Event Presentation
Over the past years cardiovascular sciences
have undergone a tremendous evolution.
Treatments which were unthinkable in the past,
like solving valve regurgitation without opening
the patient’s chest, supporting the cardiac
function by means of artificial devices, or
“reprogramming” the heart to beat at its
physiological rhythm are now real treatment
options that improve Patients’ outcomes.
Moreover, boundaries between cardiac
specialties are becoming less and less defined,
as the Professional in the cardiac domain has to
be increasingly familiar with different types of
approaches and be ready to offer different
treatment alternatives to his or her Patients.
In this new environment, cardiologists, cardiac
surgeons, arrythmologists, vascular surgeons
not only work together, but also are increasingly
familiar with each other’s techniques and
perform procedures which may have been
considered outside of their own specialty in the
past.
With this in mind and faithful to its mission to
improve patient outcomes and spread medical
knowledge, We have the the pleasure of inviting
Colleagues from all cardiac specialties to an
interactive two-day event, focused on the
interdisciplinary approach in cardiac treatments.
The event is specially designed to showcase
how to tackle structural and functional cardiac
disease by bringing together cardiologists,
cardiac surgeons, cardiac imaging specialists,
vascular
surgeons,
electrophysiologists,
interventionalists and researchers.
The event will be structured in a first day of
formal
presentations
and
case-based
discussions, and a second day of hands-on
workshops where the attendees will practically
experience different specialty approaches
through animal and simulated models. The
event will be ECM-accredited.
Presentazione Evento
Negli ultimi anni le scienze cardiovascolari
hanno subito un enorme evoluzione.
Trattamenti impensabili in passato, come
risolvere rigurgito della valvola senza aprire il
torace del paziente, che supporta la funzione
cardiaca per mezzo di dispositivi artificiali, o
"riprogrammazione" il cuore a battere al suo
ritmo fisiologico ora sono le opzioni di
trattamento reali che migliorano i risultati dei
pazienti. Inoltre, i confini tra specialità
cardiache sono sempre meno definite, il
professionista dell’area cardiaca deve essere
sempre più familiare con diversi tipi di approcci
e pronto ad offrire diverse alternative di
trattamento per i suoi pazienti.
In questo nuovo ambiente, cardiologi,
cardiochirurghi, chirurghi vascolari
elettrofisiologi cardiaci, non solo lavorano
insieme, ma anche sono sempre più familiari
con le tecniche di ciascuno e possono
eseguire procedure che possono essere state
considerate al di fuori della loro
specializzazione in passato.
Con questo in mente e fedele alla sua
missione di migliorare i risultati dei pazienti e
diffondere conoscenze mediche, abbiamo il
piacere di invitare i colleghi di tutte le specialità
cardiache ad un evento di due giorni
interattivo, incentrato sulla approccio
interdisciplinare nei trattamenti cardiaci.
L'evento è stato appositamente progettato per
mostrare come affrontare la malattia cardiaca
strutturale e funzionale riunendo cardiologi,
cardiochirurghi, specialisti di imaging cardiaco,
chirurghi vascolari, elettrofisiologi, interventionalists e ricercatori.
L'evento sarà strutturato in una prima giornata
di presentazioni formali e discussioni a base di
casi, e una seconda giornata di workshop
hands-on, dove i partecipanti potranno
sperimentare praticamente specialità diversi
approcci attraverso modelli simulati animali e.
L'evento sarà ECM accreditati.

Mattia Glauber is the Director of Adult
Cardiac Surgery at the Sant’Ambrogio
Clinic in Milan. From 1999 to 2014 he was
Director of the Cardiothoracic Department
of the Monasterio Foundation, affiliated
with the CNR of Italy, having the
opportunity to work with ingenious and
researchers in different fields of medical
areas.
He is nowadays considered a International
Key opinion Leader in Minimal Invasive
Cardiac Surgery with more than 3500
minimal invasive surgical interventions.
He is author and coauthors of more than
250 peer-reviewed papers (*). He is
currently member of different Societies
(SICCH, ANMCO, EACTS, AATS, STS,
ESC) and was Scientific Secretary of the
SICCH. He is Associate Editor of the
Journal of Cardiothoracic Surgery and
MMCTS, and part of the Editorial board of
Innovations and TJTCS.
He is consultant for several medical
companies and he is Director of a II° level
Master on Innovation in Cardiac Surgery at
the “Scuola Superiore S.Anna” University
of Pisa.
During his career he contributes to several
cardiac surgery innovations being author of
5 patents.

Mattia Glauber è il direttore di Chirurgia
cardiaca per adulti presso la clinica
Sant'Ambrogio a Milano. Dal 1999-2014 è
stato Direttore del Dipartimento CardioToracico della Fondazione Monasterio,
affiliata con il CNR di Italia, avere
l'opportunità di lavorare con genialità con
ricercatori in diversi campi delle aree
sanitarie.
E’ considerato oggi un Opinion Leader
chiave a livello Internazionale nella
Chirurgia Mini Invasiva, con più di 3500
interventi chirurgici mini-invasivi.
E 'autore e co-autori di più di 250 articoli
peer-reviewed (*).
Attualmente è membro della Società
diverse (SICCH, ANMCO, EACTS, AAT,
STS, ESC) ed è stato Segretario Scientifico
della SICCH. E 'Associate Editor del
Journal of Chirurgia cardiotoracica e
MMCTS, e parte del comitato editoriale di
Innovazioni e TJTCS.
E 'consulente per diverse aziende mediche
ed è direttore di un livello di Master di II °
dell'innovazione in Cardiochirurgia presso
la "Scuola Superiore S.Anna" dell'Università di Pisa.
Durante la sua carriera contribuisce a
diverse innovazioni cardiaco chirurgico
autore di 5 brevetti.
