Inna Driada
Inna Kaminskaia è un altro nuovo arrivo nella famiglia Festa del Fuoco di quest'anno, e siamo felici di
accogliere il primo artista proveniente dalla Russia alla Festa del Fuoco di Stromboli. Da bambina Inna
ha esplorato e rafforzato il suo amore per la musica e suona il violoncello da sedici anni. Ha creato
spettacoli col fuoco per sei anni ed è leader del team di "Show Indigo". Con loro ha lavorato in giro
per il mondo, dal circo a palchi aperti in Oman, Kuwait, Cina, Turchia, Egitto, Tunisia. La sua specialità è la danza con i ventagli di fuoco e in aggiunta alla sua performance, durante il festival si occuperà anche di workshop sulle tecniche che ha raccolto e perfezionato nei suoi viaggi.
Inna Kaminskaya is another new arrival to the Festa del Fuoco family this year, and we are happy to
welcome the first ever performer from Russia to the Festa del Fuoco di Stromboli. Since early childhood
Inna has explored her love for music and she has been playing the cello for sixteen years. She has
been creating fire shows for six years and is team leader of "Indigo Show". With her performance team
she has traveled the world and worked in circuses and open stages in Oman, Kuwait, China, Turkey,
Egypt, Tunisia.
Her speciality are the fire fans and in addition to her fiery performance during the festival she will
also offer a comprehensive workshop passing on the many techniques she has gathered and mastered in
her travels.

Jay Firecat
Jerome Latour, uno dei membri fondatori originari della famiglia della Festa del Fuoco, torna per la
terza volta a Stromboli, che ospiterà due suoi nuovi spettacoli di prim'ordine. Egli è di ritorno da una
tournée asiatica di grande successo, nell'ambito della quale ha collaborato lavorando al primo "Balinese

Jerome LaTour, one of the original founding members of the Festa del Fuoco family, returns for the
third time to Stromboli, with the festival excited to host two brand new shows by the top notch performer. He is returning from a highly successful Asian tour, as part of which he collaborated in manifesting the first Balinese Juggling Convention and the already legendary first Pirate Juggling Camp on
the tiny coral island of Gili Nangu off Lombok. Besides delighting audiences with his breathtaking
performances the rench firecat is known for his excellent workshops and this year as part of the festival program he will offer at least one afternoon of instruction in object manipulation, which any enthusiast would be sorry to miss.

Miss Wolf
Negli ultimi 6 anni Miss Wolf ha entusiasmato il pubblico nord americano con i suoi "wild dance moves"
e con spettacolari quanto rischiosi giochi col fuoco.
Nata e cresciuta a New York, Wolf Bukiet dopo aver attraversato faticosamente il grande rito della
maturità americana, la cosiddetta "maturazione superiore", successivamente fugge da tutto questo in Sud
America, dove ha scoperto la danza, il fuoco e la speciale energia che scaturisce dall'incontro fra questi
due elementi. Miss Wolf si è esibita su ogni tipo di scena, e presentare i suoi spettacoli in posti
sempre diversi rende il suo lavoro davvero stimolante, particolarmente esaltante sarà per lei presentare
il suo lavoro qui, alle pendici dello Stromboli.
For nearly six years, Miss Wolf has been dazzling audiences across norh America with her wild dance
moves and spectacularly dangerous fire stunts.
Born and raised in New York City, Wolf Bukiet slogged through that great American rite of passage
known as higher education and then promptly ran away to South America where she discovered dance,
fire and the amount of cosmic energy that could be unleashed by combining the two.
Miss Wolf has performed on streets and stages, in backyards and city plazas, in restaurants, night
clubs and resorts, at parades, music festivals and children’s birthday parties. If you offer her an
opportunity to perform somewhere new, she’ll be especially excited.

Monica Rois
Monica Rois incontra la danza area nel 2001 in Argentina, e dal quel momento, diventa la sua compagna
di viaggio. Ricercatrice del movimento, della comunicazione non verbale e della fusione fra le Arti, ha
esplorato durante incontri con maestri generosi, il mondo del teatro antropologico, del circo contemporaneo, della musica, della danza e delle clownerie. Lavora come Artista e insegnante in entrambi gli
emisferi dal 2005, portando da una parte all’altra del globo le “contaminazioni” culturali che di volta in
volta vanno riempiendo la valigia del suo viaggio.
Ha collaborato con compagnie come La Fyra Dels Baus e il Workcenter di Jerzy Grotowsky, ha fatto
spettacoli in piazze, teatri, porti marittimi, parchi, in mezzo all' Oceano Atlantico su una nave da
crociera, in eventi e contesti di ogni tipo.
Monica discovered aerial dance in 2001 in Argentina, where she is from, and from that moment on it
became her traveling companion.
Researcher of movement, non verbal comunication and fusion of arts she explores, through encounters
with generous masters, the world of antropological theater, contemporary circus, music, dance and the
clown. She works as performer and instructor in both hemispheres since 2005, bringing from one part
of the terrestrial ball to the other the cultural “contaminations” that fill a travelers suitcase.
She has collaborated with companies like La Fyra Dels Baus and the Jerry Growotsky's Workcenter,
entertained in squares, theaters, seaports, parks, in the middle of the Atlantic ocean on a cruise liner,
in any type of context and event.
In 2011 she was certified as a teacher of the Feldenkrais Method and she is offering a workshop in
this method of bodywork in the first week of the festival.

