User Manual
NAVTEQ offers navigation CDs to download. This manual describes how to create a CD from
the downloaded file.
Downloading the ZIP file
After you have purchased the product in the web store, you can download the file by selecting
the link entitled “download”. Please remember the location where you store the downloaded
file. The download link is also provided in the confirmation email sent to you.
Unpacking the Zip file
The downloaded file is a zip archive containing multiple files.
In the zip archive you will find CD images (.iso and .nrg), this user manual, operating
instructions(.pdf file), and a printable cover for the CD case (.pdf file).
Extract the downloaded zip file. This is normally done by right-clicking onto the file and
selecting ‘extract’. The details depend on your operation systems (OS). Remember the location
where the files were extracted to.
Burning the CD Rom
You need CD burning software such as Nero or Roxio. In most cases, the program can be
started just by double clicking the .nrg (Nero) or .iso (Roxio) CD image file. Once the program
is started, choose ‘start’ or ‘burn’.
The details on how to burn the CD image are described in the documentation of the CD
burning software.
Printing the Documentation
The documentation and printable CD cover are provided as PDF files. They can be viewed and
printed with the Adobe Reader (free from http://www.adobe.com).
Frequently asked questions (FAQ)
How many CD copies am I allowed to burn from the downloaded CD image?
You may only burn and keep one (1) CD. If, for some reason, the burned CD does not work in
your device, you may burn another one but will have to destroy all earlier attempts.
Do I need to use a specific program to burn the CD?
You need a regular CD burning software such as Nero or Roxio .Current CD burner programs
can handle .iso or .nrg files.
If you are using Nero, please use the .nrg file.
Do I need a specific CD medium?
No, a normal writeable CD of reasonable quality should work.
Why is a printable CD label not provided?
Sticking a CD label on the CD might cause problems with the CD drive of your in-car
navigation device. We recommend you mark the CD using a special CD pen instead of a
sticker.
May I give the burned CD to somebody else?
It is allowed to give the CD to another person. In this case, however, you are not allowed to
keep a copy for yourself and you are required to destroy the downloaded CD ISO image on
your computer and backups.
Will the CD work with other devices not on the list?
No, it will only work with the Harman Becker system.

zu behalten. Sie müssen auch das runtergeladene File und alle Kopien davon vernichten.
Funktioniert die CD mit Geräten, die nicht auf der Liste stehen?
Nein, sie funktioniert nur mit den genannten Geräten von Becker.

Graver le CD Rom

gravé ne fonctionne pas sur votre appareil, vous pourrez en graver un autre, mais vous devrez

Scaricamento del file compresso (ZIP)

Sarà necessario un software per masterizzazione di CD, come Nero, Roxio o Deep Burner
(scaricabile gratuitamente da http://www.deepburner.com). Nella maggior parte dei casi, il
programma può essere avviato facendo semplicemente clic sul file .iso dell’immagine. Una
volta avviato il programma, scelga ‘avvio’ o ‘masterizza’. I dettagli su come masterizzare

Downloaden van het ZIP bestand
Na uw aankoop van het product in de webwinkel kunt u uw product downloaden door op de
”download” link te klikken. Onthoud op welke plaats u het bestand bewaart op uw computer.

Uitpakken van het ZIP bestand

esemplificativo e non limitativo, i diritti morali e analoghi diritti.

PRESENTE SEZIONE, O QUALSIASI PARTE DELLA PRESENTE SEZIONE, SIANO
RITENUTI INVALIDI O INOPPONIBILI IN GIUDIZIO DA UN TRIBUNALE COMPETENTE, IN

