Amo l’amore dei marinai / che baciano e se ne vanno./
Lasciano una promessa. / Mai più ritornano. / In ogni porto
una donna attende: / i marinai baciano e se ne vanno.
Vanno e vengono. Ma dove vanno …ma cosa fanno …
ma come fanno i marinai a rimanere veri uomini? Perché
sono uomini veri. Perché sono liberi. Perché sempre ameranno il mare, che è il loro specchio. Perché la loro vita è ritmo,
musica.
Navigano lungo le coste, tra isolotti coperti d’alghe, che
splendono al sole come smeraldi, oppure in mezzo all’oceano, spinti al largo da uno spirito non domato e dall’ amore
della vita.
Sanno che al di là dell’orizzonte c’è la terra, c’è la città.
Ci sono le luci del porto. Taverne fumose, balere, feste, orchestrine, balli, gare, maratone di danze che a volte durano
giorni o mesi, come in un film. Ballare, bere, giocare, a carte,

Vento, sole, mare… i marinai esultano felici nell’andare e
niente può trattenere il loro cuore che si immerge nelle acque
del mare.
Accanto hanno sempre una nuova compagna, che balla
e danza. Volteggia con loro nell’aria e vuole musica, musica
sopra ogni cosa.
La borsa, inseparabile e fidata, che mai li abbandona.
Metafora stessa della vita in mare, dell’ansia di libertà, del
muoversi come le onde, dell’andare e tornare.
Robusti tessuti a righe bianche e nere, con profili
bordeaux; scozzesi rielaborati; sovrastampe nebbiose nei toni
dei grigi e marron oppure più chiari; ecrù di terre, di sabbie,
di spiagge assolate.
Materiali che si inseguono liberi, si accostano, si allontanano rapidi, si arricchiscono di superfici ruvide o morbide,
variamente ritmate e scandite.
Come i marinai, viaggiatrici instancabili, dinamiche,
nomadi, cosmopolite, aperte a nuove avventure, a incontri e
scontri, a ricerche, scoperte di mondi lontani.
Ideali compagne di viaggio, che fanno promesse non
dimenticate. In esse tutto rivela accurato studio e sapiente lavoro, personalità forte e sfaccettata, uniche,diverse, mai

presentano la capsule collection
primavera estate 2014
La magnetica attrazione degli opposti crea ancora una
grande alchimia tra Antonio Marras, uno dei più estrosi e
creativi stilisti italiani e Piquadro, il marchio di accessori per
il lavoro e il viaggio ispirato ai valori di tecnologia e design,
riconoscibile per l’originalità e l’eleganza del suo stile sobrio
e pulito. Lunedì 24 giugno, terzo giorno delle sfilate maschili
a Milano verrà presentata la seconda capsule collection creata
da Antonio Marras per Piquadro.
Lo stile marinaro retrò della capsule primavera estate
firmata dallo stilista sardo trova il suo set ideale nell’American Bar Le Banque, trasformato in una balera d’altri tempi
per ospitare l’evento dal titolo Notte danzante per bulli, pupe
e marinai. Una performance live di ballerini in costume e
orchestra offrirà una preview assolutamente unica della capsule collection in cui le tecnologie più avanzate si sovrappongono, attraverso un’innovativa user experience, all’atmosfera
del passato di una sala da ballo animata da swing, rock‘n
roll, tango e altre musiche dal vivo: tutti gli ospiti potranno
visualizzare sui loro smartphone, o sui tablet messi a disposizione da Samsung, contenuti digitali interattivi che mescolano la visione live dell’evento con immagini e informazioni
pre-registrate.

