OLTRE LO SCI
Per gli appassionati di freeride e scialpinismo Arabba è il punto di partenza ideale
per effettuare fantastiche discese in neve fresca e scoprire itinerari, tra Sella e
Marmolada, tra i più interessanti e famosi delle Dolomiti. Le escursioni con le
“ciaspe” sono un altro modo per vivere la montagna nel periodo invernale e per
scoprire la bellezza di paesaggi incontaminati.
Per chi invece desidera una vacanza all’insegna dell’assoluto relax, sulle terrazze
degli hotel e nei rifugi in quota potete rilassarvi coccolati dal sole o riacquistare
energia nei Beauty e Wellness Centres. Ad Arabba vi attendono anche una pista
di pattinaggio illuminata, un circuito per motoslitta, eventi e aprés ski per divertirsi
sino a notte fonda.
PER I BAMIBINI
Arabba propone un vero e proprio Asilo Neve, lo Ski Kinder Garten, dove i bambini
dai due anni in poi si possono divertire assistiti da personale altamente qualificato
in un armonico equilibrio tra intrattenimento, giochi e animazione; il tutto anche
grazie ad una sala accogliente piena di giochi e svaghi, adiacente alla scuola di
sci, nel pieno centro del paese e nelle immediate vicinanze delle piste.
Gli animatori seguono i bimbi per l’intera giornata: oltre alle attività all’interno del
KinderGarten, li accompagnano alle lezioni di sci, li seguono durante il pranzo,
giocano con loro sino all’arrivo dei genitori.
La scuola sci e snowboard di Arabba organizza corsi collettivi e programmi di
insegnamento specifici in base al livello tecnico ed all’età per tutti i bambini dai
4 ai 12 anni. Nei park attrezzati i più piccoli hanno a disposizione attrezzature
all’avanguardia per avvicinarsi al mondo della neve e degli sport invernali in
assoluta sicurezza e totale divertimento.
GIRO SCIISTICO GRANDE GUERRA
Il Giro Sciistico della Grande Guerra è un interessante viaggio nel ricordo che
ripercorre i luoghi teatro della Prima Guerra Mondiale. Ovunque gli occhi esperti della
guida potranno indicare reperti bellici, camminamenti nella roccia, gallerie, fortini che
i soldati italiani e austriaci costruirono per far fronte al nemico e alle intemperie.

For free-riding and ski mountaineering fans, Arabba is an ideal departure point for
fantastic descents on freshly-fallen snow and for discovering the routes between
the Sella and the Marmolada, among the best-known and most interesting in the
Dolomites. A trip out on “ciaspe” snow-shoes is another enjoyable way to get to know
the mountains in winter and enjoy the beauty of a striking, unspoilt landscape.
For those who prefer just to relax, you can bask in the winter sunshine on the balconies
of the hotels or outside the mountain refuges, or recharge your batteries in one of the
local Beauty and Wellness Centres. Arabba also boasts a floodlit skating rink and a
motorised sledge track, as well as plenty of events and après ski activities to keep
you entertained well into the night.
FOR KIDS
In Arabba’s superb Ski Kindergarten children from two years upwards can have
plenty of fun in the expert company of highly-trained staff. Younger visitors will find
a wealth of entertainment, games and leisure activities to enjoy in the welcoming,
spacious indoor play area next to the ski school, right in the centre of the town and
close to the slopes.

Places to visit
The staff look after the children all day: in addition to the activities organised in the Kindergarten
itself, they take them to ski lessons, look after them during lunchtime and play with them until their
parents come back to pick them up.
The ski and snowboard school in Arabba also organises group courses and specific training courses
according to level and age for children from 4 to 12. In the specially-equipped snow park, children
will find avant-garde equipment that will help them approach the snow and the world of winter sports
in complete safety and have great fun.
GREAT WAR SKI TOUR
The Great War Ski Tour is a fascinating journey back in time which runs through the places which were
once the scene of First World War battles. Along the way, expert guides can point out traces of the
conflict, such as communication trenches in the rock, galleries and forts built by Italian and Austrian
soldiers to defend themselves both from enemy troops and from the harsh weather conditions.
Die Ortschaft Arabba liegt an den Hängen des Sellamassivs und am Fuß der Pässe Pordoi
und Campolongo. Sie befindet sich inmitten eines der schönsten und spektakulärsten Schigebiete

Arabba schlummert auf 1.602 m Seehöhe im Herzen der Dolomiten und gilt als eines der

