the École nationale supérieure Louis-Lumière in 2012. His photos have been published in national
and international magazines and newspapers. The main focus of his work at the moment is the
relationship between states and corporations.
Sinossi/Synopsis
Samsung Galaxy, la prima video opera dell’autore, mostra la tentacolare attività di una società che
non si occupa solamente di elettronica: dalle centrali alle industrie petrolchimiche, dalla costruzione
di ponti e porti ad altre attività infrastrutturali, dalla realizzazione di ospedali e università, dalla
creazione di parchi giochi alla gestione di squadre sportive, Samsung è ovunque. Il quadro non è
però idilliaco e non mancano lati oscuri.
Samsung Galaxy, Champalaune’s first video work, shows the tentacular activity of a company
which does not only deal with electronics: from power stations to the petrochemical industry, from
building bridges and ports to other infrastructural activities, from building hospitals and
universities, from the creation of playgrounds to managing sports teams, Samsung is everywhere. It
is not an idyllic picture however and there are some dark sides.
