The User’s Manual contains wrong installation instructions for RAM and ROM modules. Please replace the following instructions to
the corresponding pages of the User’s Manual.

prions de les remplacer par les suivantes.

Pa1X comes equipped with 16MB of RAM already installed, which can be used for storing samples and Song editing. You can install an
additional 16MB of RAM in the form of a single 72-pin SIMM module (for a list of tested SIMMs, see www.korgpa.com). Please contact
your Korg dealer for more information.
Le Pa1X intègre une mémoire RAM de 16 Mo où vous sauvegardez vos échantillons et vos Morceaux modifiés. Vous pouvez installer une
mémoire RAM supplémentaire de 16Mo sous forme de carte SIMM à 72-pins (voir la liste des mémoires SIMM testées dans la page d’accueil

Das Pa1X ist mit einem bereits installierten RAM-Speicher von 16MB ausgestattet, der zum Speichern von Samples und zur Editierung
von Songs benutzt werden kann. Sie können jedoch einen zusätzlichen 16MB-RAM-Speicher in Form eines einzelnen 72-Pin-SIMMModuls installieren (eine Liste der getesteten SIMMs finden Sie unter www.korgpa.com). Für weitere Informationen wenden Sie sich

Il Pa1X è fornito di serie di un modulo RAM da 16MB già installato, utilizzabile per il campionamento di materiale audio e l’editing delle
Song. E’ tuttavia possibile espandere la capacità della memoria RAM installando un secondo modulo SIMM a 72-pin da 16 MB (per conoscere l’elenco dei moduli SIMM compatibili, consultate il sito internet www.korgpa.com). Per ulteriori dettagli al riguardo, contattate il
distributore Korg locale.

Before you begin, turn the instrument off, and disconnect the power cable.
Avant de commencer l’installation, mettez l’instrument hors tension et déconnectez le câble de la prise secteur.

Turn the instrument upside down, and remove the screws (a), to
open the cover (A) and gain access to the option compartment.
Note: Block any possible access to the inside of the instrument
during installation to prevent any items from falling inside. In
the event something does fall into the instrument, please immediately contact your nearest Service Center.
Tournez l’instrument avec les pieds en haut et enlevez les vis (a)
qui bloquent le capot (A) pour accéder au boîtier avec le port supplémentaire.

Note : Pendant l’installation, procédez de manière à empêcher l’accès à
l’interne de l’instrument afin d’éviter que des objets ne tombent à l’intérieur. Si
par malheur quelque chose tombe dans l’instrument, adressez-vous immédiatement au Service d’Assistance Agréé Korg le plus proche.
Drehen Sie das Instrument mit der Oberseite nach unten und
entfernen Sie die sieben Schrauben (a), um die Abdekkung (A)
zu öffnen und Zugang zum Optionsbereich zu erhalten.
Anmerkung: Verhindern Sie jeden möglichen Zugang zum
Instrument während der Installation, damit keine Gegenstände
ins Innere fallen können. Sollte dies dennoch geschehen, wenden Sie sich bitte an das nächste Korg-Kundendienstzentrum.
Capovolgete lo strumento, e rimuovete le sette viti (a) (otto viti nel
Pa1X con amplificazione) per consentire l’apertura della mascherina (A), e l’accesso al vano interno dedicato all’installazione dei
componenti opzionali.
Nota: Impedite ogni possibile accesso all’interno dello strumento,
per evitare che degli oggetti possano cadervi dentro. Nel caso questo dovesse accadere, rivolgetevi immediatamente al più vicino
Centro di Assistenza

As you face the option compartment opening, locate the two RAM slots. A 16MB SIMM module is already present in one of the
slots.
En regardant de face le boîtier ouvert, identifiez les deux fentes disponibles pour la RAM. Regardez : une carte SIMM de 16 Mo est déjà
installée dans l’une des fentes.
Wenn der Optionsbereich vor Ihnen liegt, suchen Sie die beiden RAM Slots auf. In einem der Slots befindet sich bereits ein 16MB
SIMM Modul.
Dopo aver aperto il vano, localizzate i due slot incaricati di accogliere i moduli RAM. Notate come il primo modulo SIMM da 16MB sia
già installato in uno degli slot.

Lightly push out on the two securing clamps (one on each end).
Déclenchew avec précaution les deux pattes de blocage (une à chaque extrémité).
Indem Sie die beiden Sicherheitsklammern (an jedem Ende eine
Klammer) aufdrükken.
Allargate le due alette (contrassegnate dalle frecce nell’immagine
seguente) che tengono in posizione il modulo SIMM.

5.
Remove the existing module (B), by gently rotating it forward as
shown in the diagram.
Enlevez la carte présente (B). Pivotez-la légèrement en avant,
comme illustré ci-contre.
Entfernen Sie das vorhandene Modul (B), anschließend das
Modul vorsichtig nach vorn drehen, wie in der Abbildung
gezeigt wird.
Rimuovete il modulo SIMM già installato (B), ruotandolo in
avanti (vedi senso della freccia nell’illustrazione).

Insert the new SIMM module (C) into the slot that was originally empty, as shown in the diagram. Line up the lower side of
the module with the slot base, then rotate the module up, and
delicately push until it is firmly seated in place. Be sure the module is correctly inserted. If not, extract it and repeat the operation.

