Un telaio che pesa meno di 800 grammi, un materiale inedito che esalta le virtù del carbonio, un movimento centrale super-rigido che non ammette dispersioni di forza. Zero.7 è
la bicicletta più leggera mai realizzata da Wilier Triestina ed è nata con un obiettivo preciso: fissare nuovi standard nella concezione delle più sofisticate biciclette da corsa. Una
delle novità assolute di Zero.7 è BB386EVO, il nuovo sistema integrato per il movimento centrale che Wilier Triestina ha messo a punto con la collaborazione di FSA. Il box del
movimento centrale presenta una lunghezza e un diametro maggiori rispetto agli standard tradizionali, con risultati stupefacenti in termini di rigidità. Per rendere il telaio più sicuro
e confortevole abbiamo inserito un materiale dalla formulazione segreta (S.E.I. Film) fra gli strati di carbonio. Questo ritrovato ci ha consentito di compiere un notevole passo
avanti nell’assorbimento delle vibrazioni e nella resistenza all’impatto. Un’altra peculiarità di Zero.7 è lo sterzo a diametri differenziati: 1”1/8 all’estremità superiore, 1”1/4 in quella
inferiore. Questa particolare soluzione produce un bilanciamento ottimale fra la rigidità e la manovrabilità della bicicletta. Il risultato di tutti questi fattori ha un nome solo: velocità.
A frame weighing less than 800 grams, composites technology that takes carbon fiber to the next level, and a new bottom bracket system that maximizes efficiency. The Zero.7 is
the lightest bike Wilier Triestina has ever produced, and it was created with one goal in mind: to set a new standard for the most sophisticated race bikes. Zero.7 takes full advantage of BB386EVO, a new integrated bottom bracket designed by Wilier in collaboration with FSA. The box containing the bottom bracket is wider and has a larger diameter than
the traditional standards. The result is increased stiffness while enabling weight savings, which equates to better power transfer and efficiency. The introduction of our Zero.7 also
marks the first implementation of an exclusive Wilier technology: S.E.I. (Special Elastic Infiltrated) Film. The injection of a proprietary viscoelastic film between the layers of carbon
fiber increases vibration absorption and impact resistance, making the frame stronger and safer, and its ride more comfortable. S.E.I. has also enabled us to shave weight, as the
presence of this film reduces the need for intermediate modulus carbon. The Zero.7’s tapered steerer tube (from 1 1/8” to 1 1/4”) further enhances front end stability, providing
the perfect balance of lateral stiffness, comfort and precision handling. The combination of all these features makes for one thing: speed.

L’abbiamo chiamato S.E.I. Film: Special Elastic Integrated. E’ un esclusivo materiale “viscoelastico” che abbiamo inserito fra gli strati di carbonio del telaio per aumentare l’assorbimento delle vibrazioni
e la resistenza all’impatto. La rigidità ha il vantaggio di contrastare la dissipazione della forza muscolare: per questo in Zero.7 utilizziamo fibre ad altissimo modulo come il T60. Ma la rigidità non va
d’accordo con il comfort. Con S.E.I. Film siamo riusciti a mantenere inalterato il rendimento del telaio (la velocità sviluppata con una data energia), riducendo l’effetto delle vibrazioni trasmesse dal
suolo. Tutto ciò grazie alle straordinarie proprietà di questo ritrovato, già impiegato con risultati sorprendenti nelle racchette dei più forti tennisti al mondo. S.E.I. Film vuol dire anche meno peso, in
quanto rende necessaria una minore quantità di carbonio dal modulo elastico.
We’re calling it S.E.I. (Special Elastic Integrated) Film, an exclusive viscoelastic material we insert between the Zero.7’s carbon layers to improve vibration dampening properties while making the frame
more impact resistant. In order to maximize efficiency through lateral stiffness, we utilize high modulus T60 carbon. At the same time, our frames must provide comfort to prevent vibration-induced
fatigue. Wilier’s proprietary S.E.I. Film implementation has enabled us to preserve stiffness and efficiency while dampening vibration. The use of viscoelastic film in carbon composites is already a
proven technology in racket sports at the highest level, as well as in the aeronautical and automotive industries. The Zero.7 is evidence, once again, that a bike can be super-lightweight, laterally stiff
and responsive, while providing all-day comfort to help riders of all levels perform at their very best.

Il sistema BB386EVO porta alla sua massima evoluzione il concetto costruttivo del movimento centrale oversize, introdotto con successo da Wilier Triestina nel modello Cento1 e nelle successive
varianti. Per ottenere una rigidità senza precedenti in un punto cruciale del telaio abbiamo pensato ad un sistema innovativo, in grado di incorporare perfettamente una guarnitura rigida in un telaio
rigido. Il tradizionale BB30 risultava inadeguato in quanto richiede nel telaio una scocca da 68 mm, troppo ridotta per esprimere il livello di rigidità da noi ricercato. Partendo da questo presupposto,
in collaborazione con FSA abbiamo messo a punto il nuovo standard BB386EVO, che utilizza una guarnitura in carbonio con perno più lungo e una circonferenza maggiore nell’alloggiamento del
movimento centrale.
The BB386EVO system takes the oversized bottom bracket design concept, which was successfully introduced by Wilier Triestina in the Cento1 model and subsequent variations, to its next evolution.
To obtain an unprecedented stiffness at a crucial point of the frame, we have devised an innovative system that can perfectly incorporate an ultra-stiff crank into an ultra-stiff frame. The traditional
BB30 system proved inadequate because it requires a frame with a 68 mm box, which is too narrow to deliver the degree of stiffness that we wanted. With this in mind, we developed the new standard
BB386EVO in collaboration with FSA, which pairs a carbon crank with a longer 30 mm spindle and a wider 86.5 mm bottom bracket box.
Una delle peculiarità di questo telaio è lo sterzo a diametri differenziati. La
parte superiore misura 1”1/8, mentre la base è da 1”1/4. Questa particolare
differenziazione dei due diametri, visibile ma non particolarmente accentuata,

