Cambiare tutto affinché nulla cambi? Potrebbe essere veramente appropriato quest’anno per
il Congresso GISE, come dire squadra che vince non si cambia! Quindi siete invitati a questa
annuale riunione dei cardiologi interventisti italiani, che sarà ancora una volta ospitata a Bologna e presenterà un mix di esperti, reportage sulle tecniche più avanzate, accesi dibattiti e
sentite cerimonie di premiazione. Sicuramente il filo conduttore del Congresso di quest’anno
saranno le tre I: “improvement, innovation, and involvement” (miglioramento, innovazione,
coinvolgimento).
Al Congresso GISE potrete confrontarvi con i temi principali della ricerca scientifica ed anche
frequentare sessioni di insegnamento pratico come i “Live Cases” proiettati da tutta Italia (Catanzaro, Milano, Napoli, Padova, Parma e Torino sono le località scelte per la presentazione di
casi didattici coronarici, cardiaci e periferici) oppure seguire pregevoli “State of the Art Lectures”
dei più importanti opinionisti nazionali e internazionali. Nuove e coinvolgenti sessioni, introdotte già dal 2008, come “Great Debates”, “Flash Debates” e “Educational Fellowship Course in
PCI for young Interventionalist”, riempiranno sicuramente ancora le sale. Non mancheranno
comunque le novità tra cui i “Clinical Crossroads”, dove una situazione clinica trasposta direttamente dall’esperienza reale sarà discussa secondo tutti i pro e i contro offerti dalle alternative
di trattamento. O ancora le “Complication Sessions” consacrate alla descrizione dettagliata su
incidenza, predittori e gestione delle complicanze durante gli interventi coronarici, cardiaci e
periferici.
Data la rilevante e fruttuosa partecipazione di cardiologi, infermieri e tecnici, il Congresso GISE
2009 prevederà separati e comuni percorsi educazionali, con lo scopo di creare per ogni
figura professionale un curriculum personalizzato adattato ai propri bisogni. Ciononostante
vogliamo incoraggiare una partecipazione unitaria nei “Live Cases” previsti dal programma
perché essi rappresentano ormai da molti anni uno dei momenti più cruciali e sentiti di tutto
il Congresso.
I giovani cardiologi interventisti avranno poi ancora l’occasione di constatare che GISE si prende cura di loro. L’“Educational Fellowship Course in PCI for Young Interventionalist”, realizzato in
collaborazione con l’American Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) e l’European Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), vorrà essere ancora
una volta un corso accurato e focalizzato ad accrescere la parabola formativa e rinnovare le
conoscenze. Inoltre, tutti i colleghi, sia giovani che anziani, potranno beneficiare delle “Clinical
Case Presentations” dove partecipanti selezionati avranno il privilegio di presentare e discutere apertamente in sessione plenaria i loro casi più interessanti sottolineando tutti gli aspetti
tecnici e non.
In conclusione, siamo certi che il Congresso GISE 2009 riuscirà certamente a suscitare l’interesse e a costituire occasione di aggiornamento per i cardiologi invasivi italiani.

Changing everything to change nothing? It might indeed be appropriate this year at the GISE
Congress, as a winning team should never be changed altogether! Thus, you are invited for
this year’s national meeting of Italian invasive cardiologists, which will be again hosted in Bologna and will provide a mix of expert advice, coverage of advanced techniques, heated debates and moving award ceremonies. Indeed, the buzzwords of this year Congress will be again
the 3 “I”: improvement, innovation, and involvement.
At the GISE Congress you will find plenty of main stream activities and sound scientific and
practical learning sessions, including more Live Cases from all over Italy (Catanzaro, Milan,
Naples, Padua, Parma, and Turin are the chosen locations for coronary, cardiac and peripheral teaching cases), and major State of the Art Lectures from national and international opinion
leaders. New and involving programs and sessions introduced in 2008 will again find plenty
of room, such as the Great Debates, the Flash Debates, and the Educational Fellowship Course
in PCI for young Interventionalist. Novelties are not lacking however, and include the dedicated
Clinical Crossroads sections in which a real-world clinical vignette is exploited to discuss pros
and cons of alternative management strategies, and the Complications sessions, devoted to
detailed coverage of incidence, predictors and management for complications occurring during coronary, cardiac, and peripheral interventions.
Given the relevant and fruitful participation of cardiologists as well as nurses and technicians,
the 2009 GISE Congress will provide shared and separate educational pathways, enabling
each health care professional to create an individualized educational curriculum, tailored to
his or her own needs. We will nonetheless encourage joint participation in the Live Cases of
all those attending the GISE Congress, as such cases represent since several years one of the
most crucial and moving moments of the whole congress.
Young interventional cardiologists will again find that GISE has really taken care of them. The
Educational Fellowship Course in PCI for Young Interventionalist, developed in collaboration
with the American Society for Cardiac Angiography and Interventions (SCAI) and the European
Association of Percutaneous Cardiovascular Interventions (EAPCI), will continue to provide a
focused yet thorough course for those still in their learning curve or wishing for a knowledge
refreshment. Moreover, both junior and senior colleagues will benefit from ad hoc Clinical
Case Presentations in which selected participants will have the privilege to present and openly
discuss their most interesting cases in a plenary session, with an emphasis on all technical and
non-technical issues.
In conclusion, we are positive that the 2009 GISE Congress will be a successful means to educate and entertain Italian invasive cardiologists and allied health care professionals keeping a
strict focus on the 3 “I”: innovation, improvement, and involvement!

