BIOGRAFIA
Presentare il Maestro Vincenzo Bianchi non è facile a causa della sua poliedrica
attività che tocca tutte le Arti visive, dalla scultura alla pittura, dalla grafica alla
video-art, alla grafotecnica; ogni mezzo plastico-materico o materializzante gli è
congeniale, tuttavia ora ci coglie di sorpresa con l'uso del laser. Per primo lo ha
sperimentato non solo sui materiali tradizionali, quali marmo, ferro etc, ma come
se fosse un bulino su lastre e tavolette, creando ipso fatto o il solco finissimo del
segno dell'acquaforte o quello più greve e corposo della pirografìa.
Bianchi è l'artista che ha dedicato le sue opere più significative ad un tema che da
sempre ha affascinato l'umanità: la pace e la fratellanza fra i popoli.
Vincenzo Bianchi è l'autore del monumento all'Europa "Il Nuovo Icaro", di cui i l
Presidente del Parlamento Europeo Lord Henry Plumb, in occasione della
visita a Frosinone per ricevere l'opera, ha sottolineato l'importanza del messaggio
per un'Europa Unita.
Il Presidente del Parlamento Europeo Lord Henry Plumb ha scritto: "Il suo
nome, Maestro Bianchi, rimarrà nei secoli legato alla memoria di quel gruppo
di uomini saggi che vollero lanciare il messagg i o coraggioso per
un'Europa Unita, quando ancora era divisa e viveva nel dolore di ferite e di
sangue. Mi complimento per la sua opera scultorea che sembra coprire gli
spazi di un domani senza confini".
L'opera "La porta della fratellanza" ex "Libro Pacis" è il risultato di una lettura
profonda della invisibile "Forza dell'amore" che fa in modo che più persone di
estrazione sociale, di formazione culturale, di tradizioni e linguaggi dissimili
possono entrare in comunione per la costruzione della grande "casa della pace".
Altra opera monumentale di Vincenzo Bianchi, "La porta della luce ex libro Pacis",
è stata presentata, tramite il bozzetto in occasione della conferenza mondiale
delle ''Sister Cities International", ossia delle città gemellate di tutto il mondo, nella
città di Lexinton nel Kentucky, dove si sono riunite 1200 città dalle più grandi alle
più piccole del m o n d o . I l b o z z e t t o è s t a t o d o n a t o a l m u s e o Columbus Day .
Molto significativa è "La colonna della fratellanza", simb o l o d e l g e m e l l a g g i o t r a
l a c i t t à d i S u b i a c o e d i Ochsenhausen in Germania, avvenuto nel nome di San
Benedetto, Patrono d'Europa. Il bozzetto dell'opera e quello del monumento
dedicato a San Benedetto; che sorgerà insieme ad una nuova chiesa sul monte Livata,
sono stati benedetti dal Santo Padre nel corso di un'udienza generale, il 5 aprile
1993. Con questa realizzazione - ha spiegato S.E. Abate Vescovo di Subiaco Mons.
Stanislao Andreotti - si vuole suggellare il grande messaggio di pace e di unità
per l'Europa Cristiana proclamata da San Benedetto.
Si deve sottolineare infine che un'opera notevole, la prima delle grandi
dedicate al tema della pace, è stata realizzata dall'Artista a Cervara di Roma. Qui,
in questo piccolo gioiello dei Simbruini, dove è già sorto il "Museo della Montagna
d'Europa per la Pace nel Mondo attraverso l'Arte" il cui manifesto è stato firmato
dal premio Nobel Carlo Rubbia, e dove validi allievi dell'Accademia di Firenze,
diretti da Vincenzo Bianchi, hanno lasciato le loro sculture lungo la scalinata degli
Artisti, si trova un'opera unica per originalità e bellezza, la "Roccia dell'ex Libro
Pacis". Da una grande roccia calcarea che si incastona tra pareti di case e coppie di
tetti, sono emersi, con paziente e silenzioso lavoro, immagini, volti, figure antropomorfe, sentimenti sbozzati. E' la prima pagina di un libro non scritto ma scolpito,
dedicato alla pace.
