BIOGRAFIA
Brigita Huemer Limentani è nata in Austria l’8 dicembre 1972.
Cresciuta con genitori austro-croati, ha maturato l’interesse per la
fotografia e le belle arti. Le sue prime mostre a Linz, in Austria, nel
1991 (Design Center) e nel 1992 (Hypobank City).
Dopo aver terminato gli studi in Fashion Design (1988-1993), si
trasferisce a Milano dove lavora come modella a livello internazionale.
Questo lavoro le offre l’opportunità di viaggiare, di perfezionarsi come
artista e di trasferirsi nel 1996 a New York, dove ha vissuto per quasi
dieci anni. Nel 1999 inizia una collaborazione per l’agenzia fotografica
Walter Schupfer in qualità di assistente e qualche tempo dopo come
manager di studio per il fotografo Todd Eberle. Ispirata dal suo lavoro
decide di tornare a scuola per approfondire la tecnica del disegno
presso la Art Students League in New York. Nel 2005 si laurea in Belle
Arti presso la School Of Visual Arts, perfezionandosi in seguito anche
presso il Centro Internazionale di Fotografia. Vive e lavora a Roma.
