Christmas show Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer
Consigli per la realizzazione della recita La preparazione di una recita richiede almeno un mese di tempo. La recita è divisa in due atti. In ogni atto trovano spazio una decina di attori. I personaggi della recita sono caratterizzati da particolari dettagli o travestimenti (naso rosso, corna di cartone, vestito da Babbo Natale, pigiama e orsetto per I bambini che aspettano Babbo Natale), quindi se fra il primo ed il secondo atto gli attori cambiano, il pubblico non sarà disorientato e tutti gli alunni avranno modo di recitare. Ci sono tre cambi di scena: da Polo Nord a Londra, poi di nuovo Polo Nord ed inine a New York. Noi abbiamo realizzato il cambio scena con un coperchio di una lavagna interattiva. Alla base abbiamo incollato inte scatole regalo, in modo da farlo stare in piedi. Da un lato si disegna un paesaggio polare, dall'altro un paesaggio cittadino. Poi cambiando alcuni dettagli (poster della città, cartello di benvenuto con il nome della città) l'altro lato può essere il setting di Londra prima e New York poi. Mentre le renne cantano e trascinano la slitta, un paio di alunni eseguono il cambio scena ruotando il grande cartellone. Il naso rosso di Rudolph generalmente si trova a poco prezzo, anche I cerchietti con le corna da renna. Si possono anche fare di cartone, ritagliando una specie di corona da mettere in testa. Non sottovalutate la fatica di tagliare un materiale piuttosto duro La slitta si ricava da uno scatolone colorato e sagomato, in cui si inilano due manici di scopa. Il passeggero entra nello scatolone, le “renne” si mettono in ila davanti e dietro, tenendo in mano I manici di scopa a cui si annodano corde simili a briglie. Il gruppo forma quindi una “cordata” piuttosto scenograica. Naturalmente ogni insegnante potrà immaginare modi diversi e migliori per realizzare I cambi di scena. Spesso sono poi gli alunni a suggerire ottime soluzioni. Molto importante collocare nel setting “North pole” un orologio ed un calendario (con solo i giorni indicati dalla recita): gli attori che devono recitare le parti con date ed orari renderanno comprensibili le loro battute anche agli spettatori più giovani. Nel copione non è determinato il giorno (monday, tuesday...)ma solo la data (23 e 24 dicembre) in modo da poterla utilizzare in anni diversi. Completate controllando sul calendario Il gruppo che non recita attende in scena il suo turno, seduto intorno al palco. Behind a “house” two children in pyjamas hide, waiting for Santa Claus Dasher here we are...half past eleven.. this is London . Dancer yes, rainy and cold Prancer here we are, this is the house…. knock, knock Child Father Christmas! the reindeer!! my present!! Vixen your present? wait. Are you a good boy? Child yes, I am very good Cupid do you study at school? Child Yes I do, I study every day Donnen do you brush your teeth every evening? Child Yes I do! I brush my teeth every evening blitzen do you go to bed at nine o’ clock? Little girl Yes I do. I go to sleep at a quarter to nine!! The actors of the first group sit and the children of the second group stand up during the song. Now the setting is North Pole again Scene two scene two: North pole Santa claus and the reindeer are preparing the sleigh and the presents Santa Claus good morning reidneer. it’s half past eight Dasher today it’s …………….day Dancer …………...day the twenty fourth, Prancer Christmas eve, tomorrow it’s Christmas Vixen we have presents for…New York!! Cupid New York is far!! Miles and miles and miles and miles, across the ocean Donner and it’s cold and..foggy Blitzen we are scared of the fog Dasher we can’t see Dancer it’s dangerous Prancer I don’t want to knock against a wall Vixen I don’t want to fall down Cupid I don’t want to go Rudolph But… my nose is shiny! i can guide the sleigh!