Direkt vom Ort aus gelangt man zu modernen Liftanlagen und auf Pisten, die zu den bekanntesten und
beliebtesten in den Dolomiten zählen. Es gibt hier die berühmten Schihänge auf dem Portavescovo;
Arabba ist aber auch ein idealer Startpunkt, wenn man – mit den Schiern an den Füßen – auf die
Marmolada will (mit ihren 3.269 m der höchste Dolomitengipfel), oder in die Täler um das Sellamassiv:

Da Arabba so zentral liegt, gelangt man von hier aus in eines der renommiertesten Schigebiete der

NICHT NUR SCHILAUF
Für Freerider und Schitourenläufer ist Arabba ein idealer Startpunkt, wenn sie fantastische
Neuschneefahrten erleben und einige der aufregendsten und berühmtesten Routen in den Dolomiten
zwischen Sella und Marmolada entdecken wollen.
Wanderungen mit den Schneeschuhen sind eine weitere Alternative, bei der man die winterliche
Bergwelt und die unberührte Landschaft in vollen Zügen genießen kann.
Wer im Urlaub lieber so richtig ausspannt, findet auf den Terrassen der Hotels und Berghütten genau
das richtige; dort kann man sich in der Sonne ausruhen oder in den Beauty- und Wellnesscentres
Energie tanken. In Arabba gibt es außerdem einen Eislaufplatz, eine Motorschlittenpiste, zahlreiche
Events und ein reiches Après Ski – Angebot, um sich bis spät in die Nacht hinein zu amüsieren.
FÜR KINDER
Arabba hat einen Schikindergarten, wo Kinder ab 2 von qualifiziertem Personal betreut werden und
wo ihnen ein ausgewogenes Programm mit Spielen, Animation und Unterhaltung geboten wird. Dazu
steht auch gleich neben der Schischule, das heißt direkt im Ort und ganz in der Nähe der Pisten, ein
einladender und lustiger Spielsaal mit vielen Spielen zur Verfügung.
Die Animateure betreuen die Kinder den ganzen Tag über: neben den Aktivitäten im Kindergarten
begleiten sie die Kinder zu den Schikursen, betreuen sie beim Mittagessen und spielen mit ihnen,
bis sie die Eltern abholen.
Die Schi- und Snowboardschule in Arabba organisiert Gruppenkurse und spezifische Lektionen
je nach Können und Alter für Kinder zwischen 4 und 12. In den Schiparks gibt es ganz moderne
Einrichtungen, damit sich die Kinder in aller Sicherheit und auf lustige und unterhaltsame Weise der
Welt des Wintersports nähern können.
ALPINSCHITOUR DES ERSTEN WELTKRIEGS
Die Alpinschitour des Ersten Weltkrieges ist eine hochinteressante Reise in die Vergangenheit, auf
der man zu Schauplätzen des Dolomitenkrieges gelangt. Ihr Bergführer wird Ihnen überall die Reste
von Felslaufgräben, Stollen und Forts zeigen, und von anderen Kriegswerken, die vor etwa einem
Jahrhundert von den österreichischungarischen und italienischen Soldaten geschaffen wurden.

Circondata dalle più belle cime delle Dolomiti, in uno scenario di rara
bellezza, si estende la valle di Livinallongo (in lingua ladina: Fodom) con il suo
centro più importante, Arabba: 1.612 m di altitudine, ai piedi dell’imponente
massiccio del Sella. I Passi Pordoi e Campolongo separano la valle da Canazei
e Corvara mentre il passo Falzarego la divide da Cortina d’Ampezzo.
PER CAMMINARE
o “balote” ovvero i canederli allo speck, agli spinaci o al formaggio in brodo,
con l’insalata o con lo spezzatino, la “panicia” o “menèstra da orz” con stinco
di maiale affumicato. Un’altra leccornia sono i dolci, preparati un tempo per i
giorni di festa: i “canifli”, frittelle da accompagnare con il vin brulè, e i “crafons”,
frittelle di farina di frumento e di segala con semi di cumino.
Infine le grappe aromatizzate al cumino, al pino mugo, al ginepro, ai mirtilli e
alle fragoline di bosco per riscaldarsi un po’ dopo una lunga giornata sugli sci.
Osservare gli animali o addentrarsi nel bosco per ascoltarne i suoni …questa è
la magia della natura nelle Dolomiti.
La corona di montagne che circonda Arabba offre una miriade di escursioni e
passeggiate adatte a tutti, dalle più semplici alle più impegnative: come il famoso
Viel del Pan, i sentieri in quota sull’altopiano del Sella o le storiche passeggiate
sul Col di Lana. Tutti offrono meravigliosi punti panoramici dove scorgere le cime
più alte e più suggestive delle Dolomiti, a un passo dalle nuvole.
Encircled by the most beautiful peaks in the Dolomites, in a landscape of rare
beauty, lies the valley of Livinallongo (or in the Ladin language Fodom), with its main
town, Arabba, situated at an altitude of 1612 m, at the foot of the striking Sella