Ciò che chiamiamo “carbonio” è in realtà un mix di fibre di carbonio e resina
epossidica. Per ridurre al minimo il rischio di rotture siamo intervenuti sul
composito inserendo nella resina nanoparticelle a bassissima densità di
ossido di zinco (ZnO). L’effetto di questi corpuscoli è sorprendente: aumenta
la compattezza del composito e, di conseguenza, anche la resistenza agli urti.
The top of the headtube measures 1”1/8 while the base is 1”1/4. This
differentiation is slight, but it allows for an optimal balance of stiffness and
maneuverability of the bike, while keeping a focus on lightness and comfort.
To minimize the risk of breakage, we use a very low density Zinc Oxide
nanoparticle epoxy resin in our composites. This resin also makes the carbon
more compact by filling in the microscopic spaces between the fibers more
thoroughly.
L’equilibrio virtuoso fra rigidità, comfort e resistenza deriva da una sapiente
combinazione di fibre di carbonio con differenti specificità. Nel telaio di Zero.7
le parti più sollecitate sono realizzate con la fibra super-resistente MR60H,

L’aspetto esteriore non dice tutto sulla qualità di un composito di carbonio.
Determinanti per la qualità del telaio sono l’omogeneità degli spessori e
l’assenza di difetti nella superficie interna. Per arrivare a questo, Wilier Triestina
ha introdotto la tecnica costruttiva LIT (Large Inflatable Tube), che compatta
le fibre preimpregnate contro le pareti dello stampo, rendendo assolutamente
uniformi gli spessori del carbonio.
The perfect balance between stiffness, comfort, and strength comes from a
well selected combination of carbon fibers with different properties. In the
Zero.7 frame, the most stressed parts are reinforced with the super-strong
MR60H fiber, that can withstand 60 tons of pressure per square millimeter. This
fiber allows us to obtain the desired stiffness while using less material, thereby
reducing weight.
The outward appearance of a carbon composite does not reveal everything
about its quality. There are two crucial aspects that must be tightly controlled:
the uniformity of the thickness of the carbon, and the absence of defects on
the inner surface. To ensure top quality, Wilier Triestina has implemented the LIT
(Large Inflatable Tube) construction technique, which compacts the pre-preg
fibers against the walls of the mold, assuring an absolutely uniform thickness
of the carbon.

L’evoluzione è nulla senza tradizione. Con Zero.7 abbiamo capito quanto sia essenziale non disperdere nemmeno un watt di potenza. Modellando i telai da cronometro abbiamo
imparato a controllare i flussi d’aria. Migliaia di Cento1 costruite hanno confermato che il reggisella integrato è elemento vitale per chi esige le migliori prestazioni. Abbiamo raccolto

Evolution is nothing without an origin. When we developed the Zero.7, we sought to perfect power transfer, maximizing every watt of a rider’s effort. In designing our time trial bikes,
we learned how to control the flow of air. Our experience with the Cento1 confirmed that the integrated seatmast is vital for those who demand the best performance from their
bike. We combined these elements from our origins, and then the insight and experience of Wilier Triestina did the rest.

