Chiamando verso l'esterno, io non sento nulla ma l'interlocutore mi sente

Questo è un tipico problema di NAT che si verifica spesso quando l'apparecchiatura utilizzata per fare e
ricevere chiamate VoIP, è nattata dietro un router/firewall.
Peraltro è la situazione tipica, difficilmente infatti il proprio centralino/telefono IP o Pc, è direttamente
esposto su Internet con un IP pubblico.
Accade che la propria voce esce tranquillamente dalla nostra rete e quindi l'interlocutore ci sente
benissimo ma al contrario, il flusso in arrivo viene bloccato dal nostro router in quanto non giunge sulla
porta giusta. Da qui il fatto che non sentiamo nulla.
Quando questi problemi di NAT non vengono risolti dal vostro fornitore di telefonia VoIP, ci sono alcune
azioni da compiere localmente.
Se avete accesso alla configurazione del vostro router e non siete dietro un doppio NAT come sulla rete
Fastweb, potete configurare un port forward.
Per prima cosa dovete individuare il range di porte UDP utilizzato dal vostro apparato/centralino.
Una volta ottenuta questa informazione, basterà attivare una regola di port forward sul router che inoltri
vero l'IP del dispositivo VoIP, i dati in arrivo sul range di porte sopra citato. Ovviamente l'apparato dovrà
avere un IP statico, non in DHCP!
Se questa procedura non fosse applicabile, c'è la possibilità di riserva di attivare lo STUN se supportato
dal vostro dispositivo/centralino.
In pratica ogni VoIP providerm, mette a disposizione un nome di dominio stun..it o .com che è possibile
utilizzare.
Lo STUN è un protocollo che serve ad un'applicazione posta dietro un NAT di tentare di indovinare da
quale porta del router uscirà il suo traffico, così da modificare di conseguenza la segnalazione inviata al
SIP Server del vostro fornitore di telefonia.
Sfortunatamente il protocollo STUN non è che sia affidabile al 100% ed in tutte le situazioni, quindi è da
utilizzare come ultima risorsa se non è proprio possibile fare di meglio.

With In-Network calling you can call betewen VoIP accounts for free, with most any VoIP service.All
Skype,Yahoo Messenger, and Google Talk users can talk to each other for free over Internet as long as
they each have accounts with the same VSP (VoIP Service provider). I talk to my brother all the time
over Skype or Google Talk PC-PC for free.But, if you want to use a VoIP Phone using an ATA (analog
telephone adapter) to talk to other VoIP phone or PC based Softphone users, then you can use services
like CallCentric and InPhonex.With these services you can talk to any other user on their network for free
(In-Network calling). You can call from PC-to-ATA, ATA-to-ATA, or ATA-to-Softphone for free. And of
course to PSTN landlines as well for 1.98a2/min with CallCentric.I use my own user configurable
(unlocked) Linksys ATA (PAP2T-NA or SPA2102-NA). I use CallCentric on the ATA line-1, and
InPhonex on Line-2. Two separate services, two phone numbers, but only one VoIP ATA
box.CallCentric and InPhonex both have free downloadable Softphones. However, they are BYOD
(bring your own device), which means you have to buy and configure your own VoIP ATA phone
adapter, like I did.
