(S)ITOR curating differently ANTONIO GUCCIONE From Jesus to Yves Saint Laurent 1947 – Italian Photographer of the fashion system, Antonio Guccione is the unmistakable protagonist of many advertising campaigns for Gucci, Prada, Versace, Yves Saint Laurent and has shot in his thirty year career the most beautiful women in the world. His sharp and natural portraits show women always spectacularly authentic as iconic figures of style and beauty. His work can be seen in different publications as Absolute Statehood, Faces of New York, Fashion and Faces. Photographer of the stars and star system, Antonio Guccione shot Richard Gere, Dustin Hoffmann, Kate Moss, Tyra Banks, Giorgio Armani, Elle McPherson, Federico Fellini, Carla Bruni, Roberto Bolle… An outstanding work with no post production involved. Vanitas vanitatum et omnia vanitas. Vanitas is a symbolic work of art (often a still life painting in the Flemish 16th Century culture) suggesting the meaninglessness of earthly life and the transient nature of all goods and pursuit. « Skulls », is the latest and most introspective work of Antonio Guccione. After portraying fashion on glossy paper, he is now suggesting an amazing voyage and an invitation to meditation through ironical portraits of selected figures from the past. 1947 – Italian Artist born in Alia (PA) (Italy) Lives and works in Milan Fat Galerie (Paris).