FORCELLA INTEGRATA / INTEGRATED FORK
La ricerca di una maggiore stabilità di guida ha focalizzato
e concentrato gli studi sull’area dello sterzo. È questa una
delle maggiori novità proposte da Cento1 SR. Un nuovo
posizionamento del tubo obliquo e del tubo orizzontale rispetto
al tubo di sterzo aumenta virtualmente l’altezza di quest’ultimo.
L’aumento virtuale che si genera, paragonato alla medesima
taglia di Cento1, incrementa la rigidità torsionale del 14%.
Nella nuova configurazione ribassata, il tubo obliquo che si
integra perfettamente con la testa della forcella genera un
profilo aerodinamico capace di ridurre la resistenza all’aria.
Il foro d’ingresso della bussola per il freno così nascosto dal
tubo obliquo, si mantiene pulito e ben protetto. Il nuovo design
aerodinamico che ne risulta dona allo sterzo un notevole rigore
estetico, caratterizzato da linee semplici ed armoniose. Gli steli
della forcella seguono le medesime caratteristiche aerodinamiche
adoperate sul modello TwinBlade. I foderi della forcella penetrano l’aria con una forma affusolata mentre il retro
segue con un profilo squadrato tecnicamente chiamato a “coda tronca”. La combinazione di queste due soluzioni
di forma aumenta l’efficienza della forcella, ottenendo un miglior compromesso tra aerodinamica, peso e rigidità,
rispetto allo stesso profilo con coda continua.
The handling of a Wilier bike is one of its most treasured attributes. We continually search for ways to further improve
the solid feel at the front end, which has led to some of the most significant of the Cento1 SR’s enhancements.
We found that a new way of positioning the down tube and top tube with respect to the head tube creates a
virtual increase of the head tube’s height, which makes it 14% stiffer in terms of torsional rigidity. The top tube
approaches the head tube at a downward angle while the down tube is angled upwards as it joins the head tube
and the Integrated Fork. This junction is traditionally like the point of a triangle, but this new angle and positioning
makes it more like a square, which is stiffer. The back of the fork’s brake hole is tucked into the down tube, keeping
it clean and protected from the elements. The Integrated Fork design also creates an aerodynamic profile that
reduces drag.
Drawing from research implemented in development of our Twin Blade, the Cento1 SR’s fork legs are designed
for optimal stability and aerodynamics. Like the proven Kamm truncated tail concept implemented in our time trial
models, both the Cento1 SR’s integrated seatmast and fork legs benefit from this structural innovation, thereby
attaining a perfect balance of lightweight, aerodynamics and steerability.
CAVI INTEGRATI / INTEGRATED CABLES
Un’ulteriore evoluzione sul sistema di trasmissione comandi
è l’introduzione dei cavi all’interno del telaio. L’INTEGRATED
ADJUSTER PLATE (IAP) è uno speciale dispositivo di fissaggio
e regolazione dei cavi comandi. La perfetta integrazione
dell’IAP nel telaio, rende Cento1 SR visivamente molto pulito
e privo di elementi esposti alla resistenza dell’aria. Facilmente
riposizionabile per la compatibilità con gruppi elettronici,
l’INTEGRATED ADJUSTER PLATE permette di integrare i cavi
all’interno del telaio e di reindirizzarli verso la scatola movimento.
Combinato con la speciale piastrina passa cavi, posta sotto la
scatola movimento, l’IAP mantiene i cavi ben distanziati dalle
superfici interne del tubo obliquo. Avere un cavo che non rispetta
questa posizione rischia di causare fastidiosi rumori e perdite di
efficienza nella cambiata. Grazie agli appositi registri interposti
tra l’IAP e le guaine, il gruppo meccanico è sempre registrabile,
anche durante l’utilizzo. L’ergonomica interfaccia e il suo facile
raggiungimento permettono al ciclista di trovare rapidamente la giusta regolazione di cambiata.
Further evolution has been realized through the implementation of our Integrated Adjuster Plate (IAP) cable routing
feature, enhancing aerodynamics as well as performance of both electronic and mechanical groups. The IAP is
integrated seamlessly into the Cento1 SR’s down tube to receive cable stops for mechanical groups or wire kits for
Shimano Di2 and Campagnolo EPS electronic systems. Interchangeable based upon a rider’s chosen group, the IAP
feature simplifies internal routing of cables, as well as creating a more functionally optimized as well as aesthetic
solution. In combination with a complementary and likewise integrated cable guide at the bottom bracket, IAP
ensures unobstructed, noise-free and friction-free cable routing and shifting. Furthermore, our cable stop option
for mechanical groups features integrated barrel adjusters for easy access while riding, as well as additionally
enhanced aerodynamics.

I percorsi che seguono le guaine e i cavi all’interno del telaio sono
stati anch’essi oggetto di attentissimi studi. La progettazione
e l’analisi hanno puntato a garantire la miglior scorrevolezza
possibile ai cavi di trasmissione comandi. Il risultato? Un nuovo
concetto applicato, esclusivo per il telaio Cento1 SR. Si tratta di una
nuova tipologia di piastrina passa cavi integrata sotto la scatola
movimento. Una piastrina standard normalmente indirizza i due
cavi di comando - cambio e deragliatore - con uguali angolature.
La 3D INTEGRATED CABLE ROUTING PLATE ha una sede studiata
appositamente per garantire un raggio di curvatura ottimizzato
per i diversi funzionamenti di ciascun cavo. Nel caso del cambio
far si che il cavo rimanga sospeso all’interno del fodero posteriore
orizzontale. Nel deragliatore invece, far si che il cavo raggiunga il
punto di fissaggio al deragliatore senza forzarne il naturale raggio
di curvatura. Come per l’IAP, anche il 3D ICRP viene perfettamente
integrato con il telaio. La forma compatta ed incassata nel telaio
genera una superficie continua dal punto di vista aerodinamico, migliorando la penetrazione dell’aria rispetto ai
modelli con piastrina tradizionale. Un altro punto a favore sull’aerodinamicità di Cento1 SR.
Cable routing directed internally within the frame has been an important part of our research and development
efforts. Smooth and reliable operation of the drivetrain and braking systems is an imperative part of determining
optimal cable routing; in fact, it is the number one priority. This led us to develop a feature exclusive to the Cento1
SR: 3D Integrated Cable Routing Plate (3D ICRP). It is a cable guide tucked flushly in the frame beneath the
bottom bracket that is designed with varied routing for each of the two cables. Unlike conventional cable guides,
the Cento1 SR’s 3D ICRP is designed to promote differentiated and specific routing for optimal functionality of
each of the derailleurs. The resulting profiling of the 3D ICRP integrated cable guide ensures both a sure feel at
the front derailleur as well as rear derailleur performance. An essential aspect of optimal internal routing is the
cable’s frictionless and contact-free movement within each of the frame tubes through which it passes. Additionally,
preserving the optimal arc of rear derailleur cable and housing between the point of exit from the frame at the
drive-side chainstay into the rear derailleur itself ensures smooth and “crisp” shifting across the entire cogset.
As with the complementary IAP component, the frame is sculpted at the bottom bracket to receive seamlessly
the 3D ICRP cable guide for Shimano Di2, Campagnolo EPS or mechanical systems. Its minimalist and integrated
characteristics assimilate the guide within the frame’s profiling to further enhance aerodynamics over conventional
cable guide designs.