QUALSIASI ALTRA PERSONA CHE LA CHIAMI IN CAUSA ATTRAVERSO L'UTENTE, IN
RELAZIONE A QUALSIASI DANNO, PERDITA, RIVENDICAZIONE E/O CAUSA D'AZIONE,
SIA IN BASE AD ILLECITO CONTRATTUALE, NEGLIGENZA OD ALTRO, POTRA'
SUPERARE CENTO DOLLARI ($100). L'UTENE SI IMPEGNA INOLTRE A GARANTIRE,
TUTELARE E ASSICURARE L'INTEGRITA' DI NAVTEQ, DEI SUOI SPONSOR, PARTNER
COMMERCIALI, CONTROLLATE, AFFILIATE, FUNZIONARI, AMMINISTRATORI,
DIPENDENTI, AVVOCATI ED AGENTI, DA QUALSIASI DANNO, RIVENDICAZIONE E
CAUSA AVANZATA DALL'UTENTE STESSO O DA QUALSIASI TERZO DERIVANTE
DALL'USO DEL SITO DA PARTE DELL'UTENTE IN VIOLAZIONE DEI PRESENTI TERMINI
O DALLA VIOLAZIONE DA PARTE DELLO STESSO UTENTE DI QUALSIASI DIRITTO DI
PROPRIETA' INTELLETTUALE DI QUALSIASI PERSONA FISICA O GIURIDICA.

LEGGE APPLICABILE E ARBITRATO.

parti compongano qualsiasi vertenza o controversia relativa ai presenti Termini mediante
arbitrato vincolante presso il foro di Chicago, Illinois ai sensi del Regolamento di Arbitrato della
American Arbitration Association. Nel limite massimo consentito dalla legge applicabile,
nessun arbitrato ai sensi dei presenti Termini potrà essere unito ad un arbitrato che coinvolga
qualsiasi altra parte assoggettata ai presenti Termini, sia tramite procedimento di arbitrato di
classe o procedimenti di altro tipo. IN DEROGA A QUANTO SOPRA PRESCRITTO CIRCA LA
RISOLUZIONE DI VERTENZE, PER QUALSIASI CONDONO MEDIANTE INGIUNZIONE
RELATIVA AL SUO ACCESSO AL SITO O AL SUO USO DEL SITO, COMPRESI A TITOLO
ESEMPLIFICATIVO I RELATIVI SERVIZI, L'UTENTE ACCONSENTE AD ASSOGGETTARSI
IN VIA ESCLUSIVA ALLA GIURISDIZIONE E FORO DELLO STATO O DEI TRIBUNALI

sopra, né potrà essere interpretato come una forma di rinuncia da parte di NAVTEQ. Qualora
una qualsiasi delle disposizioni dei Termini dovesse essere considerata invalida o inapplicabile
dal foro competente, in toto o in parte, tale disposizione, in tale giurisdizione, sarà inefficace
nella misura di tale invalidità o inopponibilità in giudizio senza inficiare in alcun modo la validità
o l'applicabilità delle restanti disposizioni dei presenti Termini; tuttavia, quando la disposizione
ritenuta invalida o inapplicabile può essere modificata in modo tale da renderla conforme alle
norme vigenti, essa dovrà essere modificata in tal senso, al fine di renderla applicabile entro i
limiti massimi consentiti dalla legge.

ASOCIADOS COMERCIALES, DIRECTORES, DIRECTIVOS, EMPLEADOS, ABOGADOS Y
AGENTES, POR Y CONTRA CUALQUIER TIPO DE DAÑOS, RECLAMACIONES Y
ACCIONES LEGALES EMPRENDIDAS POR USTED O CUALQUIER OTRA PARTE COMO
CONSECUENCIA DEL USO DEL SITIO EN FIOLACIÓN DE ESTOS TÉRMINOS O LA
INFRACCIÓN POR SU PARTE DE CUALQUIER PROPIEDAD INTELECTUAL DE

LEYES VIGENTES Y ARBITRACIÓN.

que de forma alguna afecte a su validez o coercibilidad en cualquier otra jurisdicción o del
resto de las provisiones en cualquier jurisdicción, entendiéndose, sin embargo, que si dicha
provisión no válida o no coercible puede ser modificada de forma que sea válida y coercible
legalmente, dicha provisión se considerará modificada de forma que sea válida y coercible