Nao & Jolo
Ancora una volta La Festa del Fuoco è felice di dare il benvenuto a Juliette Grillet. La graziosa performer francese ha fin dall'inizio, nel 2008, stupito il pubblico strombolano con i suoi show innovativi e
complessi. Unendo il suo amore per la danza, le arti circensi e il fuoco, con la sua personale interpretazione e l'importante esperienza e competenza tecnica e scenica acquisita, per creare sorprendenti scenografie e produzioni d'avanguardia.
Da subito ha sempre collaborato con la Festa promuovendo inoltre contatti importanti, presentando nuovi,
virtuosi artisti. La prima è stata Nata Raja e lo scorso anno è stato così per Engineers of Desire.
Quest'anno ha preparato un nuovo numero in collaborazione di Ludovic Fraiche.
Per la prima volta a Stromboli, Ludovic in veste di JoLo è entusiasta di partecipare a questa nuova
avventura. Cresciuto nel mondo del circo dall'età di nove anni, ha lavorato con note compagnie francesi e
si è esibito in molti paesi. E' anche un'eccezionale pirotecnico professionista.
Recentemente ha avvertito l'esigenza per un cambiamento professionale più profondo, per una evoluzione
artistica più completa, per questo, quindi, la fortunata collaborazione con Juliette, e la creazione della
performance di quest'anno "Arachnea".
Once again the Festa is happy to welcome back Juliette Grillet. The graceful french performer has since
the beginning astounded Strombolian audiences with her innovative and complex shows, mixing her love
for dance, circus arts, fire, self expression and her professional technical stage background to create
surprising and avant garde choreografies and productions.
Always eager to return to Stromboli, she has further since the beginning enriched the festival by
recommending and introducing wonderful artists to invite for collaboration, first with Nata Raja, last
year bringing along Engineers of Desire and this year she has prepared a new piece in collaboration
with Ludovic Fraiche. For the first time on Stromboli, JoLo is very excited to be part of this adventure. Grown in the circus since he was nine years old he has worked with known French companies and
performed internationally. He is also a trained pyrotechnician. Recently he was feeling ready for a
change and to further develop his artistic technique and direction, and so the meeting with Juliette lead
to the collective creation of “Arachnea”.

A dream where a spider and its prey observe each other, approach, play in a strange scenery... This
unusual structure is nothing close to real... but could it be? which one of this dance will get trap into

La Festa di Fuoco di Stromboli è felice di ospitare Monserrat Hornedo Farriol, dal Messico, e Tibor
Ferneczi dalla Ungheria, come nuovi componenti della famiglia.
L'elegante duo vive nella bella Tulum, sulla costa Maya dello Yucatan, e il loro lavoro è basato sulle
aspettative connesse alla fine dell'antico calendario Maya che si chiude nel Dicembre 2012.
La talentuosa coppia, unisce diverse influenze tecniche, dal KungFu Shaolin alla Capoeira, passando
attraverso adagio e acrobatica, manipolazione di sfere di cristallo e bastoni infuocati.
Sono molto attenti ai dettagli, come ad esempio il fatto di confezionare i loro costumi a mano usando
materiali riciclati.
The Festa del Fuoco is happy to welcome Monteserrat Hornedo Farriol from Mexico and Tibor Ferneczi
from Hungary to the festival family.
The elegant duo resides in beautiful Tulum, on the Costa Maya del Yucatan, and their performance is
based on the expectations connected to the end of the Ancient Mayan's calender's long count in December
2012. The talented couple mixes many influences in their performances, ranging from Shaolin KungFu to
Capoeira, using techniques like adagio and floor acrobatics and object manipulation in form of crystal
balls and fire staff . They give a lot of attention to all aspects of their creation, right down to hand
crafting all their costumes from recuperated materials.

La performance è ispirata alle profezie legate alla fine del calendario Maya che termina nel 2012, i due
artisti dedicano alla loro speciale armonia e al loro rispetto per il pianeta, il loro show. Che i Maya
avessero ragione o meno, è chiaro che un diverso modo di vivere è necessario per tutti, per evitare
ulteriori catastrofi ambientali.
Lo spettacolo è costruito utilizzando elementi di diverse discipline quali Acrobalance/Adagio, Capoeira,
Shaolin KungFu e altro, il tutto gestito con il elemento più importante che è il fuoco.