che contraddistingue Cento1. Il braccio destro è abbassato per
favorire il passaggio della catena e per contrastarne la coppia
generata. Il braccio sinistro invece resiste all’allungamento
contestuale derivato dalla compressione sul braccio destro. I
foderi posteriori, piuttosto sottili, garantiscono un ulteriore confort
e ammorbidiscono le sollecitazioni verticali senza dissipare la forza
muscolare.
Another of the evolved SR features rooted in the original Cento1
design is our drive-side chainstay. Its shape and lower positioning
counteract chain torque, while the non-drive-side chainstay is
conversely designed to complement and work in conjunction
with the drive-side stay. The lowered drive-side stay also does
away with “chain slap” typical of conventional designs, especially
when traversing rough road surfaces. At the same time, our
minimalist and vertically compliant seatstays have been designed
to complement the oversized chainstays by dampening vibrations
while ensuring torsional and lateral stiffness for optimal power
transfer.
FORCELLINI INTEGRATI / INTEGRATED DROPOUT
Nessuna giunzione, niente colla né viti: i forcellini posteriori

Lugless and seamless. No bolts, no external bonding. The SR’s
rear dropouts are part and parcel of the integrated rear swingarm
design. Even the points of contact, traditionally bonded aluminum
sleeves or component parts, are part of the monocoque carbon
mold, contributing to overall stability and weight savings.
FORCELLINO3D / 3D REAR DERAILLEUR HANGER
Il forcellino evolve e implementa il suo nome. Nasce il FORCELLINO
3D. Non più una semplice e piatta piastrina di fissaggio per il
cambio.Ora il forcellino si sviluppa su una terza dimensione e
diventa anche fermo guaina. Questa terza dimensione acquisita
rende il forcellino particolarmente rigido rispetto alle piastrine
di fissaggio tradizionali. Grazie alla sua facile intercambiabilità,
il forcellino può essere sostituito in funzione del gruppo
utilizzato: per i gruppi meccanici presenta un foro standard per
l’alloggiamento della guaina. Per i gruppi elettronici viene fornito
un secondo forcellino con la sola predisposizione per il passaggio
del sottile cavo elettrico. Nel caso del gruppo meccanico, il cavo
comando del cambio, trovandosi in una posizione più vicina al
punto di fissaggio, permette di utilizzare una guaina di raccordo
più corta, facendo seguire a quest’ultima una curva naturale. Tutto
questo migliora l’efficienza e la scorrevolezza della cambiata. Oltre al migliorato percorso in uscita, la posizione del
fermoguaina, al di sopra del bloccaggio ruota, permette al cavo di mantenersi perfettamente sospeso all’interno del
fodero e, come per il tratto nel tubo obliquo, la lontananza dalle superfici interne del telaio elimina eventuali rumori.
Anche nel caso del gruppo elettronico, il punto di uscita del cavo è arretrato e posto al di sopra del bloccaggio della
ruota. Si facilitano e si velocizzano così le operazioni di rimozione e fissaggio della ruota posteriore.
Our optional derailleur hangers no longer merely represent simple component parts to facilitate standardized
installation of a rear derailleur. Cento1 SR derailleur hangers have assumed a third dimension of functionality,
facilitating different systems as well as serving as cable stops. In addition to these rich new features, our 3D
Derailleur Hangers are also much stiffer than conventional rear derailleur hangers. Easily interchangeable, 3D
Derailleur Hangers specifically facilitate either electronic or mechanical drivetrains. For mechanical groupsets, the
hanger features a standard cable stop. For electronic groupsets, the specifically designed hanger features a simple
opening through which passes the electronic wiring. In the case of mechanical routing, the cable stop is positioned
closer to the rear derailleur itself. This enables the implementation of a shorter length of housing from frame to
derailleur while preserving optimal cable arc, maximizing rear derailleur smoothness and performance. As with the
Cento1 SR’s internal cable routing through the down tube, this cable stop at the back end of the drive-side chainstay
keeps the rear derailleur shift cable well tensioned and centered within the stay for friction-free and noise-free
movement. The routing of electronic groupset wiring is also optimized, with the wiring’s point of exit positioned well
above the drive-side dropout for quick and unencumbered wheel changes.

