DESCRIZIONE
Conchiglia larga, con 7-8 giri convessi. Presenta
quattro grosse varici per giro con spine molto
lunghe e robuste. L'apertura è ovale e continua
anteriormente nel lungo canale sifonale. Rispetto
alla specie mediterranea Bolinus brandaris,
presenta un numero maggiore di spine.
COLORAZIONE
La colorazione di fondo è bianco crema con le
corde di colore bruno e gli interspazi tra le corde
di colore scuro.