Arabba è il posto giusto per chi ama la vacanza in bicicletta o in moto.
Gli appassionati della mountain bike qui troveranno percorsi ideali, mentre gli amanti
della bicicletta da strada potranno confrontarsi con alcune delle mitiche salite che
hanno fatto la storia del ciclismo.
Tra gli eventi ciclistici di maggior rilievo spiccano la Gran Fondo Dolomiti Stars , la
Cronoscalata del Passo Pordoi, il Sellaronda Bike Day, la Maratona dles Dolomites.
Data la sua posizione strategica a ridosso dei passi Pordoi e Campolongo ogni
anno Arabba diventa meta di tour e raid di bikers e motociclisti provenienti da
tutta Europa. Inoltre, grazie una ricca offerta alberghiera e all’ottima disponibilità
ricettiva del paese, ogni anno Arabba è eletta dai bikers tra i luoghi ideali per
eventi e raduni motoristici.
SALIAMO IN QUOTA
Per chi ama camminare e predilige il lato sportivo della montagna estiva, Arabba

Potete testare la vostra resistenza con un lungo trekking in quota magari fino ai
3.152 m del Piz Boè o percorrere le creste del Padon lungo la via Ferrata delle

Per i più allenati e temerari ecco alcune proposte di sfida alla forza di gravità:
salendo le vie di arrampicata nella Falesia del Castello di Andraz; ripercorrendo
la storia dell’alpinismo in arrampicata sulle grandi pareti di roccia dolomitica; o
con piccozza e ramponi sul ghiacciaio della Marmolada. Non c’è che l’imbarazzo
della scelta per vivere la vostra avventura.
STORIA, TRADIZIONE E CULTURA
Arabba è uno dei maggiori centri di lingua ladina nelle Dolomiti del Veneto. La
valle di Fodóm (Livinallongo) ed i suoi abitanti, i Fodómi, parlano il ladino, una
vera e propria lingua sviluppatasi nelle vallate dolomitiche a seguito delle invasioni
romane, dalla fusione del linguaggio retico con il latino “ volgare” parlato, per
l’appunto, dai conquistatori della Valle. Da queste parti è forte il legame con la
lingua ladina, un tempo la più diffusa nelle regioni alpine ed oggi ancora presente
nella zona centrale delle Dolomiti, in ciascuna valle con precise peculiarità;
interessante a questo proposito la visita al Museo di Storia Usi e Costumi della
Gente Ladina di Livinallongo. Moltissime le feste, le occasioni culturali e i luoghi
da visitare; il tutto immersi nel verde delle montagne che circondano il paese.
Il castello di Andraz, fortificazione che si staglia sui prati di Castello, il Vecchio
Mulino, dove per secoli la gente di Arabba macinava segale e orzo, il Col di
Lana, teatro di aspre lotte durante la prima guerra mondiale; sono solo alcuni
dei luoghi più belli ed interessanti da visitare nella zona di Arabba, luoghi che
raccontano scampoli preziosi della vita tra queste montagne.
GASTRONOMIA
Arabba è anche ottima gastronomia che si esprime nella ricchezza dei prodotti
tipici, quali speck e formaggi di malga, e nei gustosissimi piatti locali come i
tipici “casonzièi” o “casunciei”: ravioli a forma di mezzaluna ripieni di zucca o
spinaci e conditi con ricotta affumicata e burro fuso; o le saporite erbe selvatiche
come i “grìsoi” o “gaméita”. Altre specialità della Valle Fodom sono le “tircle”,
dischi di pasta con ripieno di crauti o spinaci, fritti nell’olio bollente; le “bale”