Cento1SR e Zero.9. Due bici che appartengono alla stessa fascia di prezzo ma che
esprimono due concetti differenti. Se Cento1SR è la macchina del futuro, Zero.9 incontra
l’esigenza del ciclista abituato ad una bicicletta da corsa in carbonio ma dallo stile più
classico: telaio dal design tradizionale, tubi arrotondati, cavi esterni, reggisella non
integrato, colori sobri. Non per questo Zero.9 è sinonimo di bici non tecnologica. Anzi,
abbiamo creato una bicicletta adoperando lo stesso tipo di carbonio usato sulla Cento1,
sfruttando contemporaneamente tutte le altre tecnologie disponibili su Zero.7: movimento
centrale BB386 a larghezza maggiorata, tubo sterzo a diametri differenziati con 1”1/8
all’estremità superiore e 1”1/4 in quella inferiore. Abbiamo aggiunto qualche decina di
grammi al peso di Zero.7 fino a raggiungere l’equilibrio tra rigidità e peso emblema di
Zero.9: un telaio in fibra di carbonio monoscocca dal peso inferiore ai 990 grammi.
Cento1SR and Zero.9 are two models at the high end, which arrive at the top from
different conceptual starting points. While the Cento1SR typifies the racing bike of the
future, the Zero.9 is designed for riders who prefer a combination of the best of classical
and futuristic design elements: more conventional tube shapes, non-integrated seatpost,
and external cable routing. The Zero.9 utilizes the same carbon composites as the
Cento1, while implementing several Zero.7 features, such as BB386 for optimum power
transfer and a tapered head tube for excellent steering. Still a lightweight contender at
less than 990gr, the Zero.9 is a carbon monocoque model that epitomizes that magic
blend of stiffness, comfort and lightweight.

E’ la più amata da chi non pratica l’agonismo più esasperato. Il telaio è reso confortevole dal sistema Smooth Rear Design, che smorza le sollecitazioni verticali senza dissipare la
forza muscolare. Rigidità torsionale e stabilità vengono garantite dal Razor Edge Design: i profili che si diramano dal tubo sella e dal movimento centrale confluiscono in prossimità
dello sterzo. Lo spigolo che percorre la forcella per tutta la sua estensione rende l’avantreno particolarmente stabile e reattivo nella pedalata fuori sella.
Molti sono i concetti costruttivi che accomunano Granturismo a Cento1, la top bike di Wilier Triestina che in questi anni si è affermata nel mondo dei professionisti. Il carro posteriore
è asimmetrico, sia per quanto riguarda la disposizione degli strati di carbonio, sia per la diversa sagomatura e dimensione dei foderi orizzontali. Inoltre, ciascuno dei due foderi non
viene ottenuto tramite la giunzione di più parti, bensì è costituito da un unico elemento in monoscocca (Swingarm). Niente viti e niente colla, dunque, con gli spessori del composito
calcolati per il contrasto delle forze di trazione e non in base a necessità di assemblaggio. Siamo intervenuti anche sulle sezioni dei tubi principali, differenziate in base alle funzioni
strutturali dei singoli elementi. Per Granturismo abbiamo scelto l’alloggiamento integrato per i cavi dei comandi e dei freni, che scompaiono dentro il telaio migliorandone l’estetica
e riducendo gli attriti di scorrimento.
Our GranTurismo is a popular choice for uncompromising recreational riders and discerning amateur racers. The frame’s Smooth Rear Design dampens and dissipates vibrations
over all kinds of road surfaces. The Razor Edge Design overlaps top and down tubes at the head tube to form a single, integrated and reinforced unit. Combined with the unique
lines of the specially structured fork, we’ve optimized lateral stiffness and front end stability for quick accelerations as well as smooth, precise handling at speed.
Many of the design constructs that went into the creation - and success - of our top series Cento1 models make the Granturismo a worthy sibling. The Granturismo benefits
from an asymmetric rear triangle, a feature that has distinguished our top bikes in recent years. The differences in the tubes’ individual carbon layup, dimensions as well as their
configuration were dictated by the contrasting forces applied to each side while a rider pedals at varying intensities, seated and out of the saddle. Our Swingarm rear triangle design
is characterized by both continuous rear stays as well as integrated monocoque construction which unify the entire back end, including our “suspended” rear dropouts. There is no
gluing or bolt-fastening used to connect tubes following our high compaction monocoque curing process. Tubing shapes, thicknesses and directional fiber layups are implemented
as part of the mold and manufacturing process for optimal material consistency and load distribution. Like our top-end models, the Granturismo boasts internal cable routing for a
clean and minimalist look, as well as smooth, precision shifting.

Izoard Xp è uno dei baluardi dello stile Wilier Triestina. Campione di vendite da alcuni
anni, piace agli appassionati per la completezza delle sue qualità e per il rapporto
qualità/prezzo, che in passato le è valso il prestigioso premio Gear of the Year. La
versione XP utilizza carbonio con trama unidirezionale nello strato esterno del telaio.
Inoltre, la forcella è stata sagomata per una guida ancora più stabile e sicura. Proposta
nella versione 2013 con tre soluzioni grafiche di grande effetto.
The Izoard has been a top selling Wilier Triestina model for several years. It typifies the
brand’s emphasis on styling and ride quality while representing an amazing value. Our
efforts to offer a comfort bike that is as race-ready as it is affordable were validated
with an Outside Magazine Gear of the Year award. Our XP version benefits from an
outer layer of unidirectional carbon fiber, while its proprietary fork is designed and
contoured specifically to enhance the bike’s superior handling. For 2013, the Izoard
XP will be available in three color graphics that convey Italian refinement as well as
passion for speed.

