Personal profile
I have six years of experience in the field of peace, conflicts and governance. My research cuts
across the fields of international relations, area studies and development studies. My main
geographical area of expertise is West Africa, but I am also interested in cross-national and
comparative research. My main strenghts are my analytical skills, my extensive field experience,
my ability to think originally and across disciplinary boundaries and to produce internationally
relevant research. I have published eight peer reviewed articles in English, some on top journals in
my field, plus numerous other publications in English, French and Italian.

Achievements:
I ensured to the smooth development of the electoral operations. I comanaged eight monitoring teams and military escorts and provided
induction and support to a high level delegation. I oversaw the positive
resolution of a potential security incident and I was able to individuate
security incidents and irregularities unreported by the monitoring teams.

Short-Term Electoral Observer (STO), Organization for Security and
Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Election Observation Mission to Albania.
Achievements:
I monitored five polling stations and performed two night shifts in the
observation of the counting and tabulation process. I maintained high
observation standards in spite of the challenging time schedule.

Long-Term Electoral Observer (LTO), Carter Center Electoral
Observation Mission in Côte d’Ivoire.
Achievements:
Our team established excellent relationships with all the main stakeholders
in our area of competence, managed effectively three STO teams and
developed an effective election-day observation strategy. We collected
information that allowed the core team to counter the incumbent Ivorian
regime’s attempt to manipulate the election results.

Achievements:
In charge of co-drafting the chapter on Italy of the annual report Global
Water Market 2010. I obtained updated and comprehensive figures about
the structure of the water market. The employers praised the final chapter
and I was asked if I could draft an updated version, which I declined due to
time constraints.

Achievements:
I completed two DDR country profiles (Haiti and Côte d'Ivoire) and
received very positive feedback. I moreover contributed to the
organization of a workshop on Security Sector Reform (SSR)-DDR
linkages and to the hiring of a consultant and a maternity leave cover.

Achievements:
I ensured the timely delivering of the organization newsletter and I
developed mechanisms for improving the management of time and
deadlines. I developed from scratch a paper-based and internet-based
