La resina scivola sui bordi e s’addensa, prende forme di stampi giganti. Gelatina o cristalli di zucchero che interpretano fiori e frutti. Sassi cavi che suonano sordi come crisalidi abbandonate da farfalle di vetro. Tronchi e canne di una grotta gelata, giganteschi legni e cortecce da succhiare. La resina si rapprende come una carezza liquida passata in tutti gli angoli: l’alone vitreo che ricopre del suo fiato le cose e le moltiplica in bolle dure dai riflessi colorati. Nascono forme che ricalcano la natura, impasti densi che riscaldano l’impassibile candore del ghiaccio, intrugli d’alchimie sospette che vogliono beffare la consistenza degli elementi. The resin strains like fused ice, molasses mixed with translucent fibres and golden feathers which remain within the amber core. The resin slips on the edges and it thickens, taking the shapes of giant moulds. Sugar jelly or crystals that interpret flowers and fruits. Hollow stones sound dull like a chrysalis abandoned from their iced butterflies. Logs and reeds form a frosted cave, giant wood and bark pieces to be sucked in. Nato da uno stampo comune, ogni pezzo viene carteggiato, dipinto e lucidato a mano. La lavorazione è differente per ogni genere di oggetto, una personalizzazione attenta e minuziosa che permette a tutti gli elementi di acquisire identità ed unicità, oltre all’estrema cura del dettaglio figlia di una sapiente manifattura artigianale. I nomi rimandano al mondo naturale: bulbi, gusci, ciottoli; le forme e le dimensioni rivelano il talento pittorico e scultoreo de il laboratorio dell’imperfetto, la resina dà forma a ogni pensiero e suggestione, “è il moderno dono da Re Mida di Verter Turroni, che dopo tanti anni di sperimentazione, padroneggia questa sostanza in tutte le sue possibili metamorfosi”. Imperfettogallery è una parte de il laboratorio dell’imperfetto che si occupa della realizzazione e promozione di differenti ricerche artistiche; sviluppa progetti espositivi, performance, ed è il luogo in cui gli artisti trovano accoglienza, dove possono sperimentare, e misurarsi in ampi spazi con il proprio lavoro. Imperfetto does not stand as a word defining imprecision, yet it refers to something unique and exclusive, such as the objects in fibreglass that “Il laboratorio dell’imperfetto” designs and produces in its studio in Gambettola (Italy). The collection of designs are inspired by the imperfections of the raw materials they work with, resulting in a synthesis between natural and artificial elements which gives them a familiar domestic touch. Each piece is made from a common mould, and eventually gets sanded, painted and hand-polished. The working process differs for each type of object, thus becoming unique in its genre. Thanks to such personalised approach to items, they acquire identity and uniqueness, as well as showing the exceptional attention to details that derives from an expert and skilful craftsmanship. The names given to each designed item recall the world of nature, such as Bulbi (bulbs), Gusci (shells), Ciottoli (pebbles); shapes and dimension reveal the talents employed at the Laboratorio dell’Imperfetto, where resin gives a shape to every idea and is “a modern gift from Re Mida by Verter Turroni, who after many years of experimenting, has learned to make the most of this material in all its possible metamorphoses”.
