In the early ‘90s, Eurocom Telecomunicazioni launched its first software
for operation centres based on analogue radio technology: E-COM.
The features and aspect of E-COM drew inspiration from many similar
systems, while its name is an acronym derived from Eurocom Multipurpose
Operation Centre.
Because of the rapid evolution of all telecommunication systems
determined by new technology updates, the development of E-COM was
no longer supported; for this reason, Spettra was launched based on
that old-fashioned application.
Just like Motorola, that revolutionized radio technology passing from
conventional systems to DMR, Eurocom Telecomunicazioni launched
Spettra, a professional application that, unlike E-COM and its competitors,
was specifically created for digital rather than analogue technology.
Spettra is a client/server programme designed for digital technology.
Its name draws inspiration from its server components working in an
invisible manner. In this way, the operator can work with a client without
displaying useless commands, but these commands, that are necessary
for the application, can be used by the super user.

Spettra
Client/Server Configuration
Like it happens for all Enterprise software programmes,
the basic structure is created for multiple use, but both
applications can coexist in the same device. The server
operates in such a way that is not visible to the user.
Minimum configuration required:
•state-of-the-art devices
•Win 7 64bit, i Core 5, 2Gb RAM and High Audio Maya
audio card.
Multi Channel/Multi Technology
Spettra can manage more digital DMR radio channels,
more analogue DMR channels, more TETRA channels.
The suggested radio terminals are:
•Motorola DMR DM3601,
•Motorola DMR DM4601,
•Motorola TETRA MTMxxx.

Spettra records all incoming calls even when the
software is engaged in other activities.
Received calls can be recorded in invisible mode when
the user is working on another channel, and then
subsequently retrieved.
PTT management is effected through the microphone
or console rather than through the keyboard of
the PC; the FAST PTT function allows to associate a
preconfigured channel to a specific keyword button.
Example: F1 - channel 1, F2 - channel 2.
Or by remote control. Spettra intercepts the used PTT,
and makes the busy channel invisible for all other
connected clients.
Radio Alarm
Spettra recognizes the alarm signal launched by the
terminals through the relevant button, both for DMR
and TETRA terminals.
Combined PTT
Every client can manage PTT from the connected radio
or from the base, rather than from the base.
Privacy
Spettra was projected and developed in accordance
with all privacy regulations set by the proprietary
company and all involved users. The legal support of
a professional representative allows for development
of the product in compliance with current rules and
regulations.

E-Map 2.0
For a company it is important to have the fleet of vehicles under control, not
only from the mechanical standpoint or in terms of maintenance, but also
as far as its physical location on the territory and the verification of the path
covered are concerned.
E-Map 2.0 was developed in order to provide a permanent, reliable and
immediate location service using the GPS source coming from different
devices; GPS device, transceiver radio device or another NMEA standard
source.
E-Map 2.0 uses the vehicle master data base of Spettra, but it can be used
without the software for the management of communications.

Vehicle Identification
The operator can display and hide the identification
icons of equipment/vehicles on the map. This option
can be managed both at individual and group level.

N groups with custom rights that can be associated
with N users can be created. LOG storage will create
records of operation for the logged in user.
Point od Interest (P.O.I.)
It is possible to add, view and remove POIs directly
on the map, accelerating assistance operations;
Furthermore, by classifying the POIs in groups, such
property can be extended to the overall map.
The P.O.I. is usually an icon that identifies a place or
an activity; in the case of E-Map 2.0, we can associate
a map point or path considered ‘at risk’ to a “point of
interest”. This way it is possible to track the path the
vehicle is engaged on.
Supervised Areas and routes
E-Map 2.0 has a structured management that can
draw polygons defining limited areas.
The management of the supervision perimeter or set
course (creation, modification, cancellation, viewing)
has been developed in E-Map 2.0; the operator has
the option to associated transceiver radio devices to
highlighted areas or to a scheduled route, in order
to monitor the routes of one or more devices in the
highlighted area.
The station operator will be able to view and track
the routes of vehicles on the map in order to comply
with a scheduled engagement
Tracking
Polling/tracking information can be defined both
at group and individual levels, defining the single/
individual radio as a priority.

KML format, as well as the device tracking history.