HOW TO GET TO THE CONGRESS VENUE
By air: International Airport Guglielmo Marconi, 7 km from Congress venue (about 15 min by taxi).
By train: The main railway station in Bologna is a few minutes from Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi, and it is linked by buses no. 10, 35 and 38.
By auto: Motorways A1, A13, A14, from the ring road exit n. 7 (Via Stalingrado) direction city centre of Bologna.

Please contact the Organising Secretariat for further information about costs and access to the
big parking area near the Congress Venue.
SHUTTLE SERVICE
A shuttle service will be available from October 20th to 23rd, connecting the Congress Venue to
all the hotels booked through the Organising Secretariat, in the morning before the opening of
the Congress and in the afternoon after the end of the scientific sessions (see page XXI for time

L’iscrizione è gratuita e l’iniziativa è sostenuta dai Major Sponsors del congresso: Abbott
Vascular, Cordis, Daiichi-Sankyo/Eli Lilly, Iroko, Medtronic, Sanofi-aventis/BristolMyers Squibb, Terumo.
Il progetto ha un accreditamento ECM dedicato e si svolgerà nei giorni 20, 21 e 22 ottobre,
con sessioni nelle quali verranno trattati argomenti di interesse primario per il cardiologo interventista (cfr. pag. XXIV ). La partecipazione è riservata a n. 250 discenti selezionati secondo
i seguenti criteri di ammissione: Dottorandi, Specializzandi, Borsisti e Cardiologi interventisti in
formazione di età inferiore ai 40 anni.
L’iscrizione on site, subordinata all’iscrizione al Congresso, sarà possibile salvo disponibilità
e dietro rilascio dei dati anagrafici con copia del documento di identità ed indicazioni della
Struttura presso cui si sta svolgendo il dottorato e/o la specializzazione.
Gli iscritti al Fellowship Course avranno un coupon per l’ingresso in sala, da mostrare insieme al badge.
BADGE E ATTESTATO DI PARTECIPAZIONE
È assolutamente indispensabile indossare il badge sia per accedere alla sede congressuale
che per usufruire dei servizi offerti dal Congresso.
Il badge deve essere staccato dal kit personale ed inserito nell’apposita bustina in plastica

Registration is mandatory for participation in the scientific sessions and for all oral,
poster and clinical case presenters.
REGISTRATION IN THE FELLOWSHIP COURSE
Certified Training Course (EAPCI, SCAI, GISE)
Registration is free and supported by the Major Sponsors of the Congress: Abbott Vascular, Cordis, Daiichi-Sankyo/Eli Lilly, Iroko, Medtronic, Sanofi-aventis/Bristol-Myers
Squibb, Terumo.
The Course will have a separate CME application and will be held on October 20th , 21st and
22nd, with different sessions that will be focused on high interest themes for the young interventional cardiologist (see page XXV).
Participation is limited to 250 young cardiologists, selected according to strict criteria: Residents
in training, Fellows, Young interventional cardiologists in training, Scholars not older than 40
years.
On site registrations (for participants registered in the Congress) will be possible according to
availability: an ID or passport copy along with information about the training institute must be
supplied upon application.
Each participant registered in the Fellowship Course will have a coupon to be shown
along with personal name badge for entrance.
BADGES AND CERTIFICATE OF ATTENDANCE
Each participant will receive a badge upon registration. Please detach the badge, insert it in
the plastic holder and wear it at all times in order to gain entry into the congress area. Badges
are colour-coded as follows:

