UNFORGETTABLE CHRISTMAS
IN TORINO
Another year with a magical Christmas atmosphere in the streets and
squares of Torino, illuminated by the “Luci d’Artista”. From December
1st in Piazza Castello the opening of the boxes of the Advent Calendar
accompanied by a majestic Christmas tree; the famous Nativity Scene
by Emanuele Luzzati will be in place from 8 December at the Medieval
Village and on 31 December Piazza San Carlo will be the location
for the New Year’s Eve celebrations; don’t miss also the historical
mechanical Nativity of Ss. Annunziata in Via Po. And then initiatives all
over the city offering a set of typical Christmas events.

THE DREAM OF CHRISTMAS
The headquarters of Santa Claus on 17,000 square meters: the elves,
the hall of the ancestors, the post office, the factory of toys, the
“garage” of the sled with reindeer, the ice rink, the streetfood, artists
and internationally renowned jugglers; over forty circus and musical
performances such as the eagerly awaited “Santa Claus Circus Show”
with hula-hoop, aerial silks, roue cyr, free ladder and “Born to be
Circus”, the pop acrobatic cabaret.

Exhibition enhancing the human and artistic/architectural heritage
permeating Ivrea: 15 works of young Sicilian Paolo Amico, made with
different techniques. For 10 of them the artist has used his traditional
technique, overlapping small strokes that recall the glazing of the
ancients; one was produced with five pens positioned simultaneously
in one hand, obtaining a more pictorial effect, and four with the
typewriter, in particular using the key representing the letter “O”.
The event also hosts the video “Shapes” by Francesco Mattuzzi,
presented in 2012 at the Venezia Biennale, which celebrates the
beauty of Olivetti architecture in a mode that combines visual and
musical dimension.

The best athletes of the “white circus” back in Sestriere - one of
the ski resort that hosted more races of the Alpine Ski World Cup,
including the first nighttime race of the history - challenging the
stopwatch along the slopes of Mount Sises in the giant slalom and
special. It will be a great feast of sport and entertainment open to
everyone: the program, in fact, also plans thematic aperitifs, après