gebruiken voor of in verband met een van de volgende activiteiten: (i) verzenden of doorsturen
van spam, spoofing of zich uitgeven voor een andere persoon of entiteit, of uw identiteit of
connectie op enigerlei wijze foutief vermelden; (ii) de site gebruiken voor frauduleuze of illegale
doeleinden; (iii) e-mailen, uploaden of de site op andere manieren verzenden of gebruiken om
het gebruik, de verdeling of verzending te bevorderen van onwettig, treiterend, lasterlijk,
oneerlijk, smadelijk, seksueel expliciet, obsceen, haatdragend, raciaal, etnisch of anderszins
aanstootgevend materiaal van gelijk welke aard; en (iv) materiaal verzenden dat virussen,
Trojaanse paarden, wormen, tijdbommen, cancelbots of andere computerprogrammaroutines
of engines bevat die bedoeld zijn om de functionaliteit van de computer of de werking van de
site te beschadigen, te vernietigen, te verstoren of op een andere wijze in het gedrang te
brengen.
(f) Informatie verstrekt via de Site. Alle informatie verstrekt via de site, inclusief maar niet
beperkt tot, alle informatie, product- of configuratieaanbevelingen of productspecificaties, houdt
geen enkele garantie in met betrekking tot de nauwkeurigheid, de prestaties of de geschiktheid
voor het vooropgestelde doel of naleving van de relevante wet. NAVTEQ gaat ervan uit dat u
de informatie die via de site wordt geleverd, met de nodige omzichtigheid gebruikt, en dat u
'best practices' en supervisie voorziet bij het gebruik van de informatie geleverd via de site.
(g) Pleegt geen inbreuk op de intellectuele eigendomsrechten van derden. Zonder afbreuk te
doen aan het voorgaande, mag u de site niet gebruiken, en door gebruik van de site gaat u
hiermee akkoord: (i) ingediende informatie door te zenden of bekend te maken die
onderworpen is aan het auteursrecht, tenzij u de eigenaar van het auteursrecht bent of tenzij u
de toelating van de eigenaar van het auteursrecht heeft verkregen om die informatie door te
sturen; (ii) ingediende informatie te verzenden of bekend te maken die handelsgeheimen
openbaar maakt, tenzij u de eigenaar ervan bent of tenzij u de toelating heeft gekregen van de
eigenaar ervan om ze te verzenden; of (iii) ingediende informatie te verzenden of bekend te
maken die een inbreuk betekent op intellectuele eigendomsrechten (zoals hierna gedefinieerd)
van anderen of een inbreuk betekent op de privacy of de publiciteitsrechten van anderen.
Bovendien bevestigt u, tenzij uitdrukkelijk anders vermeld, dat u kennis heeft van en akkoord
gaat met: (a) alle ingediende informatie het eigendom wordt van NAVTEQ; (b) NAVTEQ het
recht heeft de ingediende informatie voor gelijk welk gebruiksdoel te publiceren, inclusief
promotionele en advertentiedoeleinden, in overeenstemming met de voorwaarden die vermeld
zijn in het Privacybeleid, zonder enigerlei vergoeding voor u; (c ) alle informatie die u indient op
gelijk welk deel van de site, beschouwd wordt als niet-vertrouwelijke informatie; en (d) als u
informatie indient, u automatisch dat de eigenaar van die informatie aan NAVTEQ uitdrukkelijk
een gratis, eeuwigdurende, onherroepelijke, wereldwijde exclusieve licentie heeft verleend om
de ingediende informatie te gebruiken op gelijk welke manier, media of vorm die nu bekend is
of later zal worden ontwikkeld. NAVTEQ mag zijn rechten doorgeven aan verschillende
niveaus van onderlicenties. In het kader van deze voorwaarden verwijst de term "Intellectuele
eigendomsrechten" naar de collectieve rechten binnen de wetgeving op het patent, het
handelsmerk, de auteursrechten en de handelsgeheimen, en alle andere intellectuele
eigendomsrechten die worden erkend in gelijk welk land of gelijk welk rechtsgebied ter wereld,
inclusief maar zonder beperking van morele rechten en gelijkaardige rechten.
(h) Eigendom. NAVTEQ plaatst heel veel informatie op de site, die u regelmatig moet
controleren. Een voorbeeld van de mogelijke inhoud: tekst, grafische elementen, foto's,
afbeeldingen, tekeningen, animatie, audio, video, literatuur en alle andere materialen verdeeld
door NAVTEQ op, via of in verband met de site. Bovendien probeert NAVTEQ de informatie
weer te geven op een manier die voor u, de gebruiker, gemakkelijk toegankelijk en nuttig is.
Alle inhoud en materiaal op de site, inclusief, maar niet beperkt tot tekst, grafische elementen,
logo's, knoppictogrammen, afbeeldingen, audiofragmenten en software op de site en alle
diensten aangeboden op de site, zijn het eigendom van NAVTEQ, zijn sponsors of
aangesloten maatschappijen en/of van hun respectieve licentieverleners, en zijn onderworpen
aan de Amerikaanse en internationale wetgeving op de auteursrechten, handelsmerken en
andere eigendomsrechten en intellectuele eigendomsrechten. De verzameling van alle inhoud
op de site is het exclusieve eigendom van NAVTEQ en wordt beschermd door Amerikaanse en
internationale auteursrechtelijke wetten. Alle software die op de site wordt gebruikt, is het
eigendom van NAVTEQ of van zijn licentieverleners en is onderworpen aan Amerikaanse en
internationale auteursrechtelijke wetten. Met uitzondering van het minimum dat uitdrukkelijk
toegestaan is door de auteursrechtelijke wetgeving, mag het materiaal van de site niet worden
gekopieerd of benut tenzij dit uitdrukkelijk in overeenstemming gebeurt met deze Voorwaarden
of met de uitdrukkelijke en schriftelijke toestemming van NAVTEQ en van eventueel andere
eigenaars van het auteursrecht. U bevestigt dat u door het auteursrechtelijk beschermd
materiaal van de site te downloaden, geen eigendomsrechten verwerft. Alle rechten die hier
niet uitdrukkelijk zijn verleend, blijven uitdrukkelijk voorbehouden aan NAVTEQ.