Use of mobile phone is noisy in the meeting rooms and participants are kindly requested to

La mancanza di momenti di pausa all’interno del Programma Scientifico non ha permesso
l’organizzazione dei coffee-breaks. Saranno quindi disponibili distributori automatici di acqua

Nell’ambito del Congresso, a partire dalle ore 10.30 di martedì 20 ottobre, si svolgerà un’esposizione di prodotti farmaceutici e diagnostici, apparecchiature elettromedicali e pubblicazioni
scientifiche.
CENA SOCIALE
La cena sociale si terrà mercoledì 21 ottobre 2009 alle ore 20.30 a Bologna presso il Palazzo Re
Enzo. La partecipazione alla serata è riservata agli iscritti al Congresso, ma con numero chiuso. I partecipanti dovranno convertire personalmente l’invito alla cena nel biglietto
di ingresso presso il desk Programma Sociale della Segreteria Organizzativa OIC
entro le ore 17.00 di martedì 20 ottobre. Le richieste saranno accettate sulla base
del “first come first served”, fino ad esaurimento dei posti disponibili.
L’ingresso alla cena sarà consentito soltanto dietro presentazione del biglietto d’ingresso.

A trade show exhibition, located at the Palazzo della Cultura e dei Congressi, will be held starting from 10.30 on October 20th till the end of the Congress.
It will feature pharmaceutical and electromedical equipment companies, medical publishers
and scientific societies.
SOCIAL DINNER
The GISE Social Dinner will be held in Bologna at the Palazzo Re Enzo, on Wednesday, October 21st, 2009 at 20.30. Participation in the dinner is included in the Congress registration fee
but reserved for a limited number of participants. Invitations must be exchanged in the
entrance ticket at the Social Programme Desk of the Organizing Secretariat OIC,
before Tuesday, October 20th h. 17.00. Please note that all requests will be accepted
under the principle of “first come first served”.
Entry to the dinner venue will be allowed only upon presentation of the entrance
ticket.

Nelle sessioni plenarie verranno tenuti simposi dedicati agli argomenti più significativi di interesse per il cardiologo interventista.
SPAZI AZIENDALI
Chi ci supporta in questo Congresso ha fatto uno sforzo notevole. I simposi aziendali hanno
una totale autonomia di scelte e di gestione ma sono completamente integrati nel programma scientifico del Congresso. Argomenti e formati diversi per dare a ciascuno la possibilità di
scegliere, secondo stimoli ed attitudini, il tutto preceduto da un box lunch per avere un attimo
di respiro prima di ripartire con un programma intenso.

SLIDE CENTRE
All meeting rooms are equipped only with a computer slide projector, whereas neither traditional slides nor overhead projectors for transparencies are available. It will be not possible to
use personal laptops in the meeting rooms, unless previously authorized by the Organising
Secretariat.
Speakers are kindly requested to use PowerPoint for Windows or Apple Mac. The use of CDRom, pen or memory stick is advisable to easily download the presentations.
Speakers with Powerpoint presentation on CD rom or pen and memory stick: please
report to the Slide Centre at least 1 hour before the presentation.

Posters have to be put up in the appropriate numbered space in the Poster Area by the Authors. They must be put up on October 20th from 10.30 to 13.30 and will remain until October

- Wednesday 21st October from 13.00 to 13.30
- Thursday 22rd October from 13.00 to 13.30
The author is kindly requested to attend the poster during discussion. Double side tape will be
supplied by the Organising Secretariat to fix the poster to the poster board.
The Organising Secretariat is not responsible for those posters that are not removed at the
end of the Congress.
MAIN SESSIONS
Main sessions will be held every morning and will focus on the main interesting topics for the
interventional cardiologist.
SPONSORED SYMPOSIA
Sponsoring companies are making a big effort for the congress. Sponsored Symposia are
autonomously organized and handled, but completely integrated in the scientific programme
of the congress. Different topics and formats will give the opportunity to everyone to pick and
choose, according to different attitudes and incentives. A box lunch will be offered by industries
before the beginning of the intensive scientific programme.

