La foro risale al 1800 e descrive compiutamente la realtà del mondo rurale
dell'epoca.
Povertà e dignità. L'asino, nella cultura contadina calabrese, rappresentava
lo strumento di lavoro.
Veniva utilizzato per arare i campi, per trasportare persone e cose.
Era, per chi lo, possedeva una ricchezza.

La foto rappresenta un vecchio pastore che, insieme a suo figlio giovane,
pascola le mucche nei campi.
La pastorizia, nel nostro territorio, ma in tutta la Calabria, ha
rappresentato nei secoli scorsi una importante attività.
Si può notare che la pastorizia veniva praticata in terreni impervi, dove
non era possibile coltivare il terreno.

meccanizzazione dell'agricoltura.
Alla trebbiatura partecipavano molti contadini, ai quali veniva assegnato un
compito preciso.

L'attività veniva fatta con le armi, che, come si vede nella foto, venivano sfoggiate con spavalderia.
