• Fon Wireless (tlc fixed-mobile): supported the launch of Italian activities, defined operating

Created and managed the development of one of the first independent provider of telecom
infrastructures and of integrated broadband services, listed at the Italian Stock Exchange
• Planned and built one of the first local fibre network (MAN) in fifteen cities to connect
business customers directly with fibre/DSL.
• Finalized various joint ventures to speed up implementation:, Norsitel, jv with Nortel Network
and Sirti for the network infrastructure, Planet eCom jv with Accenture for IT services in ASP;
Consiagnet with Consiag (Prato local utility) for local network.
• Executed IPO: sold 20% for Euro 120 Mln;
Obtained a bank commitment to
underwrite/syndicate a senior loan facility for Euro ~240 Mln.
• Having missed to finalize the senior loan, started and managed a challenging restructuring plan,
in particular: refocused investment plan in ten cities only, split network and retail activities, cut
headcounts by ~100 people (-30%) in six months, started divestures of non core investments,
identified equity investors and finalized a capital increase with warrants of ~E130 Mln;
successfully finalized the transaction exited and sold own stake.

• Defined the initial business idea, developed the business plan and finalized first rounds of
financing of ~E5Mln between equity and leasing; finalized E30Mln unsecured mezzanine loan;
• Managed the development of the company from zero to ~E30 Mln in revenues in four years
with over 30.000 business customers.
• Recruited and managed over 350 between manager and staff located in Milan, Rome, Padua

• AT&T (tlc fixed): identified global telecommunications needs of US MNCs . Identified gap
between AT&T and major competitors’ capabilities and evaluated opportunity and risk;

requirements. Designed process flow and information plans.
• Rizzoli (media publisher): analyzed BUs attractiveness and competitive position. Implemented

• Acindar (steel): designed the new commercial strategy and the implementation plan for the
turnaround of Acindar. Developed need-based segmentation and tailored value proposition.
