AN INNATE PASSION
La storia di Milldue è la storia del suo fondatore,
Mario Brescacin che fin da bambino, negli anni
difficili del dopoguerra in Italia, si appassiona al
mestiere di falegname nella bottega dello zio.
Un’attrazione così grande che lo faceva
scappare appena possibile e saltare la
recinzione di casa per raggiungere il luogo che
lo affascinava.
Quella passione per la falegnameria è stata la
vera scuola di Milldue e rappresenta ancora oggi
un aspetto distintivo per noi.

The history of Milldue coincides with the history
of its founder Mario Brescacin who, in his
childhood during the though years of Italian
postwar period, became fond of woodworking
in his uncle’s carpenter workshop. Such a great
attraction made him run away from home and
jump over the fence at any time to reach the
place that fascinated him. Such passion for
woodworking, which has always been the real
school of Milldue, still represents a distinctive
feature of our company.

THE FIRST STEPS
Il 1976 è l’anno di fondazione di Milldue.
Mario Brescacin porta con sé l’abilità
manuale, la conoscenza dei materiali e le
esperienze come protagonista, nella epocale
evoluzione industriale dell’arredamento
degli anni ’60, applicandole all’ancora
inespresso settore dell’arredo bagno.
L’esperienza artigianale e l’intuizione
imprenditoriale di specializzarsi in questo
settore dell’arredamento hanno consentito
all’azienda di distinguersi con successo fin
dai primi passi.

1976 is the constitution year of Milldue;
Mario Brescacin, taking with him his
practical skill, the knowledge on materials
and the manufacturing experience learnt
as a protagonist of the furniture industrial
revolution of the 1960s, devoted himself to
the (at that time) undeveloped market of
bathroom furniture.
The craftsmanship and the business intuition
to specialize in such industry branch allowed
to the company to successfully stand out
since
its first steps.

Fondata a metà degli anni 70 a Castelfranco
Veneto,
Milldue ha un intimo legame con la sua città.
Come spesso avviene per molte realtà italiane,
la ricchezza e la bellezza dei propri luoghi lascia
un segno indelebile.
Le qualità di gusto, eleganza ed equilibrio
dell’architettura della cittadina veneta si riflettono
infatti nel modo di lavorare dell’azienda in un
proficuo scambio che ha permesso negli anni di
raggiungere importanti traguardi internazionali.

Constituted at the mid 1970s in Castelfranco
Veneto, Milldue bears an intimate bond with
its hometown. As it often happens for many
Italian businesses, the richness and the beauty
of someone’s territory leave a lasting mark
inside; such qualities like refinement, elegance
and balance in the architecture of this venetian
town actually reflect in the company’s way
of working, in a profitable exchange that has
permitted to reach remarkable international
goals over
the years.

Milldue può essere considerata la prima
azienda in Italia ad affrontare la produzione
di mobili per il bagno, fino ad allora settore
trascurato e meno ricercato come erano
invece la cucina o il salotto.
Nel 1976 partecipa per la prima volta
alla Fiera SAIE di Bologna e alla Mostra
Convegno a Milano con COLLEZIONE 36,
ricordata come una delle prime soluzioni
di componibilità a moduli per l’arredo della
stanza da bagno.

Milldue can be considered as the first
Italian producer to specifically deal with
bathroom furniture, which until that time
had been neglected and undervalued
in comparison to kitchen or living room
furniture. In 1976 the company takes part
at SAIE trade fair in Bologna and Mostra
Convegno in Milan with COLLEZIONE
36, which is considered as one of the
first modular solutions about bathroom
furniture.

Abbiamo sempre considerato la ricerca un

Il progetto Kubik riflette nel suo nome la ricerca stilistica intorno
alla semplice perfezione del cubo. Kubik impone un nuovo ideale
di bellezza e funzionalità. Una semplicità che non è mai scontata si
unisce a precisione costruttiva e un design d’eccellenza.
L’estrema novità è il passaggio dalla zona lavabo alla gestione
dell’intero spazio bagno. La tecnologia di Kubik permette infatti di
liberare gli elementi dall’ancoraggio a parete e di fissarli a centro
stanza mediante colonne strutturali che sostengono il mobile a sbalzo,
suddividendo i volumi e giocando in modo creativo con lo spazio.
Kubik collection reflects with its name the stylistic research on
cube and its perfection. Kubik imposes a new ideal of beauty and
functionality. Never expectable simplicity joins constructing precision
to get a design of excellence.
The extreme innovation of Kubik collection is the passage from the
washbasin zone to the management of the entire bath-space.
The Kubik technology allows all elements to be free from wall
anchorage and to be mounted in the middle of the bathroom by
the use of structural columns that support cantilever compositions,
dividing the volumes and creatively playing with space.