INFORMAZIONI SCIENTIFICHE
LIVE SESSIONS
Sono, come sempre, il cuore del Congresso, con qualche novità. Innanzitutto sarà una vera
sessione plenaria: medici, infermieri e tecnici condivideranno la stessa esperienza per avere
una piattaforma di conoscenza comune. In ciascun panel di commento dei casi dal vivo ci sarà
un interventista straniero di primo piano ed un tecnico od un infermiere, per poter commentare
alcuni aspetti non medici fondamentali nel lavoro di un team. Quest’anno per la prima volta i
casi dal vivo si svolgeranno anche l’ultimo giorno del Congresso coinvolgendo centri ad altissima esperienza sull’interventistica cardiaca non coronarica. Sei centri selezionati alterneranno
casi in diretta di interventistica coronarica e periferica, oltre ad una speciale sessione il venerdì
dedicata alle valvole, il tutto in relazione con i principali temi che verranno discussi durante
il Congresso, offrendo spunti per un dibattito serrato. Qualità, interazione con chi guarda e
discussione aperta sulle scelte fatte o da fare sono gli elementi caratterizzanti dei casi dal vivo.

Corso di scrittura di articoli scientifici in Cardiologia Interventistica
è una delle novità del Congresso di quest’anno. Si tratta di un corso di scrittura articolato su 3
giorni. Nelle varie sessioni interverranno prestigiosi “speakers” anche internazionali che guideranno i partecipanti attraverso un percorso sistematico che nell’arco delle tre giornate li porterà
a perfezionare le tecniche di scrittura di abstract e manoscritti. I partecipanti saranno resi edotti
su come poter presentare e pubblicare al meglio i risultati della loro ricerca scientifica. Non è
prevista la traduzione simultanea. La partecipazione sarà riservata a n. 150 discenti regolarmente iscritti al Congresso. Il corso si svolgerà nei giorni 20, 21 e 22 ottobre grazie al contributo
educazionale non condizionante di Pfizer.
EDUCATIONAL FELLOWSHIP COURSE
Corso per giovani cardiologi interventisti certificato da EAPCI, SCAI, GISE
Anche per questa edizione, il programma per i Giovani Cardiologi Interventisti coprirà gli argomenti più importanti della Cardiologia Invasiva, con interventi a cura di prestigiosi “speakers”
selezionati all’interno delle tre società.
Il progetto avrà un accreditamento ECM dedicato e si svolgerà nei giorni 20, 21 e 22 ottobre,
ogni giorno con sessioni diverse così da permettere un percorso formativo globale. Il materiale didattico sarà raccolto in CD-Rom che saranno successivamente inviati a tutti i partecipanti
del Corso. Non è prevista la traduzione simultanea.
La partecipazione è riservata a n. 250 discenti selezionati secondo i seguenti criteri di ammissione:
- Dottorandi, Specializzandi, Borsisti, Cardiologi Interventisti in formazione di età inferiore ai 40 anni.

SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION
LIVE SESSIONS
They are, as usual, the core of the Congress introducing this year some innovations. First of
all, they will be real plenary sessions: physicians, nurses and technicians will share the same
experiences to have a common know-how basis. Each panel will deal with live cases comments involving an eminent foreign interventional cardiologist together with a technician or a
nurse to discuss some important features of team working going beyond medical aspects.
This year for the first time live cases are also on the last day of the Congress and will involve
high experienced laboratories in cardiac non coronary interventions. Six selected centres will
present live cases of coronary and peripheral interventional cardiology, in addition to a special
session on Friday dedicated to valve implantation, according with the main topics that will be
treated during the Congress, giving rise to an interesting debate. High debate quality, interaction with the audience and open discussion about the choices made or to be decided are the
main features of the live sessions. We wish to express the best gratitude to the sponsors for

How to develop effective abstracts and manuscripts in Interventional
Cardiology: 3 Days Course
This is new special session of the congress. A 3 days course on how to develop effective abstracts and manuscripts in Interventional Cardiology. Outstanding speakers, including international ones, will lead participants in a systematic path to improve abstracts and manuscripts
writing. Participants will also learn how to present and publish results of their scientific research
at best. No simultaneous translation will be provided. Participation is limited to 150 people, regularly registered in the congress. The course will be held on October 20th, 21st and 22nd, thanks
to an unrestricted educational grant of Pfizer.
EDUCATIONAL FELLOWSHIP IN PCI FOR YOUNG INTERVENTIONALISTS
Certified Training Course (EAPCI, SCAI, GISE)
As in the past year, the programme for Young Interventional Cardiologists will include the most
important topics of the Interventional Cardiologists, with lectures held by outstanding speakers
from the three scientific societies.
The Course will have a separate CME application and will be held on October 20th, 21st and
22nd, with different sessions that will cover the full training path.
No simultaneous translation is foreseen for the course and a CD-Rom with all training contents
will be sent to all participants after the Congress.
Participation is limited to 250 young cardiologists, selected according to strict criteria:
- Resident in training, Fellows, Young Interventional Cardiologists in training, Scholars not
older than 40.

