Cosa vuol dire FinTech e perché è importante
All'incrocio fra finanza e tecnologia
emerge un fenomeno che sta
accelerando il ritmo dei
cambiamenti e rimodellando lo
status quo del settore - si chiama
FinTech.
Le FinTech (start-up e nuovi operatori del
mercato) innovano i prodotti e i servizi
attualmente forniti dagli operatori
tradizionali con effetto disruptive
sulla catena del valore tradizionale.
FinTech non solo startup: un ecosistema
complesso

PwC
28
Public Blockchains (Bitcoin, Ethereum) provides a
near-free PKI infrastructure and computational
resource for low-transaction-volume
Both features are the swiss-knife needed to redesign some security processes
PwC
29
Strong Authentication process using Bitcoin
Blockchain to issue users’ keys and its PKI Infrastructure to
authenticate them
Replace OTP Devices with the same security level, cheaper process and without the
needs to manage RSA tokens or trust third party services like Google Authenticator.
PwC
30
Federated Digital Identity system using Ethereum
Smart Contract to enrol IDP and Users, its PKI Infrastructure
to authenticate Users and Whisper protocol to provide Users’ information
Users’ information are not stored on the Blockchain.
The concept may enable new business model for both IDP – selling users data – and SP
– providing better Customer Experience leveraging users’ data.
PwC
31
Additional Use Cases
Shared Repository of known customers with AML

calculations for Syndicate Loans and allow different
creditors to participate on the pricing process.
Blockchain
PoC
Analyse Cryptocurrencies Blockchain to
provide intelligence insights on customer’s
illegal behaviours

Develop Business Case where IoT device can be
automatically managed by SmartContracts on
Blockchain (i.e. Hotellerie, Security Boxes, etc)
Create a single authoritative source of information about
customer’s payments in order to provide a ratings on their
payment behaviour and evaluate credit risks.
