LE DATE DEI PROSSIMI CHRISTMAS TRADE SHOW Fino al 2020 l’Annual Pet Industry Christmas Trade Show avrà come sede il Donald E. Stephens Convention Center di
Rosemont (Chicago) e si svolgerà nel mese di settembre. Il programma che si estende per otto anni è stato stilato dalla H.H. Backer Associates. Queste le prossime date del salone dedicato ai prodotti natalizi: 20/22 settembre 2013, 19/21 settembre 2014, 18/20 settembre 2015, 23/25 settembre 2016, 15/17 settembre 2017, 28/30 settembre 2018, 20/22
settembre 2019, 25/27 settembre 2020.
“Siamo lieti di poter confermare fin da subito le date per i prossimi otto anni in modo da rendere più facile organizzare la partecipazione sia di espositori che di visitatori” ha commentato Colette Fairchild, direttore commerciale della H.H. Backer Associates. Il salone si svolgerà sempre da venerdì a domenica senza interferire
con alcuna festività. La prossima edizione della Backer’s Spring Show è in programma invece dal 9 all’11 aprile ad Atlantic City e avrà cadenza biennale.

CHRISTMAS TRADE SHOW DATES THROUGH 2020 The Annual Pet Industry Christmas Trade Show will remain in the September time frame through 2020 at the
Donald E. Stephens Convention Center di Rosemont (Chicago). H.H. Backer Associates fixed the dates for the next eight shows: September 20-22, 2013; September 1921, 2014; September 18-20, 2015; September 23-25, 2016; September 15-17, 2017; September 28-30, 2018; September 20-22, 2019; September 25-27, 2020.
“We’re pleased to be able to confirm earlier show dates for eight consecutive years to make it easier for retailers to plan holiday orders, and for exhibitors to deliver merchandise,”
said Colette Fairchild, trade show director for H.H. Backer Associates. All shows will take place on Friday, Saturday and Sunday and do not conflict with any festivity.

GLI EVENTI DI AQUARAMA Grande attesa per Aquarama 2013, in programma a Singapore dal 30 maggio al 2 giungo 2013. Da ogni parte del mondo continuano ad aggiungersi
nuovi partecipanti all’International Ornamental Fish Extravaganza, oltre agli espositori già consolidati che rinnovano la loro adesione. Alcuni importanti appuntamenti sono già fissati. Per esempio nel corso di Aquarama si svolgerà l’assemblea annuale di OFI (Ornamental Fish International) che annuncerà il vincitore del Premio 2013 OFI durante la cerimonia di apertura il 30 maggio. Tra le altre iniziative previste nell’ambito del salone, il nuovo programma Hosted Buyers, il Star Product Showcases, incontri e seminari per il trade e
per il pubblico, la vetrina delle novità, l’International Fish and Tank Competition, e poi visite guidate alle aziende e molto altro ancora. Inoltre, è da ricordare che Pet Asia 2013 si
terrà proprio nel padiglione accanto, un modo per coinvolgere un sempre maggior numero di visitatori.

AQUARAMA EVENTS Everyone is looking forward to Aquarama 2013, which will be held in Singapore from 30th May to
2nd June 2013. New companies are joining the International Ornamental Fish Extravaganza every day from all parts of the world. Some important events have already been fixed.
For instance, the annual OFI (Ornamental Fish International) will take place during the show; the organization will also announce the 2013 OFI Award winner during the Opening
Ceremony. Aquarama will host many events like the new Hosted Buyers Programme, the Star Product Showcases, trade and public seminars, New Product Showcases, the
renowned International Fish and Tank Competition, farm visits and much more. Pet Asia 2013 will be held right next door to bring in more trade and public visitors.

NUOVO RESPONSABILE COMMERCIALE A PETQUIP Pat Flynn, editrice della rivista britannica dedicata al giardinaggio Garden Trade News, avrà un importante incarico quale
responsabile commerciale di PetQuip, l’associazione che raduna produttori ed esportatori del pet in Gran Bretagna. Senza per questo lasciare il suo ruolo a The Garden Communication & Media Company (TGCMC), proprietari di GTN, Garden Radio e The Greatest Awards. L’esperienza maturata nei 10 anni di attività editoriale sarà molto utile a Pat Flynn
per estendere il suo talento in un mercato diverso che utilizzerà le sue capacità organizzative e imprenditoriali. Amanda Sizer Barrett, direttore generale di PetQuip, ha detto: “Siamo

NEW TRADE ASSOCIATION MANAGER FOR PETQUIP Pat Flynn, the publisher of UK garden trade journal, Garden Trade News, is to take on an
additional role as trade association manager of Pet Quip, the UK based trade association for pet product manufacturers and exporters. She will continue
in her role at The Garden Communication & Media Company (TGCMC), owners of GTN, Garden Radio and The Greatest Awards. Over the past 10 years
Pat has developed commercial revenues and new business for TGCMC and this new role with PetQuip allows her to extend her talents into a different market utilising her
organisational skills and experience. Pet Quip’s director general, Amanda Sizer Barrett MBE, said: “Pat’s industry background, her commercial acumen and her network of contacts
will be a valuable asset for PetQuip. We are very much looking forward to working with her and she is looking forward to opening up valuable new business opportunities for PetQuip’s

ENTRARE NEL MERCATO NIPPONICO È giunto alla 14esima edizione Japan Pet Fair, che si svolgerà a Osaka dal 28 al 31 marzo. Organizzato con cadenza biennale da JPPMA
(Japan Pet Products Manufacturers Association), il salone è diviso in due parti: le prime due giornate (il 28 e il 29) saranno dedicate esclusivamente ai professionisti del settore,
mentre il 30 e il 31 Japan Pet Fair verrà aperto al pubblico. Negli anni scorsi, la percentuale più elevata di visitatori era di tipo professionale e interessata alle novità e ai trend di settore, mentre il pubblico può vedere in esposizione i prodotti, ricevere campioni omaggio
e assistere agli spettacoli. Per i visitatori stranieri, JPPMA sta organizzando una serie di aiuti e attività per semplificare attività doganali,

HOW TO TACKLE THE JAPANESE MARKET The 14th Japan Pet Fair will take place in Osaka on 28th to 31st March 2013. The
biannual event is organized by JPPMA (Japan Pet Products Manufacturers Association) and divided into 2 sections: the first two days
(28th and 29th March) are devoted to trade whereas the two others (30th and 31st) are public days. Most of visitors coming on the trade days are interested in the new products and
market trends; the public enjoys the product display, receives samples and participates in many shows. For foreign attendees JPPMA is now considering the enforcement of special