varie sessioni saranno presentati dei casi di complicanze particolari a cura dei relatori, i quali
saranno oggetto di discussione con l’audience in merito alla migliore soluzione rispetto a quella effettivamente adottata.
SNODI CRITICI IN CARDIOLOGIA INTERVENTISTICA
Seconda novità di quest’anno. Trattano da diversi punti di vista problemi con possibili multiple
soluzioni che saranno discusse in sala.
PRESENTAZIONE DI CASI CLINICI
Discussione di casi clinici reali, portati da Voi e dai moderatori. Il modo per poter avere risposte
rapide in diretta a dubbi o difficoltà incontrati nell’attività di ogni giorno.
FLASH DEBATE
Sono un modo di trattare argomenti critici in maniera interattiva. Posizioni opposte sostenute in
tempi ristretti. Dibattito interattivo serrato e valutazione finale da parte dell’audience mediante
votazioni.
SESSIONI PARALLELE
Spaziano a 360° su tutta l’interventistica cardiologica, sotto diversi profili: le indicazioni alla
PCI sul tronco comune, la moderna terapia antipiastrinica ed antitrombotica, l’ottimizzazione
dell’impianto di stent coronarico, l’accesso radiale per gli interventi coronarici e periferici ed
una sessione sul trattamento della malattia coronarica nelle donne e molto altro. Ciascuna
sessione sarà con tempi di presentazione tali da poter porre domande e ricevere risposte,
recuperando la massima partecipazione di tutti.

short time. This will be an interactive debate including a final assessment of the audience with
the use of televoting system.
CONCURRENT SESSIONS
Parallel sessions will involve all main topics in interventional cardiology, seen under different
points of view: left main PCI, modern antithrombotic and antiplatelet therapy, coronary stent
optimization, radial for coronary and peripheral interventions, a special session on women
treatment of CAD and more. All sessions will foresee presentations, time to allow questions
and answers from the audience for the largest participation of attendees.

PREMI GISE PER I MIGLIORI CONTRIBUTI SCIENTIFICI
La Commissione Scientifica, nominata dal Consiglio Direttivo GISE, assegnerà 4 premi da 4.000
Euro cadauno ai migliori contributi scientifici inviati come abstract. Tre premi saranno assegnati rispettivamente ai tre migliori contributi presentati sotto forma di comunicazioni orali, mentre
il “Premio Romeo”, istituito in memoria del Dr. Guido Romeo, sarà consegnato al miglior contributo presentato sotto forma di poster. I migliori lavori saranno presentati nella Sessione
“Il meglio degli abstracts GISE 2009” di mercoledì 21 ottobre, al termine della quale
avverranno le premiazioni. Per il ritiro del premio è indispensabile che almeno uno degli
Autori sia iscritto regolarmente al Congresso, che sia presente per la comunicazione orale e/o
la discussione del poster e inoltre che sia presente alla premiazione.
PREMIO GIOVANI INTERVENTISTI
Questo premio si pone l’obiettivo di incentivare l’attività scientifica continuativa dei giovani cardiologi interventisti italiani, gratificando ogni anno un giovane ricercatore ed interventista italiano che si sia distinto per l’eccezionalità del suo contributo scientifico. Tra i candidati che hanno
inviato il proprio curriculum vitae con lista completa delle proprie pubblicazioni già edite è stato
selezionato un interventista iscritto al GISE che pratica attività di interventistica cardiaca in Italia
da almeno 6 mesi, con età non superiore ai 35 anni alla data corrispondente al primo giorno
del Congresso. Il vincitore del premio “Young Interventionalist Achievement Award” (consistente in 3.000 euro e una pergamena commemorativa) è il candidato con maggior numero di
citazioni in “Institute for Scientific Information - Thomson” in data 15 luglio 2009. La Commissione Scientifica, nominata dal Consiglio Direttivo GISE, assegnerà tale premio in occasione della
sessione di martedì 20 ottobre alle ore 13.30 in Sala Italia.
CREDITI FORMATIVI ECM
La richiesta di accreditamento ECM è stata presentata ai competenti organi divisa per le singole professioni interessate e per giornata. Qualora il congressista non partecipi ai lavori dell’intera giornata, non avrà diritto ad acquisire alcun credito formativo. La rilevazione delle presenze avverrà a mezzo del consueto badge identificativo, recante all’interno un TAG funzionante
in radiofrequenza che verrà consegnato al Desk Segreteria al momento della registrazione
unitamente ai questionari dove è indicata la regolamentazione completa. La mancata riconsegna del badge/TAG determinerà l’impossibilità di rilascio della certificazione del credito ECM
nonché l’addebito di € 6 a titolo di penale.
Per l’EDUCATIONAL FELLOWSHIP COURSE - Corso per giovani cardiologi Interventisti certificato
da EAPCI, SCAI, GISE e per il Corso di scrittura di articoli scientifici in cardiologia interventistica
sono stati richiesti crediti dedicati. Gli iscritti a tali sessioni dovranno consegnare al termine
della terza giornata, il relativo questionario di apprendimento e valutazione.
LINGUE UFFICIALI DEL CONGRESSO
Lingue ufficiali del Congresso sono l’italiano e l’inglese. È previsto un servizio di traduzione
simultanea per le sessioni medici, ad eccezione del Fellowship Course e del Corso di scrittura
di articoli scientifici in cardiologia interventistica.