E' da notare che tutta la creatività innovatrice di Vincenzo Bianchi trova riscontro
nell'iter didattico inconsueto, che gli ha dato modo di sperimentare in profondità
tutto ciò che c'è di più moderno nelle tecniche grafiche, scultoree e pittoriche.
Iniziato l'insegnamento negli Avviamenti Professionali Industriali, l'artista è
passato alle Scuole Medie poi agli Istituti Industriali, infine al Liceo Artistico, prima
come assistente in seguito come titolare di cattedra, quindi all'Istituto d'Arte e
all'Accademia delle Belle Arti come docente di pittura e di scultura (Accademie di
Catanzaro, Frosinone, Urbino). Nominato Direttore dell'Accademia di Belle
Arti di Macerata, ha diretto per 25 anni la Prima Cattedra di Scultura
d e l l 'Accademia di Belle Arti di Firenze.
Sono state realizzate, ricordiamo, la grande scultura per il Parlamento Europeo di
Strasburgo "...Il Nuovo Icaro ...", con i vari bozzetti che sono stati consegnati, uno
al Museo del Parlamento Polacco e, in occasione Della W o r l d C o n f e r e n c e
o f T w i n C i t i e s t e n u t a s i a Gerusalemme nel marzo 1988, uno al premio Nobel
per l a P a c e P r i m o M i n i s t r o S h i m o n P e r e s e u n o a l Presidente del
Parlamento Israeliano Chain Herzog e inoltre, la Montagna d'Europa dedicata al
sacrificio del Lavoro in Subiaco, centro irradiante del pensiero di San Benedetto, Patrono
d'Europa. Il maestro Bianchi ha consegnato nella città di Mosca il bozzetto in
argento del monumento dedicato al sacrificio del lavoro nel mondo della sezione
ANMIL di Frosinone, ... Pace ... Fede ... Progresso ...., al premio Nobel della pace
Michail Gorbaciov che ne ha fatto il logo della sua prestigiosa fondazione. Lo
stesso bozzetto è stato consegnato al sindaco di Skopje in Macedonia e al
presidente pro tempore della Regione Lazio Dott. Badaloni.
E' stato invitato nel 1998 e nel 2000, dal 20 al 25 agosto, a l P r e m i o d i P o e s i a
I n t e r n a z i o n a l e d i S t r u g a i n Macedonia, capitale mondiale della poesia; in
questa occasione il Comitato ha tradotto in lingua macedone cinquanta pensieri
della sua raccolta ed è stato onorato per ben due volte a salire sul palco, costruito
sul fiume Drin, a leggere una sua poesia.
E' stato invitato dal Presidente della grande organizzazione giapponese Fujiankei
Group per proporre un programma per l'anno 2001, che il Giappone dedicherà
all'Italia, da svolgersi nel più grande museo all'aperto del mondo, " The Hakone OpenAir Museum ".
L'artista ha realizzato in Giordania, sul monte Nebo dove è morto Mosé, una
scultura alta 5,50 m dedicata al "Libro delle genti".
In occasione del viaggio del Papa in Terra Santa, Vincenzo Bianchi ha
realizzato l'Ambone per la Chiesa della Flagellazione a Gerusalemme e due
medaglie che sono state consegnate al Santo Padre una sul Monte Nebo,
all'inizio del viaggio, una nella Grotta di Betlemme, alla fine del viaggio.
Nel 1998 in un'udienza è stato ricevuto da S.S. Giovanni P a o l o I I a l q u a l e h a
c o n s e g n a t o i l " S a s s o d e l l a Montagna d'Europa per la Pace ".
La stessa opera è stata consegnata al Presidente della Repubblica Oscar Luigi
Scalfaro dal Sindaco di Cervara di Roma insieme alla deIegazione macedone.

Come già accennato, Bianchi è l’unico e il primo che ha operato con il laser e che ha
fatto studi su tutti gli effetti possibili e sulle possibili applicazioni nel non facile campo
delle arti visive. Ciò che meraviglia è la fantasia delle argomentazioni e i temi
suggestivi da lui affrontati. Capo scuola de “I Nuovi Primitivi”, si impegnò in una grande
mostra al Museo dell’Abbazia di Casamari con opere il cui tema era “...Energia...
