44° Encontro Nacional

After 18 years, the city of Porto Alegre, capital of the State
of Rio Grande do Sul, once again hosted the Encontro Nacional da Indústria de Cerâmica Vermelha, the national
meeting of the Brazilian heavy clay industry. The 44th edition
of this annual event organised by Anicer (Brazilian Brick and
Tile Manufacturers’ Association) was held from 16 to 19 September at the Fiergs Convention Center and was attended
by more than 1,700 visitors, including business
leaders, representatives of trade unions and associations, researchers and suppliers. With a packed
programme of technical seminars, courses and
debates, the meeting gave voice to a sector that
makes up 4.8% of the entire Brazilian construction
industry, consisting of 6,900 brick factories with a
total turnover of 18 billion Real and around 1.2
million employees (300,000 direct and 900,000 indirect workers). Each month the sector produces
more than 4 billion bricks and 1.3 billion roof tiles.
According to statistics published by the Rio
Grande do Sul building ceramics union Sindicer
(Sindicato da Indústria Olaria Cerâmica para
Construção do RS), there are 640 brickworks in Rio
Grande do Sul alone, largely in the region of Porto Alegre,
which employ 25,000 people and have a monthly production of 65 million bricks, roof tiles and hollow ceiling tiles.
“Because the event is held in different locations, we’re able
to reach different areas of the country each year,” said Cesar Gonçalves, Chairman of Anicer. “This year we’re in the
southern region, last year we were in the north and the year
before that we were in the northeast.

A distanza di 18 anni, è stata di nuovo la città di Porto Alegre, capitale dello Stato del Rio Grande do Sul, a ospitare la 44a edizione dell’Encontro Nacional da Indùstria de Ceramica Vermelha, l’Incontro Nazionale dell’Industria dei Laterizi brasiliana.
L’evento con cadenza annuale organizzato da Anicer (l’Associazione Brasiliana dei Produttori di Laterizi), si è svolto dal 16 al 19
settembre scorsi presso il Fiergs Convention Center raccogliendo oltre 1700 visitatori tra imprenditori, esponenti di sindacati e associazioni, ricercatori e fornitori.
Con seminari tecnici, corsi e dibattiti, il meeting ha
dato voce a un settore che rappresenta il 4,8%
dell’intera industria delle costruzioni brasiliana,
formato da circa 6.900 fornaci che complessivamente generano un fatturato di 18 miliardi di Real e circa 1,2 milioni di posti di lavoro (300 mila diretti e 900
mila indiretti).
Il comparto produce mensilmente oltre 4 miliardi
di mattoni e 1,3 miliardi di tegole. Secondo le statistiche Sindicer (Sindicato da Indústria Olaria
Cerâmica para Construção do RS), nel solo Rio
Grande do Sul si contano 640 fornaci, situate prevalentemente nella regione di Porto Alegre, che occupano 25 mila
addetti con una produzione mensile di 65 milioni di pezzi tra
mattoni, tegole e tavelle.
“L’evento, in quanto itinerante, ci consente di raggiungere ogni
anno aree diverse del Paese” - ha dichiarato Cesar Gonçalves,
Presidente Anicer. “Quest’anno ci troviamo nella regione meridionale, l’anno scorso eravamo al nord e quello precedente nel
Nord-Est. Ovunque abbiamo portato conoscenza, opportunità

As usual, the Encontro Nacional coincided with the 18th edition of Expoanicer, an international exhibition devoted to machinery and services for the brick and tile industry, where
around 100 exhibitors (60 at the last edition) from Brazil and
abroad (Italy, Spain, the United States and Greece) showcased their latest new technologies.
Given the energy crisis currently facing the Brazilian market, the
meeting concentrated above all on the theme of energy saving through technology and building materials. Discussions also
focused on quality, environmental sustainability, strategies and
future developments for the industry.
The event ended on 19 September with the customary company visits, which this year saw the participation of three of the
most important companies in the state of Rio Grande do Sul:
Pauluzzi Blocos, based in Sapucaia do Sul, a block manufacturer renowned for its high level of factory automation and its
tough, highly innovative products; Cerâmicas, Kaspary (Bom
Princípio), which has been in business since 1980 and has a
modern 30,000 square metre factory where it produces bricks
and tiles; and Cerâmica João Vogel, also located in Bom
Princípio, one of the most efficient factories in the state of Rio
Grande do Sul renowned in particular for its roof tile production.
The 46th Encontro Nacional will be held in Campinas in the
state of São Paulo from 24 to 27 August 2016.


Come di consueto, e parallelamente all’Encontro Nacional, si è
svolta la 18° edizione di Expoanicer, fiera internazionale dedicata a
macchine e servizi per l’industria del laterizio, dove circa 100 espositori (60 nella scorsa edizione) nazionali ed esteri (provenienti da
Italia, Spagna, Stati Uniti e Grecia) hanno messo in mostra le ultime novità tecnologiche.
A causa della crisi energetica che il mercato brasiliano si trova attualmente ad affrontare, il meeting si è concentrato soprattutto sul
tema del risparmio energetico sotto il profilo tecnologico e dei
materiali da costruzione. Non sono tuttavia mancati i dibattiti sulla qualità, sostenibilità ambientale, su linee strategiche e sviluppi
futuri per il settore.
La manifestazione si è conclusa il 19 settembre con le tradizionali
visite aziendali che quest’anno hanno coinvolto tre aziende tra le
più importanti dello Stato di Rio Grande do Sul: Pauluzzi Blocos,
con sede a Sapucaia do Sul, produttore di blocchi, conosciuto per
l’elevata automazione presente in fabbrica e per i suoi prodotti
particolarmente innovativi e ad alta resistenza; Cerâmicas, Kaspary (Bom Princípio), attiva sul mercato dal 1980 e dotata di un moderno stabilimento di 30 mila mq dove produce mattoni e tegole;
infine la fornace di João Vogel, sempre a Bom Princípio, tra le più
efficienti dello Stato del Rio Grande do Sul, nota per la produzione di tegole.
La 46° edizione dell’Encontro Nacional si terrà a Campinas, nello
stato di San Paolo, dal 24 al 27 agosto 2016.

