The production site includes a substantial area of 27,500 m2 of which 12,500 m2 are indoors.

As holder of the ASME U and ASME S accreditations and the ISO 9001:2008, Cima S.p.A. is committed through
investment in technology, equipment and training to provide flexibility, customization, innovation and reliability.

HISTORY
Cima S.p.A. history was the brainchild of Pompilio Dordoni and Lodovico Necchi, who combined courage,
experience and market knowledge to start their business venture.
Founded in July 1961, Cima originally dealt with carpentry and plant parts for the cement industry. In March
1977, Sicom was founded and this company specialised in the production of calendered goods. In March 1987,
the two partners had the idea to set up a new company called Metax whose core business was the design and
the production of machines and plants for specialised construction industries.
As a result of Cima, Sicom and Metax merging, in April 2001, Cima S.p.A. was founded.
This new company continues with the three individual types of production until today. In 2002 Metax® became
a registered brand that is renowned worldwide for the quality production of motor pumps and plants of the
geotechnical division.
The history of Cima S.p.A. is the result of two friends’ passion, which continues to inspire innovation in mediumheavy carpentry, special fittings, oil & gas, specialised construction and the cement industry.
QUALITY
Cima S.p.A. is accredited with the following Certificate of Authorization in accordance with ASME Boiler and
Pressure Vessel Code ASME VIII Div.1, ASME I and ASME B31.1:
• ASME U for the manufacture of pressure vessels
• ASME S for the manufacture and assembly of power boilers

Cima S.p.A. Quality Management System is approved to ISO 9001:2008 by Bureau Veritas for:
• design and production of metal carpentry, pressure vessels, pipes and butt welding fittings
• production of special pieces
• design and production of high pressure pumps for jet grouting and pumping of drilling muds
• design and production of automatic batching plants for the preparation of cement-based and bentonite
mixtures.
It’s the primary objective of Cima S.p.A to further invest in quality and continue to be a renowned and reliable

CARPENTRY AND SPECIAL FITTINGS DIVISION
Medium-heavy carpentry
Thanks to know-how developed throughout fifty years of activity, Cima S.p.A. focuses on the bespoke
production of special parts for plants. The company caters for all requests including requirements for
local and international client specification.
Special fittings
Cima S.p.A. is specialised in the production of manufactured goods composed of calendered and
welded metal sheets in accordance with different international regulations and client specifications in
the oil & gas, petrochemical, offshore and energy sectors. Materials used for the production of special
fitting, range from standard carbon steel for low temperatures to steel for boilers and pressure vessels,
steels for oil & gas pipelines , to stainless steel for nickel alloys.

METAX ® - Geotechnical and Petrochemical Division
Metax® trademark is synonymous with quality, productivity and reliability.
Metax® division is highly specialized in the construction of high pressure pumps for jet grouting
applications, pumping of drilling muds and transfer of liquid in general and the production of mixing
plants, mixture store tanks, injection pumps for specialised civil engineering and geotechnics.
Metax® division provides consistent technical support to clients anywhere in the world. The specific
geotechnical consultancy support helps clients to choose drilling and injection systems, provides
information about the type of equipment to use and give support in managing building sites; including
start-up and, where necessary, in-house training.
Thanks to investment in personnel, strong leadership and an innovative approach to key industries,