SCIENTIFIC INFORMATION
GISE PRIZE FOR THE BEST SCIENTIFIC CONTRIBUTIONS
The GISE Prize Scientific Committee, appointed by the GISE Executive Committee, will select the
best scientific contributions to assign four prizes of 4.000 Euros each. The prizes will be awarded to the three best oral communications and the fourth one, the “Romeo Prize” dedicated to
Dr. Guido Romeo, will be awarded to the best selected poster.
The best contributions will be presented during the ‘’The Best of the GISE Abstract”
session on October 21st, 2009 and will be awarded at the end of the session.
To collect the prize, at least one of the authors has to give the oral communication during the
session and/or poster discussion and has to attend the Award Ceremony.
YOUNG INTERVENTIONALIST ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
This Award has the main aim to increase the continuous scientific activities of the young Italian
interventional cardiologists, by selecting every year a Young Research Fellow for his outstanding scientific contributions. Among candidates who submitted their curriculum vitae with a
complete list of pubblications for the Award, the winner is an Interventional cardiology, not
older than 35 years and practising is activity in Italy since 6 months at least. The winner of
the Award (Euros 3.000 plus a plaque) will be the one with more citations on the “Institute for
Scientific Information - Thomson” at July 15th, 2009. The Award will be assigned by the Scientific
Committee, selected by the GISE Executive Board, during the special session on Tuesday, October 20th starting at 13.30 in the Sala Italia.
CME ACCREDITATION
The programme of this Congress has been submitted for accreditation to the Italian Ministry
of Health (Italian Programme of Continuing Medical Education). CME credits will be granted
according to the indications set by the Ministry.
Registered delegates interested in the above programme are requested to wear the special
electronic name badges (TAG) for daily accreditation at the entrance of the congress venue. A
penalty of € 6,00 will be charged to all participants that will not handle back the electronic TAG
after the Congress.
The Educational Fellowship Course in PCI for Young Interventionalists and the Course
“How to develop effective abstracts and manuscripts in interventional cardiology” has been
applied for separate CME credits. Registered participants should handle back the CME questionnaires at the end of the courses.
OFFICIAL LANGUAGES
Italian and English are the official languages of the Congress. Simultaneous translation will
be provided for the physician sessions, but not for the Educational Fellowship in PCI for Young
Interventionalists and the Course “how to develop effective abstracts and manuscripts in interventional cardiology”.

ASSEMBLEA GISE
L’Assemblea dei Soci GISE si terrà presso la Sala Italia in prima convocazione il 20 ottobre alle
ore 6.00 e in seconda convocazione il 20 ottobre alle ore 17.45.
ELEZIONI DEL NUOVO CONSIGLIO DIRETTIVO
Si ricorda ai Soci che durante il Congresso si terranno le elezioni per il rinnovo del Consiglio
Direttivo e dei Rappresentanti Regionali. Le candidature dovranno essere presentate nel corso
dell’Assemblea dei Soci. Avranno diritto al voto solo i Soci in regola con il pagamento delle
quote sociali. La scheda elettorale, previa presentazione di un documento di identità, potrà
essere ritirata presso la Segreteria GISE. Il seggio elettorale sarà aperto mercoledì 21 e giovedì
22 ottobre 2009, dalle ore 9.00 alle ore 17.00, e sarà possibile il voto anche tramite delega (una
sola delega per persona). I risultati elettorali saranno comunicati venerdì 23 ottobre in Sala
Europa al termine della sessione “Closing remarks”.
