ore 19 - aule 1T e 2T del Politecnico di Torino - Sede di Via Boggio ( Ing. del Cinema),
PoliMovie International Club, l’Associazione Studentesca del Politecnico di Torino,
vi presenta il nuovo programma del Cineforum Bi-lingue (Italiano – Originale) dell’Ateneo.
Le proiezioni hanno cadenza settimanale e compatibilmente con la disponibilità logistica del
Politecnico, avranno luogo giovedì pomeriggio dalle ore 19 nelle aule 1T (versione originale
sottotitolata in italiano) e 2T (versione italiana sottotitolata in italiano o inglese).

in Italian or in English) of the Ingegneria del Cinema Faculty, cafeteria area, Via Boggio
The “PoliMovie International Club” (association of students of the Politecnico di Torino)
presents the “PoliMovie Cineforum”, the free university bilingual (original - Italian) cineclub. The project was born thanks to a group of students and their passion for the seventh art,
with the object of actively involving a large number of people.
Suggested movies belong to different categories: Cult Movies, Classical Movies, Special
Effects, Yesterday'
s, Today'
s and Tomorrow Movies and finally Other Cultures.
Each week an afternoon projection (7pm) in Aula 1T (original version subtitled in Italian) and
Aula 2T (italian version subtitled in Italian or in English) of the Ingegneria del Cinema
Faculty, cafeteria area, Via Boggio, according to the faculty'
s logistic availability.

Rear Window (USA, 1954, 120 min) directed by Alfred Hitchcock, and written by John
Michael Hayes, based on Cornell Woolrich'
s 1942 short story It Had to Be Murder. It stars
James Stewart, Grace Kelly, Wendell Corey and Thelma Ritter, and features Raymond Burr.
The film is considered by many film-goers, critics, and scholars to be one of Hitchcock'
s best
and most thrilling pictures.
In collaboration with CLA – Politecnico di Torino, Friday 20th February at 12.30 and
Tuesday 24th February at 16.00 the film will be shown in English, with subtitles in English in
the CLA seminar room. There is no need to book, and there are 50 places.

Lolita (UK, 1962, 153 min) directed by Stanley Kubrick based on the classic novel of the
same title by Vladimir Nabokov. The film stars James Mason as Humbert Humbert, Sue Lyon
as Dolores Haze (Lolita) and Shelley Winters as Charlotte Haze with Peter Sellers as Clare
Quilty.

The Blues Brothers (USA, 1980,130 min) directed by John Landis and starring John Belushi
and Dan Aykroyd as "Joliet" Jake and Elwood Blues, characters developed from a "Saturday
Night Live" musical sketch. It features musical numbers by R&B and soul singers James
Brown, Cab Calloway, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, and John Lee Hooker. The film is set in
and around Chicago, Illinois, and also features non-musical supporting performances by John
Candy, Carrie Fisher and Henry Gibson.
In collaboration with CLA – Politecnico di Torino, Friday 6th March at 12.30 and Tuesday
10th March at 16.00 the film will be shown in English, with subtitles in English in the CLA
seminar room. There is no need to book, and there are 50 places.

Braveheart (USA, 1995, 177 min) is an Academy Award-Winning, 1995 historical actiondrama movie produced and directed by Mel Gibson, who also starred in the title role. The film
was written for screen and then novelized by Randall Wallace. Gibson portrays a legendary
Scot, William Wallace, who gained recognition when he came to the forefront of the First
War of Scottish Independence by opposing Edward I of England (portrayed by Patrick
McGoohan) and subsequently abetted by Edward'
s daughter-in-law Princess Isabelle (played
by Sophie Marceau) and a claimant to the Scottish throne, Robert the Bruce (played by Angus
Macfadyen).
The film won five Academy Awards at the 68th Academy Awards, including the Academy
Award for Best Picture and Best Director, and had been nominated for an additional five.