Insérez la nouvelle carte SIMM (C) dans la fente qui était vide à
l’origine, comme illustré ci-contre. Alignez la partie inférieure de la
carte à la base de la fente, ensuite pivotez la carte vers le haut et,
délicatement, poussez-la pour qu’elle s’insère fermement dans son
emplacement. Vérifiez que la carte est correctement installée, sinon
enlevez-la et recommencez l’opération.
Stecken Sie das neue SIMM Modul (C) in den zuvor leeren
Schlitz, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt wird. Richten Sie die untere
Seite des Moduls auf die Unterseite des Schlitzes aus, drehen Sie
anschließend das Modul nach oben und schieben Sie es vorsichtig bis zum Einrasten ein. Versichern Sie sich, dass das Modul richtig eingesteckt ist. Wiederholen Sie ggf. den Vorgang.
Inserite il nuovo modulo SIMM (C) nello slot originariamente vuoto (figura a lato). Allineate la parte inferiore del modulo con la base
dello slot, dopodichè ruotatelo in verticale e spingetelo delicatamente verso il basso fino ad assicurarlo saldamente in sede. Accertatevi
che il modulo sia inserito correttamente. In caso contrario, ripetete la procedura.
7.
Now re-insert the SIMM module (B) that you removed in step
5, using the same method as used with the new module (C).
Maintenant, insérez de nouveau la carte SIMM (B) que vous aviez
enlevée au poste 5 en procédant comme expliqué pour la nouvelle
carte (C).
Stecken Sie nun das in Schritt 5 zuvor entfernte SIMM Modul
(B) wieder ein und befolgen Sie hierzu die für das neue Modul
(C) beschriebenen Anweisungen.

Reinserite il modulo SIMM (B) rimosso al punto 5 della procedura, utilizzando lo stesso metodo adottato per il nuovo modulo
(C).
8.
Close and secure the compartment cover by reversing the operations seen on step 1.
Fermez et bloquez le capot du boîtier en procédant dans le sens contraire des opérations détaillées au poste 2.
Schließen Sie die Abdeckung des Optionsbereichs, indem Sie die in Schritt 2 beschriebenen Anweisungen in umgekehrter Reihenfolge ausführen.
Richiudete la mascherina e serrate nuovamente le viti per assicurare la perfetta chiusura del vano, invertendo di fatto le operazioni
descritte al punto 2 della procedura.

Before you begin, turn the instrument off, and disconnect the power cable.

Turn the instrument upside down, and remove the screws (a), to
open the cover (A) and gain access to the option compartment.
Note: Block any possible access to the inside of the instrument
during installation to prevent any items from falling inside. In
the event something does fall into the instrument, please immediately contact your nearest Service Center.

3.
As you face the option compartment opening, locate the two
ROM slots.
En regardant de face le boîtier ouvert, identifiez les deux fentes disponibles pour la ROM.
Wenn der Optionsbereich vor Ihnen liegt, suchen Sie die beiden
ROM Slots auf.
Una volta aperto il vano, localizzate i due slot incaricati di accogliere le schede ROM.

Insert the first ROM expansion module (B) – the only one, if it
is the only one you purchased – in the slot farther from you, as
shown in the diagram. Line up the lower side of the module
with the slot base, then rotate the module up, and delicately
push until it is firmly seated in place. Be sure the module is correctly inserted. If not, extract it and repeat the operation.

Note: You could also install the module in the other slot, but this
way installing a second module later will be easier.
Insérez la première carte d’expansion ROM (B) – ou la seule, si
vous n’en avez acheté qu’une – dans la fente la plus éloignée de
vous, comme illustré ci-contre. Alignez la partie inférieure de la
carte à la base de la fente, ensuite pivotez la carte vers le haut et,
délicatement, poussez-la pour qu’elle s’insère fermement dans son
emplacement. Vérifiez que la carte est correctement installée, sinon
enlevez-la et recommencez l’opération.
Note : Vous pouvez également monter la carte dans l’autre fente,
toutefois, lorsque vous en installerez une deuxième, son installation sera moins aisée.
Stecken Sie das erste ROM Erweiterungsmodul (B) – bzw. das einzige, falls Sie nur ein Modul gekauft haben – in den weiter von
sich entfernten Schlitz ein, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt wird. Richten Sie die Unterseite des Moduls auf die Unterseite des Schlitzes aus, drehen Sie anschließend das Modul nach oben und schieben Sie es vorsichtig bis zum Einrasten ein. Vergewissern Sie sich,
dass das Modul richtig eingesteckt ist. Wiederholen Sie ggf. den Vorgang.
Anmerkung: Sie können das Modul auch in den anderen freien Schlitz einstecken, aber mit dem beschriebenen Verfahren wird die
Installation eines zweiten Moduls einfacher.
Inserite la prima scheda di espansione ROM (B) – o l’unica che avete acquistato – nello slot più lontano da voi, come indicato nella
figura a lato. Allineate la parte inferiore della scheda con la base dello slot, dopodichè ruotatela in verticale e spingetela delicatamente
verso il basso fino ad assicurarla saldamente in sede. Accertatevi che la scheda sia inserita correttamente. In caso contrario, ripetete la
procedura.
Nota: Nulla vieta di inserire la scheda nell’altro slot, ma seguendo la procedura consigliata sarà in seguito più facile inserire anche la
seconda scheda d’espansione.

5.
If you purchased a second ROM sound module (C), install it by
following the same procedure seen for the first module (B).
Si vous avez acheté deux cartes de sons ROM (C), installez la
deuxième en procédant aux mêmes opérations de la première carte
(B).
Wenn Sie ein zweites ROM Klangmodul (C) gekauft haben,
installieren Sie es auf dieselbe Weise wie das erste Modul (B).
Nel caso abbiate acquistato anche la seconda scheda di espansione
ROM (C), installate la stessa ripetendo la procedura descritta per il
primo modulo (B).
6.
Close and secure the compartment cover by reversing the operations seen on step 2.
Fermez et bloquez le capot du boîtier en procédant dans le sens
contraire des opérations détaillées au poste 2.
Schließen Sie den Deckel des Faches, indem Sie die in Punkt 2 beschriebenen Arbeitsschritte in umgekehrter Reihenfolge ausführen.