Luce... Forma...”. IL suo tempo e il suo spazio viene “Dalla Genesi all’Orrido”, aperti
“Dalla Energia alla Materia”, dall’incastro ritmico del ...gesto-segno-simbolo... , da “La
Caduta dell’Angelo”, “dalla Terra al Cosmo”, “dal Gesto al Segno... dal Simbolo... al
Potere.. “, “dall’Ominide all’Homo Sapiens”, Itinerarium in Mente Hominis... (Subiaco),
...il Tempo del Segno, il Segno del Tempo... (Fiuggi), ... Arte Religione ... Scienza ...
(Subiaco).
Tutto per puntualizzare un nuovo canone di lettura dell’arte, dove ogni cosa è risolta
realmente con i mezzi più disparati, non ultimi gli sbalzi in oro e argento.
Ma questo mondo de “...I Nuovi Primitivi...” pare non conoscere limiti ed è giusto
perché lo Spazio-Tempo non ha limiti e la mente umana e cosi ricca di fantasia - che è
inesauribile - da superare ogni dimensione, da valicare la quarta dimensione dove il
metro di lettura è il nuovo alfabeto della intelligenza.
Cosi nascono “dal Feticismo al Sacro”, “Ia Porta della Luce”, “l’Icaro”, “Ia Porta della
Fratellanza”, “l’Ex Libro Pacis”, ricchi di simbolismi e di immagini.
Nasce in lui il desiderio di fondare una scuola “Stoà” dove, in tutta libertà, fuori da
canoni vincolanti e limitativi, si possa finalmente insegnare come si faceva un tempo a
bottega, dove maestro e allievo erano tutt’uno, in perfetta simbiosi e sintonia con la
storia.

L'ultimo sforzo di Vincenzo Bianchi è la proiezione sulla montagna della Ciociaria,
precisamente a Fontana Liri, il suo paese natale, di uno spettacolo-laser "...La montagna di
cristallo..." e per la prima volta una mostra di opere-laser, dove la pittura entra in simbiosi con la
scultura e viceversa: "...Quando le maschere sognano... di essere Angeli... ".
Vincenzo Bianchi è nato a Fontana Liri (Frosinone) il 28.05.1939.
Risiede a Isola del Liri (Frosinone). E' curatore del Museo di Arte antica e
moderna di Casamari e ha diretto per 25 anni la Prima Cattedra di Scultura
nell'Accademia d i B e l l e A r t i d i F i r e n z e . H a i n s e g n a t o s c u l t u r a
nell'Accademia di Catanzaro, Frosinone, Urbino. Ha diretto l'Accademia di Belle
Arti di Macerata.
Ha conseguito importanti riconoscimenti in Italia e all'estero:

* E’ stato istituito nella città di Niigata il premio di pittura Vincenzo Bianchi.
Ha esposto in Giappone, Canada, Australia, USA, Tunisia, Messico, Francia, Egitto,
Jugoslavia, Grecia, Svizzera, Macedonia, Argentina, Ungheria, Bulgaria, Romania. Ha
fatto viaggi di studio in Germania, Polonia, Russia, lsraele, Turchia, Spagna, Olanda,
lnghilterra, Giordania, Siria, Mongolia e Cina.
Nell’opera di Bianchi la tecnica, esaltata anche sotto il profilo di una rinascimentale abilità
artigiana, è strumento di lettura del reale, mezzo specifico di confronto con le grandi
tradizioni culturali (anche non occidentali). L’artista è il caposcuola dei “Nuovi Primitivi”.
Ha fondato su internet la prima Repubblica degli artisti.

BIOGRAPHY
It is not easy to introduce Vincenzo Bianchi because of his versatile activity that touches all
visual arts, from painting to sculpture, from graphics to video-art and graphic techniques; any
plastic, material and materialising means is congenial to him and now he takes us by surprise with the use of the laser beam. He has been the first to test it not only on traditional
materials, such as marble, iron, etc, but even on slabs and tablets, as it were a burin, creating
ipso facto either the very thin incision of the etching or the heavier and thicker mark of the
poker-work.
Bianchi's most important works of art are dedicated to a theme that has always fascinated
mankind: peace and brotherhood among peoples.
