbour which shaped Malta’s history.
On entering the city we are immediately impressed
by the beauty of the ultra-modern Parliament
Building – an architectural jewel designed by the
internationally acclaimed Genoese architect, Renzo
Piano.
From Valletta we proceed to visit the fortified
medieval city of Mdina, Malta’s former capital
city. Different styles of architecture, from
Siculo-Norman Palaces to baroque buildings of
great historical importance, reflecting Mdina’s
chequered history, abound. A breathtaking view
of a large area of Malta can be enjoyed from
Mdina’s imposing bastions.
We proceed to visit St John’s Co-Cathedral to see one
of the most beautiful baroque churches in the world
in all its splendour. The Co-Cathedral houses one of
the most beautiful marble inlaid floors in the world.
It is in the Oratory of this church that one can admire
two of Caravaggio’s masterpieces: the Beheading
of St John the Baptist, the largest and only painting

После ланча Вы посетите Верхние
Сады Баракка с захватывающим видом
Великой гавани и сложной системы
рыцарских фортификаций вдоль
побережья, сформировавших всю
историю маленького острова.
Из Валлетты Вы проследуете в центр
острова, в город –крепость Мдину,
средневековую столицу Мальты.
Различные архитектурные стили от
Нормандских дворцов до барочных
строений огромной исторической
ценности отражают долгую и
сложную историю этого города.
А с высоких бастионов Мдины перед
вами откроется впечатляющий вид