Our Cross model offers the same unmistakable technological features
and style of our road models, but specifically adapted for the rigors
and challenges of cyclocross. Double butted aluminum frame, carbon

When your competitor is the clock, building a bike takes on an additional scientific
dimension. Drag coefficients, laminar vs turbulent airflow, aerodynamic shape
optimization, yaw angles, combined bike-rider footprints and composites technology
are only some of the aspects we address. Then there are countless hours we
spend in the wind tunnel to test hypotheses and prototypes before final validation

Prima di TwinBlade il vento era un avversario da battere, ora è un nostro alleato. Questo
telaio si fonda su un principio nuovo: controllare i flussi d’aria e recuperare l’energia
normalmente dissipata con la deformazione e gli attriti. I foderi del carro e della forcella
sono a distanza tale da annullare l’interferenza con le turbolenze generate dalle ruote.
I freni Aerobrake posteriori sono collocati al di sotto dei foderi orizzontali, nascosti
all’azione dell’aria da un cockpit in carbonio. TwinBlade utilizza anche un sistema
innovativo di regolazione della lunghezza del carro, che ha il vantaggio di mantenere
sempre invariata la distanza fra cambio e cassetta pignoni. Il dispositivo di bloccaggio del
reggisella è integrato nel telaio e assolutamente neutro dal punto di vista aerodinamico.
Anche l’esposizione esterna dei cavi di cambio e freni è stata ridotta al minimo. Inoltre,
per migliorare la regolazione del deragliatore ci siamo avvalsi di un attacco in grado di
allineare perfettamente qualsiasi deragliatore in funzione della guarnitura montata. Ma il
vero asso nella manica di TwinBlade è l’avantreno: la speciale forcella Twin Fork, in corso
di brevetto, offre il più alto rapporto mai ottenuto fra rigidità e aerodinamica, con un
vantaggio enorme nelle partenze e nei rilanci. E’ dotata di due stabilizzatori di flusso che
riducono le perturbazioni aerodinamiche. In aggiunta alla straordinaria rigidità conferita
all’avantreno, si ottiene un incredibile recupero di energia dissipata durante l’azione
atletica.
Our approach to aerodynamic design consists of seeing wind and airflow as allies. Our
TwinBlade respects the nature of airflow and seeks to manage it at every opportunity
in order to maximize efficiency by diminishing air turbulence and resistance. Chainstays,
seatstays and fork legs have a wider profile in order to distance them from turbulent
air generated by spinning wheels. Our Aerobrake design likewise widens the structural
profile of calipers to remove them from the path of rotational air turbulence. The rear
Aerobrake is positioned below chainstays and housed within a carbon shell to hide it
entirely from the flow of air. The rear dropout system enables precise positioning of
the rear wheel via four adjustment bolts to establish ideal wheelbase and alignment of
cogset in relation to the rear derailleur, including during wheel changes. The TwinBlade
also boasts an integrated seatpost binder assembly housed within the top tube. This
expansion assembly securely anchors the airfoil seatpost within the aero seat tube while
preserving seamless aerodynamics. Internal routing also minimizes exposure of brake and
cable housing. Our orbital front derailleur adjustment bolt ensures proper positioning of
the front derailleur. These features facilitate optimal orientation in relation to chainrings
across all prominent drivetrain systems for easier setup and optimal shifting performance.
The most visually dramatic aspect of the TwinBlade is its front end, which features another
Wilier Triestina exclusive destined to change the way aero bikes are designed: the Twin
Fork. This component of the TwinBlade provides a new level of stability in the front end,
as well as setting the standard in airflow management. The fork legs act as flow stabilizers
to minimize turbulence, while their integration with handlebars diminishes structural
deformation and flex.

I freni sono stati progettati per risultare completamente occultati all’azione frontale dell’aria. Nell’anteriore
sono stati armonizzati nella sagomatura della forcella, tanto da apparire come un’emanazione della forcella
stessa e da condividerne l’efficacia aerodinamica. Il freno posteriore, anch’esso perfettamente uniformato
alle linee di TwinBlade, è integrato sotto la scatola del movimento centrale e successivamente mascherato
da una scocca in carbonio che racchiude tutti i cablaggi. Il disegno del freno è di tipo a “V”, per una frenanta
potente e allo stesso tempo modulabile.
We designed our TwinBlade brakes to be invisible to the wind. The front caliper adopts the profile of the fork
itself, being assimilated into its aerodynamic footprint. The rear brake likewise assumes the aerodynamic lines
of the frame, positioned below the chainstays at the bottom bracket. It is housed in a carbon cover which
encases the caliper and cables, hiding the complete assembly from the wind.
Both calipers are of the “V-brake” variety for smooth, powerful and modular braking.