Bianchi is the author of the monument to Europe "The new lcarus", whose message for a
united Europe was perfectly stressed by the President of the European Parliament Henry
Plumb, on the occasion of his visit to receive this work of art in Frosinone.
The President of the European Parliament Henry Plumb wrote: "Your name, Mr
Bianchi, will be linked forever to that group of wise men who dared to launch the
courageous message for a united Europe when it was still divided and lived on the
memory of wounds and blood. I congratulate you on your sculptural work of art that
seems to cover the space of a boundless future."
The work of art "The door of brotherhood ex Libro Pacis" is the result of a deep reading of the
invisible "Strength of Love" which allows people from all walks of life, with a different cultural
background and language to work together to build "the big house of peace".
Another monumental work, "The door of light ex Libro Pacis", was introduced on the
occasion of the world conference of the "Sister Cities International", when 1200 twinned cities
from all over the world met in the city of Lexington in Kentucky.
The model has been donated to the Columbus Day museum.
"The column of brotherhood" is the symbol of the twinning between the town of Subiaco and
Ochenhausen in Germany, that took place in the name of St Benedict, the patron of Europe.
The model of this work and that of the monument dedicated to St Benedict that will be erected
with a new church on the Mount Livata, were blessed by the Pope during the general hearing
of April the 5th 1993. "This work - explained the Abbot of Subiaco Monsignor Stanislao
Andreotti - sets the seal on the message of peace and unity for the Christian Europe
proclaimed by St Benedict".
It has to be underlined that a remarkable work, the first to be dedicated to the theme of
Peace, has been carried out in Cervara di Roma. In this tiny jewel of the Mounts Simbruini,
where the artist had already founded the "Museum of the European Mountain for Peace in
the World through Art", whose manifesto was signed by the Nobel Prize Carlo Rubbia, and
where skilful students of the Academy of the Fine Arts of Florence, under Master Bianchi's
guidance, have left their sculptures along the Steps of the Artists, there is a unique work of
art "The rock ex Libro Pacis". Images, faces, anthropomorphic figures, boasted feelings
have emerged, with patient and silent labour, out of a big limestone set among walls ands
roofs. It is the first page of a carved book dedicated to peace.
All Vincenzo Bianchi's innovative creativity is confirmed by his unusual teaching career,
which has allowed him to experiment skilfully all the most advanced graphic, sculptural,
pictorial techniques. After starting his teaching career in the Professional Industrial
schools, the artist has taught in the Junior School, in the Senior High School
specialising in technical education, then in the Senior High School specialising in artistic
education, finally in the Academies of the Fine Arts of Catanzaro, Frosinone, Urbino, first
as an assistant then as a tenured professor of painting and sculpture. Appointed Director of
the Academy of the Fine Arts of Macerata, he held the first chair of sculpture of the
Academy of the Fine Arts in Florence till 2006.
Bianchi has carried out the big sculpture for the European Parliament of
Strasbourg "... The new lcarus..." - whose models have been given to the
Museum of the Polish Parliament, to the Nobel Prize the first minister Shimon Perez, to the
president of the lsraeli Parliament Chain Herzog - and the Mountain of Europe dedicated to

Master Bianchi has given the silver model of the monum e n t
. . . P e a c e . . . F a i t h . . . P r o g r e s s . . . d e d i c a t e d t o t h e sacrifice at
work in the world carried out for the section ANMIL of Frosinone to the Nobel Prize for
Peace Michail Gorbaciov who has adopted it as the logo of his prestigious association.
The same model has been given to the Mayor of Skopje in Macedonia and to the pro
tempore President of the Region Lazio Mr Badaloni.
In 1998 and in 2000 Bianchi was invited to the International Poetry Award of
Struga, the capital of poetry, in Macedonia; on this occasion the Committee
commissioned the translation of fifty of his poetic thoughts in Macedonian language
and he was honoured to read one of his poems on the stage built on the river Drin.
He was invited by the President of the big Japanese organisation, the Fujiankei Group, to
propose a programme for the year 2001, that Japan wanted to dedicate to Italy, which
took place in the biggest open air museum of the world "The Hakone Open Air
Museum".
