REGISTRATION DESK
The registration desk will be located in the lobby of the Congress Center and
will be open for registration of participants starting from 11.00 a.m. of 8th
october.
LANGUAGE
English will be the official language.
TECHNICAL SERVICES
Direct PC projection will be available. Slides must be submitted to the Slide
Centre at least 2 hours before the scheduled presentation.
REGISTRATION FEE
The registration fee includes: participation in the scientific sessions, conference
kit, coffee breaks, luncheons.

ECM CREDITS ( for italian participants only)
The Congress ECM Credits will be required only for Italian participants
CALL FOR PAPERS
Contributed papers should be in the form of either oral or poster presentations.
Participants wishing to present papers are invited to submit an abstract.
Please indicate when you submit an abstract the oral or poster form you
prefer as well as the topic. The scientific committee will take the final decision
on the acceptance and form of the presentation.
The deadline for abstract submission is May 15th, 2008.
The abstract submission is possible through the web site starting from
February 1st, 2008.
In addition to the name and affiliation of authors, the body of the abstract is
limited to a maximum of 1200 characters (spaces included) and cannot
contain figures and other objects.
Within July 1st, 2008 notifications regarding acceptance/rejection of abstracts
will be sent to the contact author by e-mail.
The abstracts will be printed in the Abstract Proceedings Book of the Congress
only if the author has paid the registration fee within July, 15th 2008. Failure
to register will result in abstract withdrawal. The Abstract Proceedings Book
will be distributed to all registered participants.
Travel awards will be made available to participants whose abstract has
been selected for oral presentation.
Young investigator awards, covering registration fee and accomodation, will
also be granted, but their numbers will depend on the availability of funds.
Selection of awardees will be based upon several factors, including geographic
location and placement of abstracts in the selection process. To be
considered for a young investigator award (age limit 35 years old), please
check the appropriate box when submitting abstracts online.

Ticinese/Rozzano. Continue following instructions on paragraph “From

FROM LINATE AIRPORT
Take Tangenziale Est to Genova direction, Tangenziale Ovest exit
Ticinese/Rozzano. Continue following instructions on paragraph “From
Highways”.
FROM CENTRAL RAILWAY STATION
Take Circonvallazione dei Bastioni to Porta Ticinese, continue following

USEFUL INFORMATION
Money: coins are 1, 2, 5, 10, 20, 50 cents and 1, 2 Euro. Bank notes are 5,
10, 20, 50, 100, 200, 500 Euro. Banking hours are 8:30 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. and
2:30 p.m.– 4:30 p.m. Banks are closed on Sundays and Saturday afternoons.
Exchange: foreign currencies can be exchanged at banks or foreign exchange
offices. For further information on Italian Tourism: Italian National Tourism
Organisation - www.enit.it
Cash: it is generally safe to carry cash in Milano. Small amounts of cash are
needed for most forms of transportation, small shops and for other small
purchases.
Checks and Credit cards: personal checks are not in general use. Credit
cards are widely used in urban areas. Shops and restaurants that accept
credit cards have stickers at the entrance or signs posted elsewhere to indicate
which cards are accepted. Prepaid cards used in public telephone booths
and for other purposes are sold in most newspaper stands.
Electricity: electric current for home use is 220 volts 50 hz and sockets are
either at three or two-ways (Schuko Type). Adapters are needed.
Telephone: international calls can be made from many downtown public
telephones. Prepaid cards are cheaper to use for these calls. Some of the
public phones can access the Internet. Internet cafes are also quite popular
now-a-days and they can be found in the city centre.