Forcellini posteriori / Rear dropouts
A differenza di molti telai da cronometro che utilizzano dei forcellini orizzontali (tipo pista) per modulare la
distanza tubolare-tubo piantone, TwinBlade è dotato di forcellini ad innesto verticale. Questo importante
dettaglio è stato studiato in collaborazione con gli atleti e i tecnici del Team Lampre per soddisfare da un lato
l’esigenza di una regolazione ottimale, dall’altra quella di un’agevole estrazione e sostituzione della ruota. Grazie
all’innovativo sistema di regolazione della lunghezza del carro, l’avanzamento e l’arretramento vengono eseguiti
mediante quattro apposite viti di fissaggio, per un’escursione massima di 6 mm. Indipendentemente dal tipo di
tubolare usato, la ruota sarà sempre vicina al tubo piantone, con evidenti vantaggi aerodinamici e di risposta allo
scatto. In caso di foratura, potrà essere liberata dai forcellini con estrema facilità.
In contrast to horizontal dropouts implemented in the design of many time trial and triathlon bikes, like those
utilized for track bikes to fine-tune chain tension as well as tire distance from the seat tube, the TwinBlade boasts
vertical dropouts. In working with ProTeam Lampre-ISD, we made the important decision to opt for vertical
dropouts like those utilized on standard road bikes for ease of use, dependability and quick wheel changes. Wilier
Triestina still insisted on a design that allowed for fine-tuning of rear wheel position and therefore of the cogset’s
orientation in relation to the rear derailleur. This enables optimal wheel alignment, aerodynamic positioning and
smooth shifting. Thanks to our innovative solution providing 6mm of adjustability, wheel base and distance from
tire to the rear of our truncated seat tube airfoil are customizable. This enables both aerodynamic and bike
handling optimizations, as well as making wheel changes fast and simple.
Deragliatore / Front derailleur
Per migliorare la registrazione del deragliatore in funzione della guarnitura utilizzata, l’attacco deragliatore
presenta sul lato sinistro del telaio una vite di regolazione che permette di far ruotare l’attacco stesso in
maniera orbitale. Dunque la posizione dell’attacco può essere modulata con estrema precisione sia in
altezza, per poter ospitare ingranaggi di varie misure, sia attorno al proprio asse. L’aggiunta di un grado di
libertà all’attacco deragliatore consente un allineamento perfetto con qualsiasi tipo di guarnitura e quindi una
cambiata sempre precisa. Essenziale con ingranaggi di tipo ovoidale.
In order to facilitate precise positioning of the front derailleur, we’ve designed an adjustment bolt accessible
on the left side of the frame that enables orbital orientation. This means that not only can the front derailleur
be adjusted to accommodate chainrings of various sizes; it can also be rotated and oriented around its own
axis. By adding another element of adjustability, Wilier encourages the seamless use and integration of any
type of crankset, chainring or rear derailleur, while promoting the smooth and precise functioning of these
key components. This includes the use of oval chainrings.

Il modello Blade utilizza la stessa scocca di TwinBlade, dal quale si
differenzia per l’uso di una forcella di tipo tradizionale e di un carbonio di
differente composizione. L’alloggiamento dei cavi dei freni e del cambio
scorre all’interno del telaio, con un ottimo risultato aerodinamico. Il
freno anteriore è di tipo tradizionale, mentre il posteriore mutua la
soluzione di TwinBlade con il “V” brake a scomparsa. Queste varianti
rispetto a TwinBlade ci consentono di proporre al pubblico un telaio
assolutamente performante ad un prezzo decisamente competitivo.
The Wilier Triestina Blade is made using the same manufacturing mold
as the TwinBlade, while having a different carbon composition, as well
as a more conventional fork. Brake and cable housing are routed
internally for optimal aerodynamics. The Blade utilizes a standard
front brake while benefitting from our hidden TwinBlade V-style rear
brake solution. These options incorporated into our Blade model
enable us to offer customers many of the cutting edge performance
benefits of the TwinBlade while representing a tremendous value.

POSTERIORE ASIMMETRICO / ASYMETRIC REAR STAYS
Nel posteriore asimmetrico troviamo la maggiore somiglianza
con il Cento1 SR da strada. Ribadiamo le importanti ragioni che
ci inducono a scegliere questa soluzione costruttiva sul carro
posteriore. Anche qui il braccio destro è modellato per favorire
il passaggio della catena e per contrastarne la coppia impressa.
La parte sinistra segue invece un proprio disegno speciale per
due ragioni: resistere all’allungamento contestuale derivato
dalla compressione della catena sul braccio destro e dar spazio
all’alloggiamento per il post mount, integrato all’interno del fodero
stesso.
The most visible similarity between the 101XN and Cento1 SR is
our signature asymmetric rear triangle. The drive-side chainstay is
lowered to counteract drivetrain torque. This has the added benefit
of reducing chain-slap, an especially nice feature in a performance
mountain bike. The non drive-side chainstay is designed to work
in complementary fashion with the drive-side, as well as for the
integrated disc brake mount.

