allestiti come se nulla fosse accaduto. L’edizione di questo
show internazionale ECAHO di classe A 2010 ha ospitato
oltre che un pubblico numeroso, ben 150 cavalli. In questo
momento dove la crisi europea si fà sentire in tutti i settori,
c’è stato il più alto numero di presenze di cavalli mai avuto,
sia a Menton che in qualsiasi altro show. Per non parlare
della qualità dei cavalli, che ha raggiunto, a mio parere, un
livello al top del mercato. Devo dire che finalmente a questo show abbiamo ritrovato il giusto spirito e la volontà di
portare cavalli per il gusto di vederli sfilare in uno dei ring
più amati ed apprezzati del mondo. Questo è l’amore per
il cavallo Arabo, quando si dimentica per un momento la
gara, e non si fanno calcoli strani in base agli avversari che
si potrebbero incontrare in una piazza così.
Esserci è già una vittoria in sé, che si vinca o no!
La realizzazione di tutto ciò la dobbiamo alla grande esperienza organizzativa della Sig.ra Christianne e di suo marito Sig. J Pierre Chazel oltre che a Dominik Briot, in qualità
di vice direttrice e Dominique Quet nella veste di segretaria
dello show. Un grande show necessita di una grande giuria,
a svolgere questo compito sono stati invitati: dall’Italia il
Dott. Gianmarco Aragno, dalla Gran Bretagna la Sig.ra
Joanne Lowe, dalla Rep. Ceca il Sig. Jaroslav Lacina, dal
Marocco il Dott. Mohamed Machmoum, la Sig.ra Lenita
Perroy dal Brasile ed infine il Sig. Richard Philstrom dalla Francia. Il Sig. Philip Jenkins in qualità di ring master
ha orchestrato con la sua “bombetta” i cavalli nel ring con
la classe Inglese che lo contraddistingue. Ottimo anche il
lavoro dei DC: Sig.ra Teresa De Borbon dalla Spagna e il
Sig. Daniel Souppat dalla Francia.
Come vuole la tradizione dello show, sabato pomeriggio
alle 16.30 in punto cominciamo tutti il nostro lavoro e al
suono delle bellissime musiche di Hassan Valsan, entrano
i cavalli della prima categoria. Essendo 23 le puledre di 1
anno iscritte, viene divisa in A e B. Prima classificata della
classe A è “AJ RAHED” (Wh Justice X Ruminar Rosalita)

happened. The 2010 edition of this international class
“A” ECAHO show was attended by a large number of
spectators and a staggering 150 horses. At this moment
in time, when the European crisis can be felt in every
sector, this was the highest number of participants ever

the quality of the horses, which, in my view, has reached
the highest levels of the market. Finally, at this show
we found the right spirit and the willingness to have
the horses compete for the pleasure of seeing them parade
in one of the most beloved and appreciated rings in the
world. This is what the love for the purebred Arabian
horse is all about, when you can forget about the competition for one moment and not make any calculations
depending on who you might have to face in such an
important competition.
Being here is already a victory, whether you win or
not!
The creation of all this is down to the great experience
of the organizers: Mrs. Christianne and her husband
Mr. J Pierre Chazel, Dominik Briot, vice director, and
Dominique Quet, show secretary. A great show needs a
great team of judges, and this task was entrusted to Dr.
Gianmarco Aragno (Italy), Mrs. Joanne Lowe (Great
Britain), Mr. Jaroslav Lacina (Czech Republic), Dr.
Mohamed Machmoum (Morocco), Mrs. Lenita Perroy (Brazil) and Mr. Richard Philstrom (France). Mr.
Philip Jenkins, the ring master with his bowler hat,
directed the horses onto the ring with the English flair
that he is well known for. Also the DC did a great job,
consisting of Mrs. Teresa De Borbon (Spain) and Mr.
Daniel Souppat (France).
As it is customary, the event started at 4.30pm sharp,
accompanied by the wonderful music played by Hassan
Valsan, when the horses of the first category entered the

head presented again by the Al Mohamedia Stud. The

categoria fattrici di 4 anni. Si consolida questo piazzamento
con il titolo di miglior testa, questa volta offerto da Dubai
Arabian Horse Stud. Solo seconda la bella “MARAYSIA”
(Marwan Al Shaqab X Aysia) di HRH Prince Khalid Bin
Sultan Al Saud, al terzo posto si candida “OMNIET AL
AYUN” (Laheeb X W Warda) proprietà di Kilany Amjad.
Per la gioia dei nostri occhi, ecco un’altra categoria, quella
dei 7/8 anni, con fattrici dai nomi altisonanti: “ATHENA”
(Ashkal Al Rayyan X Gonchar) di HRH Prince Khalid
Bin Sultan Al Saud si laurea prima. Dubai Arabian Horse
Stud con “LADY VERONIKA” (Versace X Nisrs Natevka), miglior testa e seconda e “COL CORA” (Wagner