Piquadro” commenta Marco Palmieri, Presidente e Amministratore Delegato dell’azienda bolognese. “Le due collezioni
che portano la sua firma sono inconfondibili nel loro stile
eppure parlano il linguaggio di Piquadro. Gli abbinamenti

“A prima vista i nostri mondi sono diametralmente opposti” afferma Antonio Marras. “In realtà, a uno sguardo più
attento, i confini diventano sempre più sfumati, fino a scomparire del tutto, lasciando emergere affinità e sintonie. È la
solita storia degli ossimori di cui la mia vita si alimenta e da
cui trae nuove energie. Direi una sfida, la curiosità, l’urgenza
che mi spinge a sconfinare in terreni altri, a tentare nuove
esperienze. La borsa è per me un vero e proprio oggetto del
desiderio che attrae, seduce, e parla, dice tante cose.” La capsule collection Antonio Marras+Piquadro per la
primavera estate 2014 si compone di 11 borse in tessuto e
pelle e piccola pelletteria abbinata. Ogni borsa è realizzata in
due versioni, una a righe bianche e nere con profili bordeaux
e una scozzese rielaborata con una sovrastampa nei toni del
grigio, ecrù e marrone. I modelli sono reinterpretazioni retrò
di “classici” Piquadro come lo zaino, la messenger, la borsa
porta computer e il trolley multitasche.

I love the love of sailors / who kiss and say goodbye. /
They leave a promise / and never return / In every port a woman waits / for the kiss of a sailor who said goodbye.
They come and go. But where do they go… what do
they do… what is it about sailors? They are real men. Because
they’re free. Because they will always love the sea, which is
their mirror. Because their life is rhythm, music.
They navigate the coasts, between islands that sparkle
like emeralds in the sun, or they sail the open ocean, driven
by an untamed spirit and a love of living.
They know that beyond the horizon lies the land, the
city, the lights of the harbor. Smoky taverns, dance halls, parties, musicians, contests, dance marathons that can last days,
even months, like in a movie. Dancing, drinking, playing
dice, gambling with love. And of course brawls, then kisses,
then a hundred more, then a thousand.
Time flies as they swing, fox trot, tap, spin, laugh,
slowing down for the ballads that engulf them in tender embraces, ardent passions, mad flights.

Sturdy fabrics with black and white stripes, burgundy
profiles; redesigned plaids; veiled print overlays in gray and
brown, or in lighter ecru, the color of a sunny beach.
Materials that come together freely, that separate quickly, enriched by rough or smooth surfaces, variably textured
rhythms.
Like sailors, they are tireless travelers, dynamic, nomadic, cosmopolitan, open to new adventures, quests and conquests, discoveries of distant worlds.

Piquadro and Antonio Marras present the
Spring/Summer 2014 capsule collection
The magnetic attraction of opposites once again generates a spectacular alchemy between Antonio Marras, one of
Italy’s most talented and creative designers, and Piquadro, the
brand for work and travel accessories inspired by technology
and design, unmistakable for the originality and elegance of
its clean, understated style. On Monday, 24 June, the third
day of the men’s fashion shows in Milan, Antonio Marras and
Piquadro will present their second capsule collection.
The retro yachting style of the Spring/Summer capsule collection signed by the Sardinian designer finds its ideal
setting at Le Banque American Bar, transformed into a dance
hall of yesteryear to host the event, titled Dancing Nights
for Guys, Dolls and Sailors. A live performance by costumed dancers and an orchestra will offer an absolutely unique
preview of the capsule collection, where the most advanced
technologies overlap in an innovative user experience, in
the atmosphere of an old-time dance hall animated by live
swing, rock&roll, tango and other classic genres. Guests will
be able to watch on their smartphones, or on tablets provided
by Samsung, interactive digital content that combines live
viewing of the event with pre-recorded images and info.

“At first glance our worlds are diametrically opposed”,
says Antonio Marras. “But looking more closely, the boundaries become blurred until they disappear entirely, and a remarkable affinity emerges. It’s the usual story of the oxymorons that nourish my existence and from which I draw
new energy. I would say that the challenge, the curiosity, the
urgency of it drives me to venture into new territories, to try
new experiences. The bag for me is a true object of desire,
one that attracts, seduces and speaks - and it has a lot to say”. The Antonio Marras+Piquadro capsule collection for
Spring/Summer 2014 is composed of 11 bags in fabric and
leather, combined with leather accessories. Each bag comes in
two versions, one with black and white stripes, with burgundy profiles and a sort of revised plaid with printed overlays in
gray, ecru and brown. The models are retro reinterpretations
of Piquadro ‘classics’ like the backpack, the messenger bag,
the computer bag and the multi-pocket trolley.