DERGELIJKE HULPMIDDELEN OF PRODUCTEN NIET OP OF IN VERBAND MET DE SITE!
4.
GARANTIEAFWIJZING.

DEFECTEN ZULLEN WORDEN GECORRIGEERD OF DAT DE SERVER DIE DE SITE
BESCHIKBAAR MAAKT VRIJ IS VAN VIRUSSEN OF ANDERE SCHADELIJKE
COMPONENTEN OF DAT DE TRANSMISSIE NAAR OF VAN DE SITE EN TOEGANG TOT

BIEDT GEEN GARANTIE VOOR HET GEBRUIK OF DE RESULTATEN VAN HET GEBRUIK

GARANTIES WAT DE BEVEILIGING VAN INFORMATIE AANGAAT DIE U OP SITES VAN

5.
BEPERKING VAN AANSPRAKELIJKHEID.
VOOR ZOVER DIT MAXIMAAL DOOR DE WET IS TOEGESTAAN, ZAL NAVTEQ IN GEEN
GEVAL, INCLUSIEF MAAR NIET BEPERKT TOT ONACHTZAAMHEID VAN NAVTEQ,
AANSPRAKELIJK WORDEN GESTELD VOOR SCHADE, INCLUSIEF MAAR NIET BEPERKT
TOT DIRECTE, SPECIALE, INDIRECTE, ALS STRAF BEDOELDE, GEVOLG-, MORELE
EN/OF INCIDENTELE SCHADE DIE HET GEVOLG IS VAN HET GEBRUIK OF VAN DE
ONMOGELIJKHEID TOT HET GEBRUIK VAN DE SITE, ENIGERLEI INHOUD EN/OF
ENIGERLEI VERWANTE SOFTWARE, ZELFS ALS NAVTEQ OF EEN ERKENDE
VERTEGENWOORDIGER VAN NAVTEQ OP DE HOOGTE WERD GEBRACHT VAN DE
MOGELIJKHEID VAN DERGELIJKE SCHADE. ZONDER AFBREUK TE DOEN AAN DE
ANDERE BEPALINGEN IN DEZE VOORWAARDEN ZAL, ALS DE VOORWAARDEN VAN
DEZE SECTIE, OF VAN EEN DEEL VAN DEZE SECTIE ONGELDIG OF ONAFDWINGBAAR
WORDEN VERKLAARD DOOR EEN BEVOEGDE RECHTBANK, DE TOTALE
AANSPRAKELIJKHEID VAN NAVTEQ TEGENOVER U OF IEMAND ANDERS DIE VOOR OF
VIA U EEN CLAIM INDIENT VOOR SCHADE, VERLIES EN/OF WERKWIJZEN,
CONTRACTUEEL, ONRECHTMATIG, DOOR NALATIGHEID OF ANDERSZINS, NIET
GROTER ZIJN DAN HONDER DOLLAR ($100). BOVENDIEN MOET U NAVTEQ EN ZIJN
SPONSORS, AANGESLOTEN BEDRIJVEN, DOCHTERONDERNEMINGEN, FILIALEN,
VERTEGENWOORDIGERS, DIRECTEUREN, WERKNEMERS, GEVOLMACHTIGDEN EN
AGENTEN, VRIJWAREN VAN ALLE SCHADE, AANSPRAKEN EN ACTIES VANWEGE U OF
DERDEN TEN GEVOLGE VAN UW GEBRUIK VAN DE SITE IN INBREUK OP DEZE
VOORWAARDEN OF INBREUK DOOR U OP INTELLECTUELE EIGENDOMSRECHTEN
VAN EEN PERSOON OF ENTITEIT.
6.
GELDENDE WETGEVING EN RECHTSPRAAK.
Het wetten van de Staat Illinois (exclusief eventuele principes van conflicterende wetgeving)
zijn van toepassing op het gebruik van de site, de diensten en deze Voorwaarden. U gaat
ermee akkoord dat de partijen alle claims of geschillen met betrekking tot deze Voorwaarden
zullen laten beslechten door bindende arbitrage in Chicago, Illinois onder de Commercial