went to “KHANSA AL SHAQAB” (Marwan Al Shaqab X EAMT Marihuana) owned by Al Shaqab. In the
category of 3-year-old fillies, the top place went to “FT
SHAELLA” (Shael Dream Desert X Soul Pretty TGS)
owned by the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud. The runnerup, but winner of the prize for best head presented by
the Al Mohamedia Stud was “FM GLORIAA” (Wh Justice X Psity of Angels) owned by Swaenepoel James &
Christel. Third in this category was “AV DOHASSAI”
(Massai Ibn Marenga X Av Dolimha) of the Sanchi
brothers from the Arabia Stud Valley. Everyone was looking forward to seeing “BESS FA’IZAH” (Wh Justice
X Sharon El Kendal) enter the ring. She obtained the
top place in the category of mares aged 4, to the joy of
her owner HH Sh. Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi.
Her top place was further consolidated through the victory of the prize for best head, this time presented by the
Dubai Arabian Horse Stud. The lovely “MARAYSIA”
(Marwan Al Shaqab X Aysia) owned by HRH Prince
Khalid Bin Sultan Al Saud was only second, and the
third place was awarded to “OMNIET AL AYUN ”
(Laheeb X W Warda) owned by Kilany Amjad. For the
pleasure of our eyes, here was another category, that of
mares aged 7/8 with high-sounding names: “ATHENA” (Ashkal Al Rayyan X Gonchar) owned by HRH
Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Al Saud was the winner. The
Dubai Arabian Horse Stud obtained excellent results in
this category, with “LADY VERONIKA” (Versace X
Nisrs Natevka) winning the prize for best head and the
second place, and “COL CORA” (Wagner X Catika)
finishing in third place. The last female category, mares aged 9 and over, was won by “AL ALIHA” (DWD
Tabasco X Gahari) owned by Michael & Gerhard Huber of Al Hambra Arabians, winning also the prize for
best head, presented by the Dubai Arabian Horse Stud.

Judgement X Madeira). “DONNA DIVA” (Ekstern X La
Diva) di Gurschler Sieglinde è terza. Finisce così la prima
giornata del concorso. L’indomani, domenica mattina, dopo
un temporale notturno che ha reso il campo molto fangoso,
ci apprestiamo a guardare le categorie dei maschi. Fortunatamente un sole estivo e caldo rende tutto molto più semplice, asciugando il campo e il passaggio del pubblico alle
tribune e all’area VIP. Si aggiudica la prima classe puledri
di 1 anno e la miglior testa offerta da Al Mohamedia, “AJ
FENJAN” (Ajman Moniscione X RGA Kouress) di HH
Sh. Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. Anche per gli allevatori: Sig.ra Ida Arsenault e suo marito Franco Grotteria
una soddisfazione al rientro in show con “AG SHEIKHOMAN” (Ajman Moniscione X Ag Excquisit) che conquista
un secondo posto. “BOURAHANI MARJAL” (Marajj X
Focus Jaleesa) di Hannelore Bourdeaux è terzo. Seconda
classe anche quì per i puledri di 1 anno. Primo e miglior
testa “KANZ ALBIDAYER” (Ajman Moniscione X DL
Marielle) di Sh. Mohammed Bin Saud Al Qasimi. A solo
mezzo punto (ma và detto che il divario in questo show,
tra i primi tre è di pochissimi punti in quanto la qualità è
molto alta) “AJ BINTAN” (Wh Justice X RGA Kouress)
di HH Sh. Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. terzo posto
per “SHAMAL AL KHALEDIAH” (Padrons Immage
X Faaina AT) di HRH Prince Khalid Bin Sultan Al Saud.

That was the end of the first day of the competition. On
the following day, on Sunday morning, after a night
storm that made the field very muddy, we were all ready to follow the male categories. Fortunately, the hot
summer sun made things easier and dried up the field
as well as the stands and the VIP area. The top place and the prize for best head (provided by Al Mohamedia) in the category of yearling fillies was won by
“AJ FENJAN ” (Ajman Moniscione X RGA Kouress)
owned by HH Sh. Ammar Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi.
Great rewards also for the breeders: Mrs. Ida Arsenault
and her husband Franco Grotteria obtained a second
place after the comeback of “AG SHEIKHOMAN ”

also for yearling colts. “KANZ ALBIDAYER” (Ajman

head. Second by just half a point (but, it must be said,
the margin in this show was always very narrow as
the quality was consistently high) “AJ BINTAN ” (Wh

Bin Humaid Al Nuaimi. Third place for “SHAMAL
AL KHALEDIAH” (Padrons Immage X Faaina AT)

le premiazioni di rito a Giudici e organizzatori, ci si prepara
a vedere in campo i primi due classificati di ogni categoria
per l’ultimo giudizio che decreterà il campione la riserva e
il terzo. Con il nuovo metodo di giudizio vengono premiati
con il sistema olimpico: medaglia d’oro, argento e bronzo.