this is the magic of the Dolomites.
The crown of mountains that encircles Arabba offers a whole array of walking trips,
with something to suit everyone, from the gentlest of strolls to more challenging
hikes, such as the famous Viel del Pan, the mountain paths on the Sella plateau,
or the historical walks on Col di Lana. All of these routes offer marvellous lookout
points where you can enjoy wonderful views of the highest, most striking peaks of
the Dolomites, just a few steps away from the clouds.
ARABBA ON WHEELS
Arabba is also the ideal holiday destination for cyclists and bikers.
Mountain bike fans will find a series of superb routes to enjoy, while cyclists will
have the chance to measure up against some of the legendary climbs that have
made cycling history.
Among the most important competitive cycling events held in the area are the Gran
Fondo Dolomiti Stars, the Pordoi Pass Uphill Time Trial, the Sellaronda Bike Day,
and the Maratona dles Dolomites.
As a result of its strategic position close to the Pordoi and Campolongo Passes,
each year Arabba plays host to biker tours and raids, with bikers arriving from
all over Europe. Thanks to the excellent range of hotels and accommodation on
offer, Arabba is a firm favourite every summer with motorcyclists for their events
and gatherings.
UP IN THE MOUNTAINS
For those who enjoy hiking, and have a sporty approach to the mountains in summer,
Arabba offers a host of opportunities to get to know the Dolomites.
You might like to put your stamina to the test with a lengthy trekking trip at altitude,
right up to the 3152m of the Piz Boè, or tackle the Ferrata delle Trincee along the
crests of the Padon, one of the numerous equipped hiking routes for which the
Dolomites are famous.
For the more daring and experienced, there are a number of options open to you
that almost defy gravity, such as the climbing routes of the Falesia del Castello di
Andrai cliff; a trip through the history of mountaineering by climbing up the huge
dolomite rock faces; or venturing up the Marmolada glacier armed with ice-axe and
crampons. The most adventurous among you really will be spoilt for choice.
HISTORY, TRADITIONS AND CULTURE
Arabba is one of the areas in the Dolomites in which the Ladin language is most
widely spoken. The valley of Fodóm (Livinallongo) and its inhabitants, the Fodómi,
speak this ancient language, which developed in the valleys of the Dolomites after
the Roman invasions, when the local Rhaetian language merged with the“vulgar”
Latin spoken by the invaders. The people of this area remain deeply attached to
the Ladin tongue, which was once the most commonly-used language in the alpine
areas and is still spoken today in the central part of the Dolomites, with variants from
one valley to the next; visitors interested in this aspect of the area might like to take
a walk around the Ladin Museum of History, Traditions and Culture in Livinallongo.
There are numerous places worth visiting in the area, as well as plenty of cultural
events and festivals to enjoy in the green mountain areas that surround Arabba.
Andraz Castle, the silhouette of which stands out against the Castello fields; the
Old Mill, in which the local people milled rye and barley for centuries; Col di Lana,
the scene of bitter battles during the Great War: these are just some of the most
attractive and interesting places to visit in the Arabba area, where you can learn
about some fascinating aspects of life in these mountains.

FOOD AND DRINK
Arabba ist eines der wichtigsten Zentren der ladinischen Sprachminderheit in
den venetischen Dolomiten. Das Tal von Fodóm ( Buchenstein auf deutsch,
Livinallongo auf italienisch) und seine Einwohner, die Fodómi, sprechen Ladinisch,
eine Sprache, die sich nach den römischen Invasionen in den Dolomitentälern
entwickelte. Sie entstand aus der Fusion der rätischen Sprache und des
“vulgären” Lateins, das von den römischen Eroberern gesprochen wurde. In
dieser Region spürt man sehr deutlich die Bindung zur ladinischen Kultur. Die
ladinische Sprache war einst die meistgesprochene im Alpenraum, und noch
heute hört man sie im Zentralraum der Dolomiten; auch wenn sie von Tal zu Tal
immer wieder ein bisschen anders klingt. In diesem Zusammenhang empfehlen
wir Ihnen einen Besuch im Ladinischen Brauchtumsmuseum in Livinallongo.
Es gibt unzählige Feste, Kulturveranstaltungen und Plätze, die man sehen
sollte. Und sie alle in der wunderschönen grünen Berglandschaft von Arabba.
Das Schloss Buchenstein (Castello di Andraz), ein antiker Befestigungsbau auf den
Wiesen von Castello, die Alte Mühle (Vecchio Mulino), wo die Leute aus Arabba
über Jahrhunderte hinweg Roggen und Gerste mahlten, der Col di Lana, auf dem
während des Ersten Weltkriegs fürchterliche Kämpfe stattfanden – das sind nur
einige der interessantesten und schönsten Plätze im Gebiet um Arabba, Plätze,
die wertvolle Einblicke in die Geschichte dieser Berge geben.
Arabba is also a superb place to eat out; the area boasts a wealth of typical
produce, including speck and mountain dairy cheeses, as well as delicious local
dishes such as the typical “casonzièi” or ”casunciei”, half-moon shaped ravioli filled
with pumpkin or spinach and served with smoked ricotta or melted butter, or the
tasty wild herbs such as “grìsoi” or “gaméita”. Other specialities of the Fodom valley
include the “tircle”, discs of pasta filled with sauerkraut or spinach and fried in boiling
oil; the “bale” o “balote”, a kind of bread dumplings with speck, spinach or cheese
served in a clear soup, with a salad or with stew; the “panicia” or “menèstra da
orz” with smoked pork shin. Equally mouth-watering are the sweets, which were
once prepared only on feast days; just two examples are “canifli”, sweet fritters
to be enjoyed with mulled wine, and “crafons”, fritters made with wheat and rye
flour and cumin seeds.
And lastly there are the superb range of grappas, flavoured with cumin, mugo pine,
juniper, blueberries and wild strawberries, ideal for warming you up after a long,
hard day on the slopes.
Eingerahmt von majestätischen Dolomitengipfeln und in einer einmalig schönen
Landschaft breitet sich das Buchensteintal (auf italienisch: Valle di Livinallongo und
auf ladinisch: Fodom) aus. Am Fuß des imposanten Sellamassivs liegt die größte
Ortschaft des Tals: Arabba (1.612 m). Über die Passhöhen Pordoi und Campolongo