Arbitration Rules van de American Arbitration Association. Voor zover dit maximaal door de
relevante wet is toegestaan, kan geen arbitrage onder deze Voorwaarden worden verbonden
aan een arbitrage met betrekking tot derden in het kader van deze Voorwaarden, ongeacht of
dit door procedures voor klassearbitrage of anderszins gebeurt. NIETTEGENSTAANDE DE
VOORGAANDE VEREISTEN VOOR HET OPLOSSEN VAN GESCHILLEN, GAAT U ERMEE
AKKOORD EN ONDERWERPT U ZICH VOOR ELK VERHAAL MET BETREKKING TOT UW
TOEGANG TOT, OF HET GEBRUIK VAN DE SITE, INCLUSIEF MAAR ZONDER
BEPERKING, VAN DE VERWANTE DIENSTEN, AAN DE EXCLUSIEVE
RECHTSBEVOEGDHEID VAN DE RELEVANTE NATIONALE OF FEDERALE
RECHTBANKEN IN COOK COUNTY, ILLINOIS, VS.
7.
VERKLARING VAN AFSTAND EN SCHEIDBAARHEID.
Geen enkele vertraging of verwaarlozing door NAVTEQ in het uitoefenen van een recht, of
niet-naleving door u van de Voorwaarden, heeft nadelige gevolgen voor dergelijk recht of kan
worden opgevat als een afstand van het recht vanwege NAVTEQ. Als een rechtbank met
competente bevoegdheid vaststelt dat een bepaling van de Voorwaarden volledig of
gedeeltelijk ongeldig of niet-afdwingbaar is, dan is die bepaling in dat rechtsgebied ongeldig en
onafdwingbaar, zonder echter de geldigheid of afdwingbaarheid te beïnvloeden in een ander
rechtsgebied of de overige bepalingen hiervan in gelijk welk rechtsgebied, op voorwaarde
echter dat, als dergelijke ongeldige of onafdwingbare bepaling zodanig wordt gewijzigd dat ze
geldig en afdwingbaar wordt, die bepaling tot de maximaal door de wet toegelaten mate wordt
beschouwd als zijnde geldig en afdwingbaar.
8.
ELEKTRONISCH CONTRACTEREN
U verklaart zich akkoord met de Voorwaarden, in combinatie met uw gebruik van de site en/of
de diensten die op of via de site worden aangeboden, dezelfde juridische krachten hebben als
een schriftelijk contract met uw handtekening en voldoen aan alle wetten die een schriftelijke
vorm of handtekening vereisen, inclusief alle relevante fraudebepalingen. U verklaart zich
verder akkoord dat u de geldigheid, afdwingbaarheid of toelaatbaarheid van de Voorwaarden
niet in twijfel zal trekken doordat ze elektronisch werden doorgestuurd of geautoriseerd.
Bovendien bevestigt u dat u de mogelijkheid heeft gehad om de Voorwaarden af te drukken.