The artist has carried out in Jordan on the Mount Nebo where Moses died a sculpture 5.5
metres high dedicated to the " People's Book ".
On the occasion of the Pope's journey to the Holy Land Vincenzo Bianchi has carried
out the ambo for the Church of the Flagellation in Jerusalem and two medals which have
been handed out to the Pope, one at the beginning of His journey on the Mount Nebo
and the other at the end of it, in the cave of Bethlehem.
In 1998 in a general hearing Bianchi was received by the Pope John Paul Il and he gave
Him the "Rock of the Mountain of Europe for Peace".
The same work has been given to the President of the Italian Republic Oscar Luigi
Scalfaro by the mayor of Cervara di Roma together with the Macedonian delegation.

As mentioned before, Vincenzo Bianchi has been the first to work with the laser beam and
to study all its possible effects and applications in the difficult field of the visual arts. What
strikes us most is his imaginative reasoning and the charming themes that he deals with.
Leader of the movement of the “New Primitives”, he carried out a great exposition in the
Museum of the Abbey of Casamari whose theme was “. . . Energy... Light... Shape... “. His
time and his space come “... From the genesis .... to the horrid....” , “From energy to
matter”, from the rhythmic joint of the ... gesture-sign-symbol..., from “The fall of the
Angel”, “From the Earth to the Cosmos”, “From the Gesture to the Sign... from the Symbol
to the Power...” “From the Hominid to the Homo Sapiens”.. . “Itinerarium in Mente Hominis”
(Subiaco), “The Time of the mark, the Mark of Time” (Fiuggi), “ ....Art ... Religion...Science’
(Subiaco).
He has inaugurated a new canon of reading Art, where everything is settled with all kinds
of means, not least the gold and silver embossing.
But the new Primitives’ world does not seem to know bounds and it is right since Time and
Space have no bounds and human mind is so rich of inexhaustible imagination as to
overcome any bound, to enter the fourth dimension where the criterion of reading is the
new alphabet of intelligence.
This is the source of Bianchi’s works “From the fetishism to the sacred”, “The door of
Light”, “Icarus”, “The door of Brotherhood”, “Ex Libro Pacis”, rich in symbolism and images,
which have led him to feel the desire to found a school “The Stoa” where it is possible to
teach like in the past, where the teacher and the student were all the same, in perfect
symbiosis and harmony with history.

Vincenzo Bianchi's latest efforts have been the projection on a mount of the Ciociaria,
precisely in Fontana Liri, his native town, of a laser show "...The crystal mountain..." and for
the first time an exhibition of laser works, a perfect symbiosis of painting and sculpture "...
When the masks dream of being angels...".
Vincenzo Bianchi's artistic and teaching activity is a continuous and incessant search for
truth, harmony, communion among peoples.
His works are an unconditioned representation of the human being.
Bianchi's activity ranges over all the visual arts: sculpture - painting - engraving ceramics - graphics - photography - stage designing - laser graphics.
Vincenzo Bianchi was born in Fontana Liri (FR) the 28.05.1939.
He lives in Isola del Liri. He is the director of the Museum of Ancient and Modern Art in
Casamari. He has taught sculpture at the Academies of the Fine Arts of Catanzaro,
Frosinone, Urbino. He has run the Academy of Macerata, and was professor of
Sculpture at the Academy of the Fine Arts in Florence till 2006.
He has achieved important prizes and acknowledgements in Italy and in many foreign
countries:

He has exhibited his works in Japan, Australia, Canada, USA, Tunisia, Mexico,
France, Egypt, Yugoslavia, Greece, Switzerland, Macedonia, Argentina.
He has also spent a lot of periods of artistic research in Germany, Poland,
Russia, Israel, Turkey, Spain, Holland, England, Jordan, Hungary, Romania,
Bulgaria, Siria, Mongolia and Cina. He is particularly known in the field of
sculpture, but he is also excellent in painting and graphic arts.
In Bianchi’s work the technique, exalted also by a Renaissanc-like
craftsmanship, is a means for interpreting reality and a specific way of
confronting grand cultural traditions (not only the Western ones).
He is the leader of the movement called “The New Primitives”.
He has founded the first Republic of the artists on the internet.