dei bloccaggi ruota posteriore ricade su quelli di tipo tradizionale.
101XN è però già pronto a seguire i trend futuri in materia di
bloccaggio e alloggiamento del cambio.
The most popular rear skewer for MTB is still the traditional
type. Nevertheless, 101XN is equipped with a clever system of
interchangeable dropouts to accommodate different skewer and
rear derailleur dropout standards, including Thru Axle and Direct
Mount.
CAVI INTEGRATI / INTEGRATED CABLES
Come nel Cento1 SR, il 101XN integra i cavi di trasmissione
comandi all’interno del telaio grazie alla speciale placchetta
passa cavi integrata. Una soluzione che permette l’ingresso dei
cavi all’interno del telaio, indirizzandoli con un’angolatura ottimale
verso la scatola movimento centrale. Tutto questo tiene distanziato
i cavi dalle pareti interne del telaio, evitando fastidiosi rumori nei
momenti di maggiore sollecitazione. Questa speciale placchetta
predispone 101XN per un futuro gruppo elettronico .
Like the Cento1 SR, our 101XN boasts internal shifter cable
routing enhanced in form and function by our integrated cable
stops, designed to route cables at an ideal orientation inside the
down tube, and bottom bracket cable guides.
These features ensure that cables will not come in contact with
the inside walls of frame tubes, which could cause annoying
sounds, especially when traversing rough terrain. This features
also prepares the 101XN for use with future electronic off-road
groupsets.

This provides superior lateral stiffness, also due to our ability to
implement wider positioned and larger dimension chainstays.

This model can be positively referred to as the 101XN’s
little brother, boasting the same features and identical
geometry, as well as an asymmetric rear triangle styled
after the Cento1 SR, oversize bottom bracket, and internal
cable routing. The major difference is that the 501XN uses
a slightly different carbon composition than the 101XN.

La prima full suspended di casa Wilier. Vi abbiamo fatto attendere un po’ ma ora siamo pronti a darvi il meglio. Telaio biammortizzato per ruote da 26” ed escursione da 100mm.
Una sospensione molto reattiva e progressiva, scelta ottimale per evitare che l’ammortizzatore raggiunga il fine corsa. Bassissimo “pedal kickback”, soluzione ideale per affrontare
gli ostacoli pedalando. Buono anti-squat soprattutto per rapporti agili. Come nelle bici da strada top di gamma, la serie sterzo è differenziata: da 1” 1/8 sopra e 1” 1/2 sotto. Il
freno a disco posteriore è con supporto “post mount” per disco da 160mm di diametro, disponibile per mozzo normale e su richiesta per perno passante QR12.
We took our time in developing the 303, our first full-suspension model, because it had to be dialed in to perfection – and all Wilier. Based on 26” wheels, the suspension
provides 100mm of travel and is progressive as well as smooth so as to resist bottoming out. “Pedal kickback” is reduced or eliminated for smooth pedaling over all terrain,
and our “anti-squat” design is effective even when smaller gears are used. Like our top road models, the 303 Full utilizes tapered head and steerer tubes, in this case 1 1/8”
above and 1 1/2” below. Facilitating a 160mm disc brake, it is compatible with either a standard or QR12 hub.

Un restyling per la bici che omaggia il paese di Casa Wilier: Rossano Veneto. Il design è stato rivisto
alleggerendo il tubo obliquo, sostanziali modifiche anche al cambio, non più inserito nel mozzo, ma di tipo
classico. Cambio posteriore a 10 velocità, guarnitura tripla sul davanti. Si conferma invece la validità del
sistema di frenatura idraulico a disco.
The Rossano - named after the town which is home to our worldwide headquarters, Rossano Veneto - merited
a makeover. This new frame design is similar to the 2012 version, with the exception of a lighter weight down
tube for 2013. A significant change is the implementation of a rear derailleur, instead of an internal hub.

E’ il momento di “pensare in verde”. Rinunciare all’auto per andare a lavoro si può. Distanze permettendo. Ormai il bike-commuting è diventato aspetto essenziale nella vita di tutti i giorni. Obbligarvi
a farlo con una bicicletta tradizionale ci sembrava troppo. Abbiamo deciso di darvi un aiuto. Si chiama Ambra, la prima e-bike di casa Wilier. Una bicicletta a pedalata assistita che aiuta il ciclista a
mantenere senza fatica una buona velocità. Grazie ai suoi tre livelli di spinta, si può passare da un’andatura da passeggio ad una velocità di crociera prossima ai 25 km/h. Il telaio dall’aspetto green è
pensato per essere comodo, bilanciato e stabile. I pesi distribuiti verso il basso fanno della e-bike di casa Wilier un vero gioiello per chi si vuole approcciare al mondo del movimento sostenibile senza
faticare troppo. Assieme ad Ambra, muoversi agilmente nel traffico cittadino non sarà più esclusiva dei ciclisti più allenati.
It’s time to “think green,” to opt at times for the bike instead of driving to work or running errands. Commuting by bike has become a way of life for many, and an ideal for others. Using bikes intended
for sport or recreation can prove difficult or impractical, so we wanted to give a push to anyone interested in using a bike more frequently in their daily lives.
Ambra is Wilier Triestina’s first e-bike, a bicycle that assists a rider in maintaining – with less effort – elevated speed. Three levels of power enable a rider to go from a fairly modest pace to a cruising
speed of 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) per hour. The frame is designed to provide stability, balance and comfort. Its lower center of gravity makes this e-bike “a la Wilier” a veritable joy for those seeking
a more sustainable lifestyle, without needing to worry that they have taken on more than they can handle. With the help of our Ambra, you won’t need to be a well conditioned athlete to get around
without burning fossil fuels.
