Settimana 37 – dall'8 al 25 Agosto 2013
Un saluto a tutti.
Anche questa seconda newsletter 'estiva' arriva con alcuni giorni di ritardo, dovuti non solo al periodo di
vacanza ma anche alla conseguente situazione di calma nelle attività del network, che non ci avrebbe
consentito di comunicare novità di rilievo; come detto la volta scorsa, in ogni caso, le notizie riportate saranno
soltanto una piccola selezione rispetto a tutte quelle in astratto riferibili al periodo 8-25 agosto.
Le novità principali che riguardano Greening USiena sono le seguenti:
– Il giorno 22 agosto i nostri membri Celik Rruplli e Jana Mikudova hanno partecipato a Siena alla prima
riunione organizzativa di avvicinamento alla Notte dei Ricercatori (SHINE!) 2013, che il prossimo 27
settembre ci vedrà impegnati, come noto, in Piazza del Campo nell'ambito dei cosiddetti Happy Hour
della ricerca. In quella sede cercheremo di diffondere presso cittadini e giovani la conoscenza delle
nostre attività e la nostra convinzione che l'Università degli Studi di Siena debba rappresentare un
punto di riferimento sul tema della sostenibilità a livello didattico ma anche di sensibilità istituzionale e di
coscienza studentesca.
– Sono state recentemente pubblicate sul nostro sito e sulla nostra pagina
Facebook le prime bozze degli wallpapers del progetto che abbiamo chiamato
Let's Green USiena: grazie all'impegno dell'ateneo e del gruppo di lavoro
Uni.D.E.A., infatti, gli sfondi che abbiamo realizzato prenderanno il loro posto a
partire da quest'anno in tutte le postazioni computer dell'Università, per
contribuire a diffondere sempre più la conoscenza del ruolo centrale che
vogliamo attribuire alle questioni della sostenibilità all'interno della cittadinanza
universitaria. Gli wallpapers (al momento cinque) saranno probabilmente soggetti a piccoli
aggiustamenti prima dell'adozione definitiva, ma già da adesso sono liberamente scaricabili a questo

Sugli altri versanti, continua il nostro lavoro prima della ripresa delle attività nel semestre autunnale, in primo
luogo con il coinvolgimento nella Welcome Week che ci vedrà sicuramente protagonisti (anche se per le
conferme ufficiali vi invitiamo ad attendere ancora qualche giorno) ed ovviamente con l'organizzazione di tutti gli
eventi e delle iniziative delle quali vi abbiamo spesso parlato.