Arabba ist auch Synonym für eine ausgezeichnete Küche, die sich mit deliziösen
Produkten wie Speck und Almkäse und hervorragenden Gerichten wie “Casonzièi”
oder “Casunciei” auszeichnet: das sind halbmondförmige Ravioli mit Kürbis- oder
Spinatfüllung und darüber geräucherte Ricotta und zerlassene Butter; oder würzige
Wildkräuter wie die “Grìsoi” oder “Gaméita”. Andere Spezialitäten der Region sind
die “Tircle”, im Öl gebackene Nudeltaschen mit Kraut- oder Spinatfüllung; die “Bale”
oder “Balote”, Speck-, Spinat- oder Käseknödel, die man in klarer Bouillon zu Salat
oder Ragout verspeist; die “Panicia” oder “Menèstra da orz” mit geräucherter
Schweinsstelze. Unwiderstehlich sind auch die Süßspeisen, die früher an Festtagen
zubereitet wurden: die “Canifli”, Pfannkuchen, die zu einem Gläschen Glühwein

5. i prezzi che figurano nelle righe contrassegnate con

6. il prezzo massimo della prima colazione.
I segni convenzionali dell’attrezzatura e dei servizi di cui
dispongono gli esercizi sono illustrati nella legenda. In presenza
del simbolo “ACCESSIBILE CON ACCOMPAGNATORE” è consigliabile
rivolgersi telefonicamente all’albergatore per le proprie necessità
specifiche.
I prezzi espressi in euro, si intendono “tutto compreso” (I.V.A,
riscaldamento e diritto fisso per il servizio). Le tariffe esposte nel
presente Annuario, sono quelle denunciate dagli albergatori al 1°
ottobre 2008 e sono passibili di variazioni dal 1° giugno 2009. Agli
ospiti, comunque, non potranno essere applicate tariffe difformi da
quelle risultanti dalla tabella prezzi che l’albergatore ha l’obbligo
di tenere esposta nel locale di ricevimento.
Il Marchio di qualità delle imprese alberghiere è una associazione
volontaria di esercizi che fornisce ai clienti, attraverso una
segnaletica appropriata, una valutazione obiettiva del livello di
servizio offerto.

Halbpension, die bei einem Aufenthalt von nicht weniger als drei
Tagen berechnet werden und die keine Getränke beinhalten;
5. die Preise, die in den mit dem Symbol
gekennzeichneten
Zeilen aufgeführt sind und die sich auf Zimmer mit Bad oder
Dusche/WC beziehen;
6. der max. berechnete Frühstückspreis.
Die herkömmlichen Symbole für die seitens der Hotelbetriebe gebotenen
Ausstattung und Serviceleistungen werden in der Legende illustriert.
Wird das Symbol „MIT BEGLEITUNG ZUGÄNGLICH“ angegeben, wird
empfohlen, sich telefonisch mit dem Hotelführer in Verbindung zu
setzen, um so die persönlichen Anförderungen abklären zu können.
Die Preise sind in Euro angegeben und verstehen sich als “alles

REKLAMATIONEN