The piece is inspired by the expecations connected to the ending of the Mayan calenders long count in
December of this year. The artists dedicate their show to the Ancient Mayans' special harmony with
and respect for the planet. What ever may happen as their calender count comes to an end, it is clear
that we all will have to find a new way of life to avoid further environmental disasters.
The show uses elements from many disciplines, from Acrobalance and Capoeira to Shaolin KungFu
others, all handled with our favorite element, Fire !

L' appassionato Elias Fehr ha partecipato alla Festa del Fuoco la prima volta a Stromboli nel 2008, e
ha subìto da allora l'incantesimo di Iddu e da lui è tornato anno dopo anno per godersi la magia dell'isola e il calore della famiglia della Festa del Fuoco. L'anno scorso era accompagnato per la prima volta
dalla Pagliaccia Laura Zieger, portata con se in una piccola valigia. Si è sentita subito adottata dalla
famiglia e ha ceduto anche lei alla magia di Stromboli. Dal allora anch'essa è stata contaminata dall'amore per il gioco col fuoco
Insieme si esibiscono dalla scorsa estate, presentando la loro propria miscela di teatro e danza col
fuoco.
The passionate Elias Fehr participated in the very first fire festival on Stromboli in 2008 and immediately fell under Iddu's spell and he has returned year after year to enjoy the magic of the island and
the warmth of the Festa del Fuoco family. Last year he was accompanied for the first time by the
Clowness Laura Zieger, brough along in a smallish suitcase. She immediately felt adopted by the family
and succumbed to the magic of Stromboli. Since that she has also been infected with the love for playing with fire

someone who visits us at night and tells us stories?
But maybe it is just like Dr. Freud supposed: “The dream is a psychosis, with all the nonsense, terror
and confusion to be expected.” Or maybe it is simply pYr !?

Thom Thumb
Thomas Waymouth è performer, insegnante, organizzatore di eventi, attore e poeta. Da Austin, in
Texas, viene per giocare con noi e mostrarci il meglio delle arti dei poi e del Flow.
Insegna arte del movimento in tutti i tipi di festival del mondo, e si è esibito con molti straordinari
artisti, ed ha interpretato il ruolo del pagliaccio nel film "Come l'acqua per gli elefanti".
Ama giocare in coppia e creare insieme ad altri.
E' uno degli oganizzatori del "Play Imersion Festival", il suo uso dei poi è di tipo meditativo, usandoli
come fonte di concentrazione gioiosa, e la sua missione permanente è portarci la leggerezza e la gioia
di chi non smette mai di giocare.
Oltre al suo spettacolo, durante la Festa condurrà un workshop intensivo di poi della durata di 5 giorni,
un pomeriggio di introduzione al partner poi , così' come darà l'opportunità al pubblico e agli artisti, di
partecipare al rito della camminata sui carboni ardenti!
Thomas Waymouth is a performer, teacher, event organizer, actor, and writer. From Austin, Texas,
he's come to play with us and teach the arts of poi and flow. He's taught movement arts at all kinds
of festivals around the world, performed with many amazing artists, and he played the role of a clown
in the motion picture Water for Elephants
He loves partner play and creating with others. An organizer of the “Play Imersion Festival”, his focus
is on poi play as a joyful meditation, and he is on a permanent mission to bring the silly. We welcome
him to the team as an ambassador of play!
In addition to performing, at the Festa del Fuoco di Stromboli he will conduct an in-depth 5-day poi
flow workshop, an afternoon of introduction to partner poi, as well as giving artists and audiences of
the festival the rare opportunity to participate in a fire walking rite !

VulcanSoul è il frutto di una collaborazione, risalente soltanto a un anno fa, di due performer Siciliani
amici da tempo.Marco Ape, è già al secondo anno sull'isola di Stromboli, in principio come volontario,
proveniente da un inverno trascorso tra Asia e Nuova Zelanda ad imparare ed insegnare nuove tecniche

aver arricchito le tecniche dopo un periodo trascorso in Oceania. Insieme creano laboratori riguardanti
tecnica e movimento. Quest'anno il duo è lieto di presentare alla Festa del Fuoco, "First Light" una
performance intensa e densa di significati ispirati alla forza del Vulcano. First Light vuole rappresentare la fase R.E.M. del sogno, una luce che si spegne per riaccendersi illuminando la via del risveglio.
VulcanSoul is the fruit of a collaboration, going back just a year, of two performers from the flanks
of the Etna, long time friends.Marco Ape, returns to Stromboli as a performer after participating
mostly as volunteer last year, having spent the winter in Asia and New Zealand learning and teaching
new double staff technique, He is teamed up with Nando Caramma, juggler and spinner since 5 years,
who, in addition to animation and street performance, dedicates a large slice of his time to the manipulation of fire, building on knowledge gained on a long voyage in Oceania.
These two collaborate in the creation of workshops on object manipulation and movement and this year
they are excited to present their show “First Light” at the Festa del Fuoco di Stromboli.
